Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the variables of distributive justice, transformational leadership, training & development, and perceived organisational support affect employee engagement. This research was conducted using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 500 respondents. The distribution of the questionnaires was carried out in two ways, namely, online via WhatsApp and manually, namely by visiting respondents. The sample of this research is employees who work in manufacturing companies in several industrial areas in Batam city. The industrial areas in question are the Batamindo industrial area, the Executive Batam Center industrial area, the Taiwan Kabil industrial area, and the Bintang industrial area in Tanjung Uncang. The technique used in this research is purposive sampling, which is a technique to determine the sample by using a special selection method to be used for processing properly. The results that have been collected from respondents, the data will be processed using SPSS software. This study indicates that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, training & development has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, distributive justice has no effect on employee engagement, and perceptions of organisational support have no effect on employee engagement

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze effective work from home on the leadership, competency, training, and technology to employee performance. The design used is hypothesis testing using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS). The population and respondents in this study was manufacturing employee. The results of the study show that the leadership has no significant effect on employee performance with significant = 0.360 and competency has significant affect to employee performance with significant value = 0,036 results on training has significant effect on employee performance with significant 0,005, and technology also has significant effect on employee performance with value of significant is 0,000. The results show that between leadership, competency, training, and technology as together influence employee performance with significant 0,000. Based on result for adjustedR square can be explain  at 51,7% is influenced by the four variables (Leadership, Competency, Training, and Technology) to employee performance, the other 48.3% is the contribution of other variables not included in this research. According results testing in this research training, facility and technology significant impact on employee performance. Next research model can be explain with mediating variabel to make sure and increase adjustedR square results for example variabel the role of organizational commitment in organizational structure, organizational strategy and management during Covid 19 new era.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the significant influence between transformational leadership on employee performance and employee engagement as a mediating variable for employees of Certain Functional Officers Immigration Analyst under the Provincial Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Kepulauan Riau. This research is a quantitative study using primary data. The population in the study amounted to 216 employees, with total sample of 163 employees who filled out a questionnaire measured by using Likert scale. To answer the research hypothesis formulation, the results of data collection were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method and assisted by SmartPLS 3.0 software. Based on the results of the analysis using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method, it was found that two components of transformational leadership, namely idealized influence and inspirational motivation, have a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, while the other two components intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration have no effect. And when the four components of transformational leadership (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration) are mediated by the employee engagement variable, there is a strengthening of the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance.

Abstract

The research aims to study the factor that affects an individual in choosing a major of study to career satisfaction mediated by a career path in Batam city. This research uses the variable of parental support, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation as the independent variable, career path as the mediation variable and career satisfaction as the dependent variable. The study uses the purposive sampling method. Two hundred fifty respondents in this research are residents of Batam. The data were processed using Partial Least Square (PLS) Software. The results of this study show that the process of choosing a major of study influence career satisfaction. Variables of parental support and intrinsic and extrinsic motivation significantly influence the career path. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation substantially affect the career satisfaction mediated by career path, except for the parental support variable. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation significantly influence career satisfaction, except for the parental support variable. Career path as the mediation variable significantly influences career satisfaction.
