Abstract

This study aims to explain and provide a description of the role of Islamic banking and marketing strategies in the halal food and beverage industry in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The research paradigm employed is interpretive and phenomenological in its approach. The data collected for this study is primarily through interviews and documentation. The analysis is conducted using noema, epoche, noesis, intentional analysis, and eidetic reduction. The research findings reveal that the confidence of the stakeholders can determine the necessary steps to be taken. The owners of Sasak Aren MSMEs do not yet desire to increase their capital through Sharia banks due to existing perspectives that do not align with their beliefs, despite the bank's adherence to Sharia principles. Moreover, these businesses are still classified as small. Thus, the role of Sharia banking in Sasak Aren MSMEs is currently limited to promotion. Despite their small scale, these MSMEs have complete certification, notably the halal certification, which is utilized as one of the marketing strategies for product development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of financial literacy, funding objectives, and financial advertising content on crowdfunding success, using 115 crowdfunding platforms registered with the Indonesian OJK as a sample. The study employs signaling theory, particularly in the context of equity crowdfunding platforms, where these platforms serve as signals of business quality for small investors, reducing information asymmetry and encouraging investments. The research methodology employed is descriptive quantitative, using logistic regression analysis to test the hypothesis. The study focuses on companies seeking funding through 10 crowdfunding platforms registered with the Indonesian OJK during the year 2023. Secondary data from published crowdfunding platform records are used, and the sample is determined using purposive sampling techniques. The conceptual framework suggests that financial literacy, funding objectives, and financial advertising content act as partial mediators for crowdfunding success, providing valuable information to both project owners and investors to aid in decision-making processes.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of YouTube adoption on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) performance in Buloba, Uganda, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SMEs play a crucial role in Uganda's economic landscape, contributing significantly to employment and GDP. Despite their importance, SMEs face challenges linked to operational deficiencies. The study, employing a descriptive quantitative survey method, reveals that SMEs in Buloba exhibit high overall performance (mean = 3.51), but their adoption of YouTube for marketing purposes is moderate (mean = 2.92). Significant positive correlations are identified between SME performance and specific aspects of YouTube adoption, emphasizing the strategic importance of maintaining an active online presence and engaging with customers. The regression analysis further highlights the substantial contribution of product marketing to SME performance (Beta = 0.255, p = 0.046). Other factors like skilled usage, platform following, customer engagement, and customer ordering do not show statistically significant effects in the model (R2 = 0.28; F=10.395; p < 0.001). The findings suggest opportunities for improvement in SMEs' YouTube adoption strategies, particularly in product marketing, to enhance overall performance and competitiveness. The study underscores the transformative potential of YouTube for SMEs, emphasizing the need for targeted initiatives to fortify their competitive standing and contribute to sustainable development goals.

It further involves mediating and moderating the effect of tax aggressiveness and dividend policy. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach was used to analyze 315 panel data. We found a negative effect of earnings management and audit quality on the cost of debt. Earnings management is found to have a positive effect on tax aggressiveness, while tax aggressiveness has a negative impact on the cost of debt. Tax aggressiveness mediates earnings management-cost of debt effect exhibiting a negative correlation. Lastly, dividend policy is able to strengthen the effect of earnings management on the cost of debt. This research is intended to provide managerial implications for the companies and creditors regarding the asymmetry of financial report information. Policy implications, particularly for fiscal regulators pertaining to tax aggressiveness and financial services authorities concerned with assessing the capability of prospective debtors.

Abstract

Abstract In the context of globalization and economic transformation, countries, including Indonesia, are striving to improve the performance of their public sector organizations. This article reviews the significant improvement in the efficiency and performance index of the Indonesian government according to the World Bank. However, some regional governments, such as Batam City, face difficulties in achieving the set performance targets. In-depth research is needed to identify the factors that influence such performance improvements. The Batam City government has sought to improve performance through strengthening internal control, innovation, and transformational leadership. However, the results have not reached their maximum potential. This article suggests further research on the relationship between Internal Control Systems (ICS), Innovation, Transformational Leaadership (TL) and Organizational Performance (OP) in the Indonesian public sector. The research also explores to what extent innovation can mediate the relationship between ICS and organizational performance, as well as how transformational leadership affects such mediation. City governments and other public sector organizations can use these findings as benchmarks and guidelines in an effort to advance their performance in the face of the demands of modernization and global competitiveness.

Abstract

The big dream together towards a Golden Indonesia in 2045 is a common dream as the Indonesian people, this big dream should be the target of the church's call and mission because the Church is part of the community in this country. Together with the World Council of Churches, we always encourage the Churches to carry out their mission to fulfill the Great Commission and play a role in the world. Of course, this is a serious matter to study. The formation of church members enables the congregation and society to become God's co-workers. The focus of this research is on the church institution, namely Gereja Protestan di Indonesia Bagian Barat (GPIB), which seeks to revive two church functions, namely the main function of the Church and the supporting function of the Church. The aim is that the mission role of the church can be optimally pursued for the church and its impact on society. How can this struggle be overcome by reviewing the study of Maotimoe's basic thoughts on the Development of Missionary Congregations, the GPIB documents so that they can become a solution to carrying out the GPIB mission. In writing this article the author used the library research method. The author read several supporting sources and several Church documents as the main source of this research. Then these findings will become recommendations for implementing the church's mission between Maitimoe's thoughts and Indonesia's hopes towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 so that the Church is not essentially for itself but for the world and the limitations of studies on theological concepts and Church Economic Development Keywords: Missionary Church Congregation, Empowering Church Member, Creative Economy

Based on these sampling techniques and criteria, 15 companies were obtained with an observation period of five years, so the total observation was 75 samples. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis methods and panel data regression models using Eviews 12 software. Partial test results show that price-to-book value (PBV) has a significant positive effect on stock prices. In contrast, Earnings Per Share (EPS), Disclosure of Sustainability reports, Economic Dimensions, Environmental Dimensions, and Social Dimensions do not have a significant effect on stock prices.
