Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of different feed ingredient as a source of animal protein fed to Dumbo Catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The study was conducted at Tatura Utara village, Palu Selatan sub district, Palu District from January to March 2015. A total of 240 fish seeds were fed with diet containing either fish meal, chicken intestime meal or their combination. Parameters observed were growth of biomass weight, protein digestibility and FCR. Data were analyzed by analisys of variance with completely randomized factorial design. Results indicated that the effect of tipe of animal protein, the quantity of feed offered and their interactions produced significant different in biomass weight, protein digestibility and FCR, except quantity of feed offered did not produced significant different in protein digestibility. Means growth of biomass weight and protein digestibility from each treatment were 5.174 g and 85.9% for chicken intestine meal, 9.6 g and 95.1% for fish meal, 7.9 g and 92.5% for chicken intestine meal + fish meal, and 7.9 g and 91.3% for at satiation and 7.2 g and 7.2 g and 91.0% for 4% biomass treatment and interaction between fish meal and at satiation were 9.6 g and 95.4%. in conclusion, the use of fish meal and the interaction between fish meal and at satiation produced biomass weight and protein digestibility in the highest level in this study.

Abstract

People living around the forest area depend on forest and forestry activities. Dependence might be seen from economic, social and cultural aspects. This was descriptive research using survey approach. The respondents were sampled from the population who live as subvillage 5, Sidondo I and subvillage 2, Pakuli around LLNP by using questionnaires. The results showed the utilization forms of non timber forest products are bamboo used for building materials, firewood for energy sources and candlenut for food sources. Bamboo and candlenut are non timber forest products that might be income sources, firewood is for everyday purposes. All the three forest products are non timber forest products are predominantly conection by respondents from LLNP area. The people’s dependence upon the LLNP from economic aspect is quite high, while the social aspect and the cultural aspect is low.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe difference of students’ learning outcome between students that enrolled problem-based learning and inqury learning model for two conditions of learning styles. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Palu used quasy-experiment method with 2 ´ 2 factorial. The two learning models were as two factors and learning styles were two factors, i.e field independent and field dependent. The research instruments were learning styles test and mathematics conceptual understanding test. Sample of the research was 42 students at Class XI-IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Palu and it was determined by random sampling. Research data analysis used two-path analysis. Results of the data analysis showed that (for α = 0,05): (1) there was a significant difference of mathematics learning outcome of students who enrolled problem-based learning model and students who enrolled inquiry model; (2) there was a significant difference of mathematics learning outcome between students with independent and dependent of learning style; (3) there was an interaction between the learning models and the learning styles and their effect to the mathematics learning outcome; and (4) The students’ learning outcome for the problem-based learning was better than the students’ learning outcome for the inquiry learning model, for the two learning styles.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of artificial insemination in Locally bull using liquid cement based on conception rate (CR) and service per conception (S/C) in Kab. Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat Province. And to study the economic value of artificia insemination using liquid semen on local bull in Kab. Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat Province. This research used survey methode and record 109 cattle that have been inseminated from 36 farmer in Kabupaten Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat Province. Liquid semen that used is from Simental, Limosin and Bali breed. The data is analised by deskripted statistic. Result of this research is shown 93,3 % (94 : 109 cattle) or S/C is 1,08. The cost of using liquid semen on the implemantation AI per pregnancy is Rp. 178.200,- lower178% compared by AI using a frozen semen. Further research is needed about AI using a liquid semen from local region.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe student’s metacognition in solving mathematics problem. The research subjects were two students of class VII of a junior high school in Buko. The two subject represented types of components metacognition i.e one student has cognition knowlwdge and another has cognition regulation. Research instruments were metacognitive awareness inventory, mathematics understanding test and interview protocol. Research data were collected by using student’s answer sheets and interviews. The data were analyzed by descriptive method. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) NDM student performend her cognition knowledge in the problem solving stages, and it depends on her knowledge types (declarative, procedural, dan conditional knowledge); and (2) PSV student performend characteristics of cognition regulation and they depend on each stage in the problem solving.

Abstract

Land rehabilitation in Poboya Watershed should be done on the actual land erosion value in other to avoid intensive land degradation. This research has been conducted to determine and map erosion hazard level. The erosion hazard level was determinate by using USLE (Universal Soil Lost Equation) formula. The result of experiment showed that the low erosion hazard level in study area 371,2 Ha (5,5%), medium 3.483,4 ha (51,9%), high 11,8 ha (0,2%), and very high 2.848,8 ha (42,4%). In general, land with erosion hazard level of very high is located in middle watershed. The high value of erosion in Poboya Watershed area mainly due to the land cover factor and topography. Tolerable erosion in Poboya watershed 371,1 ha (5,51%) and intolerable 6.344 ha (94,4%). Land area Poboya Watershed 6.715,06 ha and total erosion 2.643.587,48 ton.yr-1 while tolerable erosion 73.259,97 ton.yr-1.

Abstract

This research was taken place around Tambing Lake, National Park Lore Lindu, Sigi Regency in Central Sulawesi Province. This area encompassed tourism destination and it couid be found a lot of Bryophyta that was adopted to be a learning resources.This research aimed to identifying identify diversity and to develop a learning media by using image cards from every spesies identified. This research employed method obstruction. Developing learning media was based on the 4-D development model by Thiagarajan. Sample was collected from 8 obstruction. the sample was stated by using free collection technique of is obstruction. The data were analyzed descriptively and identified by using the key of determination and image and books that had been patented: than the developing image were used cars as the developing instructional media. It was found 19 species of Bryophyte, dealing with 7 species of Hepaticopsida class and 12 species of Bryopsida class. Furthermore, in relation to the result of development of image cards. It was obtained the average percentage from the reviewer of media, content, and design, 94%, from the peer teacher assesment, 90%, from the small group student assesment, 87% and from the large group students assesment, 88%. The four average of the result were 90%. It could be converted into a good categori.

Abstract

The utilization of fish bone waste so far is processed as mixture of fodder and some into flour. It is less used for humans needs. The processed products food to be substituted of flour a bone of fish products are noodles. This research aims to determine the substitution level on fish bone flour and carrot flour that producing good quality in noodles and find out consumer acceptance toward the addition of fish bone flour and carrot flour have been substituted. The research was designed by employing complete random design with factorial pattern. The parameter of organoleptic quality test was on color, scent, taste, texture and fondness as a whole. The research result reveals that the addition of fish bone flour and carrot flour in treatment A1B2 provides quality value on color, scent and texture that can be accepted by panel.

Abstract

The experiment purpose to find out fatty acid profil in catfish oil were used soybean oil with different level and to detect soybean oil concentrate in dietary hight produce catfish oil contens omega-3 fatty acid EPA and DHA. This research uses experimental methods and experimental design used completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments , the percentage giving linolenic acid in the feed catfish at A = 0 % , B = 5 % , C = 10 % , D = 15 % , and E 20 % with each of the three replicates (15 experimental units) . Data were analyzed statistically is the content of EPA and DHA oils catfish at each treatment . Catfish oil extraction is done by wet rendering . How to wet rendering applied to fish that are high in fat and in large numbers . Further fatty acid content is determined based on the area that is formed using a Gas Chromatography . Soy bean oil as a source of linolenic acid in the diet had no effect on oil fatty acid profile catfish (Clarias sp) in terms of the aspect of the type of fatty acids , but in terms of aspects of the concentration of each type of soybean oil fatty acids influence . Changes in fatty acid levels to concentrations of soybean oil are generally not patterned , the pattern follows the curve of a parabola and hyperbole, at concentrations of 0%, 5% trend fatty acid concentration increased until optimal at concentrations of 10% and at a concentration of 15 % and 20 % trend of concentration fatty acids then declined. Soybean oil concentration in the feed oil producing catfish containing omega-3 fatty acids , EPA and DHA concentration is highest at 10 % . Generated at these concentrations of omega - 3 fatty acids 8.33%, 5.05% EPA and DHA of 1.14 % .

Abstract

The aim of research to analyze the actual profit, profit maximization, and the sensitivity of chilli and tomato farm in the village of Pombewe, District Sigi Biromaru, Sigi. The sampling technique conducted a census that as many as 17 people. Data collected by interview using interview guideline. Secondary data obtained from the village monograph, BPS and various journals. The results using the actual profit earned revenue analysis of chilli and tomato farming in aggregate on an area of 0.69 Ha reached Rp 43.331.876,47, and partially chili farm with an area of 0.33 Ha reached Rp 23.280.509,12 and tomato farming with an area of 0.36 Ha reached Rp 20.051.387,35. Analysis using linear program obtained maximization profit of Rp 129 599 700, - with chilli farming area of 1.03 Ha and 1.02 Ha of farming tomatoes. Sensitivity analysis of optimization that has been achieved is determined by the change in the willingness of each seed seeds chili> 16.20 sachet or tomato seeds> 29.72 sachet.
