Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on work discipline and organizational commitment at the Environmental Agency of Tarakan City. The research employs both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 125 respondents, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews with selected informants. Data analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM with the SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that organizational culture has a significant positive influence on work discipline and organizational commitment. This study provides recommendations for the Environmental Agency of Tarakan City to strengthen organizational culture by enhancing teamwork, disseminating policies effectively, and implementing a consistent reward system. The study's limitations include its focus on a single independent variable and two dependent variables, as well as its cross-sectional nature, which does not capture long-term dynamics. Future research is encouraged to explore additional variables that may influence work discipline and organizational commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between intellectual capital (IC), dynamic capability (DC), and corporate performance (CP) while identifying gaps in the existing literature. IC, comprising human capital, structural capital, and relational capital, serves as a strategic resource for driving competitive advantage and sustainable corporate performance. Meanwhile, DC, which encompasses sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring capabilities, acts as the primary mediator in leveraging IC to respond to environmental dynamics. This study also reviews relevant literature to construct an integrative theoretical framework based on the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capability View (DCV). Practically, the research provides insights for companies to enhance performance through the optimization of IC and strengthening of DC. The findings identify trends, offer directions for future research, and recommend the development of strategic frameworks applicable across various sectors.

Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia's main plantation commodities with high export value. As the world's leading coffee producer, Indonesia actively exports coffee as part of its national economic strategy. The results showed that certified land area significantly affected land conversion decisions. Gender, age, credit, and rice production negatively affect land conversion decisions, indicating a tendency for good credit management and increased rice production to reduce the tendency of conversion of paddy and non-paddy land.

Abstract

Salt is an important commodity for households and industries in Indonesia, with increasing national needs. However, domestic production is still limited, so dependence on imports is the main challenge. This study analyzes the causal relationship between salt imports and domestic prices using the Granger causality test with secondary data from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) and the Central Statistics Agency (CSA) for the 2011–2023 period. The methods used are Vector Autoregression (VAR) and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to test long-term and short-term relationships. The results show that in the short term, salt imports do not have a direct causal relationship with domestic prices, but in the long term, there is a balance relationship between the two. In addition, domestic salt prices also do not directly affect import volumes in the short term, but contribute to import variability in the long term. These findings underscore the importance of balanced import policies to maintain price stability, protect local salt farmers, and meet the needs of the industry in a sustainable manner.

The sampling technique uses a non-probability sampling technique using a purposive sampling method which is then processed using the PLS-SEM statistical analysis tool using SmartPLS software version 3.0. The results of the study indicate that antecedent factors have a significant influence on the formation of consumer trust, which ultimately has an impact on increasing purchase intention. These findings provide insight for e-commerce industry players in designing strategies to increase consumer trust and engagement.
