Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the satisfaction level of customers/community with the e-Government services provided by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of the DIY Province and to explore their experiences in using these services. Through comprehensive analysis, this study provides an overview of the effectiveness and user experiences of e-Government initiatives in the DIY Province. The research adopts a qualitative approach and utilizes three main data collection techniques: interviews, observations, and documentation at the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of DIY Province. Interview data encompasses users' views, opinions, and experiences with e-Government services, analyzed descriptively to understand user satisfaction and experiences with the provided services. BPS Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta operates through four main stages of statistical activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of provided statistical data. Users of the online service portal face challenges such as data incompleteness and unfamiliar portal interface, although improvement efforts, including inventory data collection and integration of live chat feature, have been initiated. Additionally, a Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) indicates high satisfaction levels, with a 94.06% satisfaction index for service quality and 97.14% satisfaction for facilities provided by BPS Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to quantify the level of sustainability accounting disclosures from the standpoint of maqasid al-Shari'ah. In order to record Islamic banks' sustainability accounting performance, an index structure is created. This index evaluates the performance of Islamic banks by building on a number of earlier empirical investigations. Our examination of the sustainability accounting disclosures from a maqasid sharia perspective revealed that each bank in the sample disclosed how well it adheres to the fundamental principles and ideals of Islamic banking. The third consequence self is the one with the lowest number. The Islamic Bank Maldives has received the greatest ratings for the fourth, fifth, and sixth consequences; the overall top score goes to the second consequence, which is related to rights and stakeholders.

Abstract

The research conducted between 2019 and 2023 examines how leverage, inventory levels, sales growth, and CEO compensation influence tax avoidance in consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study utilizes descriptive statistics, classical hypothesis testing, and multiple regression analysis to analyze secondary data sourced from annual reports and financial statements. The findings suggest that leverage has no major influence on tax evasion, which contradicts earlier studies. Higher inventory levels are found to significantly decrease tax avoidance, implying that increased inventory may enhance taxable income. Sales growth is positively associated with tax avoidance, consistent with agency theory, which posits that rising profits encourage more tax avoidance. However, executive compensation does not appear to significantly affect tax avoidance, suggesting that the current compensation models in Indonesia might not be effective in driving tax avoidance behavior.

Abstract

This research examines how the twin deficits (budget deficit and trade balance) influence economic growth in APEC members. Economic growth serves in place of the variable that is dependent, with the budget deficit and balance of trade as the variables that are independent. The 15 APEC member economies that are covered by the panel data was employed in this inquiry for the years 2018–2021. Throughout the investigation, panel data regression was adopted and the Common Effect Model (CEM) was decided on. As shown by its findings, the budget deficit significantly and favorably affects economic growth, whereas the trade balance has no appreciable effect. Both balance of trade and budget shortfall have a notable effect on growth of the economy concurrently.
