El Waroqoh: Jurnal Ushuluddin dan Filsafat is a peer reviewed journal which is highly dedicated as public space to deeply explore and widely socialize various creative and brilliance academic ideas, concepts, and research findings from the researchers, academicians, and practitioners who are concerning to develop and promote the religious thoughts, and philosophies. Nevertheless, the ideas which are promoting by this journal not just limited to the concept per se, but also expected to the contextualization into the daily religious life, such as, inter-religious dialogue, Islamic movement, living Quran, living Hadith, and other issues which are socially, culturally, and politically correlate to the Islamic and Muslim community development.

Abstract

This article will reveal the various methods of the interpreters in understanding the tajs?m verses, because in fact, as one of the topics in the Qur'an whose discussion area is related to the Islamic faith, the tajs?m verses continue to be discussed among the interpreters from classical times to contemporary times. Of course, from these discussions, various differences of opinion continue to be born regarding the views of the interpreters in understanding the tajs?m verses. The method used in the study is descriptive analysis with a library research approach which resulted in the conclusion that in understanding the tajs?m verses, the interpreters are divided into three schools of thought. First, the Salaf group or the al-Mufawwidzah school, namely the group that submits the entire meaning of the tajs?m verses to Allah SWT. Second, the Khalaf group or the al-Mu'awwilah school, namely the group that uses the takwil method in understanding the tajs?m verses. Third, the Moderate group or the al-Mutawassitin school, namely the group that chooses the middle way in understanding the tajs?m verses, in the sense that they accept the interpretation of the tajs?m verses if the result is not too contradictory to the scope of the meaning of the word, but if the interpretation of the word is too contradictory to the scope of the meaning of the word in question, they will choose to submit its meaning to Allah SWT as the belief of the Salaf group.

Abstract

The purpose of Nuzulul Qur'an event among Indonesian people is to introduce the basic things of Nuzululul Qur'an, but unfortunately not all oral messages delivered are the basic things of Nuzulul Qur'an but the cultural value of Nuzulul Qur'an event. Therefore, this study analyzes the basic points of Nuzulul Qur'an and the generalization of the community about the Nuzulul Qur'an event. The research paradigm used is the literature method and open-ended questionnaires. The conclusion regarding the basic points can be divided into four parts, while the generalization of the cultural value of the Nuzulul Qur'an event shows positive things that motivate Muslims to do good things.

Abstract

The celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's Mawlid in Indonesia has been a cultural tradition introduced since the era of Wali Songo. Mawlid Nabi is held to commemorate the birth of the Great Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The connection between the commemoration of Mawlid Nabi and character formation is highly relevant. Research using a descriptive qualitative approach shows that the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's Mawlid, conducted in Tlogoargo Village, Tiris District, Probolinggo Regency, has a significant influence on the character development of the village community. This celebration is usually carried out through various events such as religious lectures, competitions, and storytelling about the life of Prophet Muhammad from birth to his passing. The celebration, which is accompanied by various activities, provides valuable lessons on how to show respect, love, and honesty in social life, as well as in the context of the nation and state.

Abstract

The crisis of honesty in transactions has become a moral challenge threatening social and economic stability in society. This article aims to analyze the concept of honesty in transactions based on the Qur'an and propose Qur'anic education solutions to combat fraudulent practices. This research employs a thematic exegesis method (tafsir maudhu’i) with a qualitative approach through library research, involving the analysis of Qur'anic verses on honesty, classical exegesis books, and supporting literature. The findings indicate that the Qur'an strongly emphasizes honesty in transactions as a fundamental basis for justice, transparency, and blessings. Verses such as QS. Al-Mutaffifin and QS. Al-Baqarah issue stern warnings against fraudulent practices while highlighting the importance of documenting and witnessing transactions to prevent disputes. In conclusion, Qur'anic education that instills the values of siddiq (honesty) and amanah (trustworthiness) through gradual approaches and practical applications serves as a strategic solution to foster honest character in individuals, positively influencing social morality at large.

Abstract

The Living Qur’an represents a phenomenon of implementing Qur’anic values in daily life through concrete religious practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur’anic values through the tahfizh Al-Qur’an program at Pondok Pesantren Ad-Diniyah Sumber Batu Blumbungan Larangan Pamekasan. This qualitative research employs a phenomenological approach using data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Research informants comprise the pesantren head, tahfizh program director, three tahfizh teachers, and five active students. The findings reveal that the tahfizh Al-Qur’an program at this pesantren is motivated by the aspiration to produce a generation of hafizul Qur’an and to ground the Qur’an within society. Activities are conducted during morning sessions (05:00-06:40) and afternoon sessions (16:30-17:30) utilizing varied methodologies. The implementation of Qur’anic values is reflected in the cultivation of patience, honesty, and tauhid values through the tahfizh learning process. This research contributes to the development of Living Qur’an studies within the context of pesantren education and provides an applicable model for implementing Qur’anic values.
