Abstract

Currently, various very rapid developments occur in the world of construction. One example is the development of concrete technology. Concrete is the result of technological engineering, concrete is produced from a mixture of cement, fine aggregate (sand), coarse aggregate (gravel), and water. Concrete is also usually added with certain materials to support the quality of the concrete. In this study, abaca fiber was used as an additive in the concrete mixture. The purpose of this study was to obtain the effect of adding abaca fiber by 0.5%, 0.75%, 1%, 2.72%, 4.08% and 5.44% on the weight of cement. Samples of test specimens were made of 50 samples, 20 samples of normal concrete and 30 samples of variation concrete. Treatment of the test object is done by soaking the concrete for 28 days. The compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete were tested when the age of the specimen reached 28 days. The results of this test indicate that the 0.5% variation of concrete has a compressive strength of 29.23 Mpa and a flexural strength of 5.33 Mpa. This shows that the addition of abaca fiber produces higher compressive and flexural strength values than normal concrete.

Abstract

Environmental damage that generally occurs is coastal abrasion. This problem must be addressed immediately because it can result in enormous losses for living things and ecosystems. Abrasion is the erosion or reduction of land (coast) due to wave activity, currents and tides. In this connection, land compaction causes the land surface to drop and be inundated by sea water so that the coastline changes. coastal abrasion langan. The purpose of this study is to find out how much coastal wave deformation occurs in Galesong Village and find out how countermeasures can be done to prevent abrasion in Galesong Village.  Countermeasures that can be done in Galesong village are by using the seawall method. With the wave deformation of Galesong beach as follows, The wave height of the plan is 1.89 m, The wave height breaks 1.10 m, The wave depth breaks 1.60 m, and The wave period is 10 seconds.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain: (1) the dimensions of the drainage channel cross-section with the presence of pores, (2) the infiltration discharge with the presence of pores in the drainage, and (3) the flow discharge with the presence of pores in the drainage channel. This study took place in the New Golden Hills Housing Block I, which is located in the Manggala Village, Manggala District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. Data collection techniques were carried out by direct observation, in managing data using descriptive qualitative methods, namely the method of calculation and elaboration of the results of processing field data from the location being reviewed. The results of research with the presence of pores as follows; with a distance of 2 meters between pores along the channel, it is proven that it can affect the flow rate, where before the pores, the flow rate is 1.0249 m3/second, and after the pores the flow is 1.0245 m3/second. Where the flow rate in the main channel 1 is 0.3610 m3/second, the infiltration discharge in the main channel 2 is 0.2995 m3/second, and the infiltration discharge in the main channel 3 is 0.3640 m3/second. However, with the presence of pores, it does not have much effect on the dimensions of the drainage channel.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a fairly rapid private vehicle ownership. This is not in line with the increase in parking space as a parking lot. Shopping centers often experience problems with the availability of parking spaces so that it is not uncommon for the shoulder of the road to be used as a parking area, therefore it is necessary to identify road performance and parking characteristics on the Ahmad Yani road, Makassar City. Road performance analyzed is, Traffic Volume, Capacity, Speed, Parking Volume, Parking Accumulation. From the results of observations made on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Makassar City for 1 week, it was found that the largest vehicles passing on Jalan Ahmad Yani Makassar City were 18736 vehicles on Sundays. The largest parking volume for cars is 68 vehicles and for motorcycles 26 vehicles. The capacity after using the shoulder of the road as a parking lot is 11007 pcu/hour.

Abstract

The Pamukkulu irrigation area is located in Kab. Takalar with an area of 6005.9 ha where the main water source comes from the Pamukkulu river basin by taking irrigation water from the Pamukkulu Weir, Cakura Weir and Jenemarung Weir. This study aims to analyze the availability of water using reliable discharge (Q80%) using rainfall data using the FJ.Mock method, and to analyze irrigation water requirements in the Pamukkulu irrigation area. The results of the analysis obtained the amount of reliable discharge (Q80%) of 524,06 m3/s with an average reliable discharge of 21,84 m3/s. Meanwhile, the water demand in the Pamukkulu irrigation area is 82,33 m3/sec with an average irrigation water requirement of 3,43 m3/sec. Based on the results of the calculation of the availability of irrigation water to meet the needs of irrigation water, it was concluded that there was a surplus/excess water in meeting the needs of irrigation water in the Pamukkulu irrigation area.

Abstract

The construction of the Makassar – Parepare Railway in South Sulawesi currently uses the R60 rail type and the spur width is 1435mm, currently this type of rail is the first rail type used in Indonesia because the majority in Java and Sumatra still use the R54 rail type and the 1067mm spur width. . For this reason, this research review aims to calculate the effectiveness of the two types of rail based on the cross-carrying capacity of PT Tonasa cement freight transport in the 2050 projection from Tonasa Station - Makassar Newport Station. Things that need to be prepared in this research include collecting primary data and secondary data in the form of an outline map of the Makassar – Parepare railway line construction, the amount of PT Tonasa cement production and calculating production projections in 2050, data on the needs for facilities that are planned to be used in South Sulawesi, calculate the effectiveness of the number of carriages needed and the frequency of train trips between the rail type R60 1435 and the rail type R54 1067. The results of this study obtained a plan for the number of cement transportation from Tonasa Station - Makassar Newport Station of 3,237,590 tons. The transport capacity of the R60 1435mm rail type saves 297 tons/train more than the R54 1067mm rail type, and saves more on the frequency of train trips from 10x trips to 5x train trips.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the comparison of alternative modes of transportation for the most optimal transportation of goods from Bulukumba Regency to Makassar City using the AHP method. This study is quantitative and uses a survey approach. The results of this study indicate that Based on travel time, pickup is the fastest mode of freight transportation when compared to 2 axle trucks and 3- to 4-axle trucks. According to the volume of transport, the 345-axle truck is the best alternative mode of freight transportation and has a higher load capacity than 2 axle trucks and pick-ups. Meanwhile, pick-up is the most cost-effective mode of freight transportation when compared to 2 axle and 345 axle trucks. So, when looking at the criteria in terms of operational costs, travel time, range, and volume of transport, the 3-4-5 As truck is the most optimal alternative in choosing the capital for goods transportation on the Bulukumba Makassar route, followed by 2 As trucks, and finally, pick up.

Abstract

Water requirements in irrigation are very variable depending on land conditions and management. This research aims to determine the mainstay discharge in the watershed and water availability to meet water needs in Kalukku, Mamuju district. These needs include evaporation, plant needs, and water loss. Therefore, it is planned to determine the amount of reliable discharge that can be relied upon for water availability in the Kalukku watershed and the value of raw water availability in meeting water needs in irrigation areas in Kalukku. The aim of this research is to determine the amount of reliable discharge that can be relied upon for water availability in the Kalukku watershed and to determine the value of raw water availability in meeting water needs in irrigation areas in Kalukku. This research focuses on the irrigation area of the Kalukku River through the wide Kalukku Dam. The research results show that the mainstay discharge (Q80) of rainfall is 21.96 m3/sec, Q50 is 39.00 m3/sec, and Q20 is 60.06 m3/sec. The availability of irrigation water in D.I Kalukku is sufficient to meet the needs of rice plants in three growing seasons. There is a water surplus in MT1 and adequate supply in MT2 and MT3. This shows that D.I Kalukku has sufficient water supply for rice farming in that planting season. The availability of irrigation water is 128.9 m3/sec while the irrigation requirement is 17.7 m3/sec. This shows that there is enough water available to meet the needs of plants in MT3.

Abstract

The market is a public facility that functions as a place to channel community needs in the context of economic activities. The market as a place where buying and selling takes place between sellers and buyers is one of the largest sources of waste in Indonesia, where 22.78% of the 22.36 million tons of waste comes from the market in 2022. This research aims to find out the existing waste management system, volume waste generation and knowing the effective and efficient waste management system at Panakkukang Market, Makassar City. This research uses a quantitative approach, with a total of 23 waste generation measurement points from 9 types of samples. The results of this research are that waste management at Panakkukang Market is carried out using individual storage, direct individual collection, and waste transportation using a compactor truck with a capacity of 9000 Lt. Apart from that, the amount of waste generated by Panakkukang Market is 6,092 liters/day, and to make the waste management process more effective and efficient, it can be done by paying attention to the storage, collection and transportation of waste in accordance with SNI-2454-2002 and maximizing the participation of the community to participate in optimizing waste management such as composting, recycling or reusing waste (3R).

Abstract

Asphalt concrete is an even mixture of aggregate and asphalt as a binder. Before mixing, the two ingredients must be heated to dry the aggregate and get a sufficient liquid level of asphalt to make the mixture easy. Ceramic waste can be used as an alternative aggregate in asphalt concrete mixtures. They must be ground until they meet the standard fine aggregate grain diameter. The objective of this research is to evaluate that the fine aggregate samples studied are crushed ceramic waste; to evaluate ceramics used as fine aggregates in hot asphalt mixes that meet asphalt concrete quality standards; and to evaluate the properties of hot asphalt that uses ceramic waste as fine aggregates. I chose the title of this research because ceramic waste improves asphalt concrete's quality. The research uses the Marshall testing method, which is meant to determine the resistance (stability) to plastic melting (flow) of the asphalt and aggregate mixture. The asphalt concrete mixture uses a variety of ceramic waste fine aggregates of 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%. With  The 100% ceramic waste asphalt mix had the highest Marshall stability value, with an average of 1561.07 kg; the 25% ceramic waste asphalt mix had the lowest, with an average of 1548.31 kg.
