Abstract

The objectives of this study include three things, namely (1) to describe the implementation of the PbL model with differentiated learning strategies to increase learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes; (2) Describe students' learning motivation after implementing the PbL model with a differentiated learning strategy; and (3) describe the increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes after implementing the PbL model with a differentiated learning strategy. The method used was classroom action research (CAR) with class X students as research subjects. Data were collected using observation techniques, questionnaires, and tests, with each instrument being an observation sheet on the application of the PBL model with differentiated learning strategies, learning motivation questionnaire sheets, and study result test sheet. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that (1) the application of the PbL model with a differentiated learning strategy is said to be successful if it reaches a percentage of ≥ 80%; (2) classical student learning motivation is said to be achieved if the percentage of learning motivation of all students in the class reaches ≥ 80%; (3) Students are said to have completed learning individually if they get a score of ≥ 75. Meanwhile, classical completeness is said to have been achieved if all students in the class have completed their studies with a percentage of ≥ 80%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of measurement material in class II at SD N Manukan Kulon. The approach used is Realistic Mathematics Education. The type of research used is classroom action research with the Kemmis and McTanggart models. The research stages consist of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 28 students of class II at SD N Manukan Kulon, Surabaya. Collecting data in this study using observation and tests. This test instrument tested content validity and expert judgment. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The success indicator is that 75% of all students are above the KKM limit. The results of the study show that the use of the RME approach can improve learning outcomes in mathematics measurement material. This is indicated by an increase in the average evaluation cycle I from 77.2 to 95.67 in cycle II. The percentage increase in students who completed was 80% from 20.45% to 85.56%.

Abstract

Various problems occur in the learning process in the classroom at an early age, such as the concentration of students in learning is still low, mostly students cannot answer the teacher's questions and the method used by the teacher is only limited to lecture and question and answer methods. Learning model become a vehicle for educational interaction between teachers and students in learning activities teach, then one way to growing student concentration is by inserting ice breaking in the learning process whose purpose is to arouse enthusiasm is also interesting re-concentration as well as student attention. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This data collection technique uses interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The focus of this research is how to implement Ice Breaking in increasing the Learning Concentration of Class Students 3B MI Muhammadiyah 28 Surabaya and what are the inhibiting and supporting factors in the implementation of Ice Breaking in MI Muhammadiyah 28 Surabaya the conclusion that can be drawn is that the Application of Ice Breaking with the quiz method with prizes really helps students in increasing concentration during learning takes place because they do not feel pressured and make them feel happy with the Ice Breaking method in Learning. In terms of support, students are more prepared to do learning and understand more quickly than not using ice breaker during the learning process

Abstract

The research problem is how much violence in the care of migrant workers' children. The research method used is quantitative. The data in the study are in the form of numbers. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The research site is a community of migrant workers in Malaysia. Data collection was carried out on October 13, 2023. Analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis are presented in graphical form. The results showed that 82% of migrant workers' children had experienced violence in care. 54% of perpetrators of violence are mothers. 63% of the cause of violence is the condition of parents tired of working. 36% of forms of violence were pinching and anger. 59% of the impact of violence was trauma. keywords: child migrant workers, violence

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of creative, critical speaking skills learning with the Challenge Based Learning model, as well as evaluating student perceptions of speaking learning in speaking skills courses. This research uses qualitative approach with survey model. The subjects of this study were 40 2nd semester students consisting of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students and English Education students of FKIP UMSurabaya. The instruments used were observation, questionnaires with questions about critical creative speaking. The results of the analysis of the implementation of this activity show that student learning gained new knowledge about how to improve critical creative thinking skills through the Challenge Based Learning model. The results of the questionnaire provided obtained information that students gave a positive response (84%) and gave the opinion that the ability to speak critically creatively can be done at the level of students with any character, and is considered to improve the ability to think creatively. In addition, this activity with the elaboration of critical creative learning and challenge-based learning model produces creative speaking skills, which can then be implemented by students in teaching speaking to students when they become professional teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes by using Project Based Learning (PjBL) method. This research was conducted on students in class XI-2 at SMAN 1 Sidoarjo using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The research subjects were students in class XI-2 with a total of 32 students. The research was started through tests followed by 2 cycles of class action research. Before the class action research was held, the average value of student learning outcomes was 79. After the implementation of the first cycle of action, the average value of learning outcomes became 82.1. The higher average value of learning outcomes in the second cycle, it was 86.75. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning method can improve student learning outcomes in class XI-2 at SMAN 1 Sidoarjo in history subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of PPKn is to foster national insight and awareness, attitudes and behavior that love the motherland and are based on national culture, insight into the archipelago, and national resilience in prospective successors to the nation who are studying and will master science, technology and art. Based on the initial reflections that were made that the teacher had not been able to utilize the media, the students also did not focus on the teacher's explanation during the learning process. The solution to overcome this problem is by applying the Make A Match Type Cooperative Model Assisted by PowerPoint. This learning model is one type of method in cooperative learning. Make A Match or looking for a partner is a cooperative learning technique that can develop students' abilities and the advantage of this technique is that it is able to create an active, conducive and fun learning atmosphere for students in participating in learning. The formulation of the problem is whether using the PowerPoint-Assisted Make A Match Type Cooperative model can improve the quality of Civics lessons? While the purpose of this research is to increase student activity, and student learning outcomes. The variables of this study are learning outcomes, student activities, student motivation, and student interaction in Civics learning. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 3 cycles with the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were class IIIB students of SDN Sidokare 2 Sidoarjo. This data collection technique is in the form of observation, interviews, and test methods. Data about student activity and motivation as well as suitability of scenarios in the learning process use observation techniques. Description test method to obtain data on the percentage of students who can answer correctly and incorrectly. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of research in the first cycle of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of student completeness by 60%, in the second cycle of student completeness increased to 84.5%, and to 90% in the third cycle of student learning outcomes get an average score in the good category. Student activity in cycle I got 70.1%, in cycle II it increased to 80.5%, and to 90% in cycle III the results of student activity were in the good category according to the expected maximum percentage. Student motivation in cycle I was 65.3%, in cycle II it increased to 70% but for student learning motivation it still did not reach the expected maximum percentage, in cycle III it was 85% the results of student motivation were in a good category according to the maximum percentage expected . Student interaction in cycle I was 75%, in cycle II it increased to 80.3%, and to 87.5% in cycle III the results of student interaction at the beginning of the cycle had reached the expected maximum percentage. Node through the application of the PowerPoint-Assisted Make A Match Type Cooperative model can improve student learning outcomes, student activities, student motivation and class IIIB student interaction at SDN Sidokare 2 Sidoarjo in Civics learning. Suggestions for teachers to apply the Make A Match model not only in Civics subjects, but also in other subjects to make it more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The importance of this research is to dig deeper into how advertising plays an active role in representing gender and influencing people’s perceptions. This research aims to find out what image is formed of woman through the KPK advertisement “Prevent Nyokap from Bribery” ahead of the 2024 election using critical discourse analysis of Sara Mills theory. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research data is in the form of analyzing data sourced from KPK advertisements in the form of images from the official website kpk.go.id. Data was collected using listening techniques, then analyzed by describing and recording the data that had been collected. The focus of this research is to see how women are represented in advertisements through thir existing positions. Based on the analysis and research that has been carried out, it was found that the position of men as subjects and woman as objects in these advertisements. The final results of the research show that the image presented in this advertisements is a negative image of woman, namely that woman tend not to think critically in choosing leaders, labelling them materealistic as well as being extravagant.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Project is the development of students' understanding of the profile of Pancasila students. according to the results of the author's interviews and observations with the fourth grade teacher of SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari, the author found a phenomenon related to the implementation of P5 activities at SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The subjects in this study were the principal, fourth grade teacher, and fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency which was held from February to April 2024. Data collection methods in this study used interview techniques, observation, documentation and peer assessment. In this study, the data validity techniques used were source and technique triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the project activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students starts from planning, implementation, evaluation, and supporting and inhibiting factors of the project activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in class IV SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari. The activity goes through several steps starting from the first planning, forming a team of facilitators, identifying the readiness of education units, determining dimensions, themes and time allocations and compiling project modules. The second is the implementation of the Pancasila student profile project activities, at SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari, especially in class IV, has implemented the project activities.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of the discussion method in increasing the learning achievement of class X students at MAN 2. The type of research used is qualitative research and uses the library research method. The data collection techniques used in this research used interviews, observation and documentation. After the data is collected, it is then analyzed by collecting data, reducing data and drawing conclusions. From the results of the researcher's analysis, it shows that. The discussion method applied by the teaching staff at MAN 2 Sinjai is very well implemented because by applying this method students can carry out the process of exchanging opinions with other students, every student who can be active in using this discussion method can gain many benefits if they are active in the process, because this method really helps students to continue to think critically, practice public speaking, and provide their thoughts and ideas. So, by maximizing the implementation of the discussion method, it is hoped that students can achieve learning goals more effectively and efficiently
