Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in order to provide additional skills in making wedding souvenirs for delivery organizers. The aim of this activity is to increase knowledge, understanding and skills regarding the manufacture of delivery accessories for delivery management business groups in Semarang district. The results of observations that the author obtained in Semarang Regency are that there are many housewives who have great motivation to be able to have skills but do not yet understand what to do, so that they can be used as provisions to open and develop their business. Through training in making various decorative accessories and wedding souvenirs, they have the opportunity to open a business as an effort to improve their entrepreneurial skills in accepting orders for making wedding souvenirs to improve family welfare. In order to increase women's empowerment in entrepreneurship, it is necessary to provide training in making wedding accessories and souvenirs as well as skills in arranging gifts. This training activity uses interactive lecture methods, practice, question and answer and product evaluation. It is necessary to have knowledge about making accessories and souvenirs, as a business development effort. Therefore, making accessories and souvenirs is very necessary for everyone, not only to increase knowledge but also to increase motivation and increase self-confidence in opening a business.

Abstract

Tiara Kusuma is the Indonesian Association of Estheticians and Salon Entrepreneurs as well as a forum for Indonesian Estheticians and Salon Entrepreneurs. Its members are spread throughout Indonesia and have branches in each region. Tiara kusuma DPC Semarang city is a gathering place for beauticians. In routine events, activities not only gather but also share knowledge with each other. Work in the field of beauty is in great demand, especially as a makeup artist. Personal branding is a knowledge that a makeup artist needs to know to form his own product image. One of the media for effective personal branding is social media. Social media can further develop our products to be better known and attractive in the wider community. So that it can increase the selling value of the business. AKS Ibu Kartini Semarang provides knowledge about personal branding. A community service was held for Efforts to Improve Personal Branding for Tiara Kusuma DPC Members of Semarang City. The knowledge provided by members is personal branding through social media. The purpose of this service is that Tiara Kusuma members can make their product image better so that they can attract and increase their selling value and income. There are several stages in the implementation of the activity, including the preparation stage, the implementation stage, the question and answer and the closing. The activity was carried out in the form of lectures, presentations and questions and answers which were attended by 30 members of Tiara Kusuma DPC Semarang City. The material presented was in the form of personal branding through social media. The activity went smoothly, the participants increased their knowledge related to personal branding.

Abstract

Training on techniques for assembling lingerie clothing gifts is one of the training in assembling gifts given to young entrepreneurs at community service activities at SKB Ungaran. This training aims to provide skills to young entrepreneurs who are starting a business in the field of delivery manufacturing. The skills provided include training in basic techniques for folding gifts, assembling lingerie gifts, creating gift accessories. The training method used is the Service Learning method, where the trainer will provide examples in each training, which will then be followed by the training participants. Indicators of the success of training in techniques for assembling lingerie delivery for young entrepreneurs can be seen from four aspects, namely 1) Accuracy in implementing the training; 2) Percentage of attendance of training participants; 3) The enthusiasm of the training participants; and 4) Training results. From these four indicators of success, it is known that the training was carried out according to the specified time, The attendance of training participants reached 90% which can be concluded that the participants were enthusiastic during the training. This training activity also produced a product in the form of a set of lingerie and accessories. The results of interviews with training participants also show that this training can broaden participants' insight and skills in the field of delivery

Abstract

Salon entrepreneurship can be a promising profession if supported by good personal branding. A salon entrepreneur must have a characteristic that differentiates them from others in terms of appearance, communication style or expertise. Personal branding can support career reputation if the application is good, if personal branding is applied poorly it will form a bad image in the community. Therefore, the purpose of carrying out community service activities at Tiara Kusuma DPC Members in Semarang City is to provide understanding to the participants so that they can apply personal branding to themselves so that they have a better self-image and can support the sustainability of the salon business they are working on. This service activity begins by analyzing the needs of the participants and then compiling the material presented according to the results of the analysis. Furthermore, the implementation of activities is to deliver some material related to the understanding of personal branding, the purpose of personal branding and how to create personal branding to improve career reputation as a salon entrepreneur. After the material is delivered, it is continued with a joint discussion and evaluation through questions and answers related to the material presented. The enthusiasm of the training participants can be seen from the many questions asked related to the problems and obstacles experienced so that they can become material for discussion.

Abstract

Services in the field of beauty, especially massage and scrub treatments, demand high standards of cleanliness, neatness, and comfort as part of the principle of service excellence. In order to improve the quality of service and professionalism of beauty practitioners, this training activity was held with a focus on the preparation and packaging of the work area. The main purpose of the training is to provide knowledge and skills to participants in arranging the workspace in a clean, neat, and according to industry standards, so as to be able to create a comfortable atmosphere and support customer satisfaction. The training methods used include direct delivery of material by the instructor as well as interactive question and answer sessions to deepen participants' understanding. The training materials include the basic principles of work area cleanliness, the arrangement of tools and materials, the packaging of the treatment room before and after service, and professional ethics in welcoming and serving customers. Participants are trained to pay attention to the visual and functional details of the work area, including lighting, scent, and the physical comfort of customers. The results of the training showed that participants had an increased understanding of the importance of packaging work areas as an integral part of service quality. In addition, participants showed enthusiasm in applying the principles they had learned into their daily work practices. This activity is considered a strategic step in empowering the workforce in the beauty sector, encouraging increased competitiveness and professionalism amid the increasingly competitive demands of the body care services industry. With this training, it is hoped that more consistent and quality service standards will be created, as well as a work culture that prioritizes customer comfort and professional integrity. Similar training needs to be developed on an ongoing basis to strengthen the capacity of beauty practitioners in the face of industry dynamics and evolving consumer expectations.

Abstract

Indonesian Nusantara Fabric is a cultural heritage that has high aesthetic and philosophical value, reflecting the local wealth of various regions. Among the variety of traditional fabrics such as batik, songket, lurik, and ulos, ecoprint fabrics are present as innovations that combine traditional values with sustainability principles. Ecoprints are made using natural materials that are environmentally friendly, making them an alternative to textiles that support nature conservation. One of the techniques used in making ecoprint fabrics is the Iron Blanket technique, which is a coloring method by utilizing a metal reaction to tannins from leaves and flowers. This ecoprint fabric making training is intended for Vocational High School (SMK) students as an educational and cultural preservation effort. The training is carried out through three main stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The preparation stage includes the introduction of the concept of archipelago fabric and the principle of ecoprint, while the implementation stage focuses on the direct practice of Iron Blanket techniques. The evaluation stage is carried out to assess students' understanding and skills in producing quality ecoprint fabric works. The purpose of this training is to instill the values of cultural preservation in the younger generation and equip them with creative skills that can be developed independently and in the context of entrepreneurship. The results of the training show that students are able to create ecoprint fabrics with the Iron Blanket technique, understand the sustainable production process, and show enthusiasm in developing local potential. Thus, this training not only contributes to the preservation of the archipelago's fabrics, but also opens up opportunities for the development of cultural-based creative industries among vocational school students.

Abstract

The training program on implementing a clean and safe work environment, based on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) principles, is a crucial initiative aimed at enhancing service quality in the massage and body scrub industry. Conducted in collaboration with Mardi Utomo Social Service Institution, this training is part of a community service program designed to educate participants on creating a hygienic and OSH-compliant workplace. The primary objective of this program is to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in maintaining a safe, clean, and health-conscious work environment. Adhering to OSH principles plays a vital role in mitigating workplace hazards, improving service quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction. By fostering a hygienic and secure setting, this training aims to reduce work-related risks and enhance the overall comfort and safety of clients. The training methodology involved a combination of interactive lectures, group discussions, Q&A sessions, and periodic evaluations, which contributed to a deeper understanding of the significance of OSH among the participants. The outcomes of the training demonstrated an increase in participants' awareness of OSH's importance, as well as positive changes in their behaviors towards cleanliness and safety practices. These behavioral adjustments are expected to establish a more professional and responsible work culture, ultimately increasing customer confidence in the services provided. With the implementation of these OSH standards, the massage and body scrub industry can continue to thrive, ensuring long-term sustainability. By fostering a work environment that adheres to health and safety guidelines, businesses in this sector can improve service quality, attract more clients, and ensure the well-being of both employees and customers.

Abstract

This community service is a form of collaboration between the PGOT Mardi Utomo Social Service Center and AKS  Ibu Kartini Semarang. Implementation of Vocational or skills guidance program activities as an effort to empower the potential of human resources in the Mardi Utomo social service center (PPS) beggars homeless and displaced people (PGOT) in order to build social functioning of community life for beneficiaries towards independence in the field of Body Care. The purpose of this activity is to provide recipients with knowledge and skills in body care massage or body massage and body scrub as an empowerment effort for beneficiaries to provide knowledge of the ability to massage the body and body scrub so that it becomes an income opportunity by opening a massage and body scrub service business. The learning and mentoring process for beneficiaries was carried out for 5 months using the lecture method, direct demonstration as well as alternating practice. 10 beneficiary participants participated in the training from the delivery of material, demonstrations to practicing body care massage / traditional massage and scrubs. The results of community service activities run smoothly according to the activity schedule and achieve the objectives of this activity to create beneficiaries who have skills. Abstract

Varisko micro business as an empowerment effort and economic solution for the community of Cumedak Village, Jember. Cumedak Village faces significant economic challenges, marked by an unemployment rate of 12% and poverty rate of 18%, as well as the majority of the population's dependence on the agricultural sector with unstable incomes. This study aims to analyze and develop the formation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through participatory field observations, in-depth interviews with residents and MSME actors, as well as documentation of activities. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the assistance showed a significant increase in the technical capabilities of production, product quality, and operational efficiency of Varisko MSMEs. Training in business management and digital marketing strategies succeeded in increasing sales by 35% during the assistance period. In addition, this program had a positive social impact by increasing the participation, confidence, and motivation of MSME members, as well as strengthening social networks and solidarity among residents. Despite challenges such as the incompatibility of the proponents' fields of study, community controversy regarding involvement and sustainability, as well as low initial interest and lack of community understanding, solutions in the form of persuasive education,  practical technical training, flexible scheduling, and assistance with access to capital and legality were successfully implemented. In conclusion, the establishment of Varisko SMEs has proven effective as a means of empowerment and a sustainable economic solution for the community of Cumedak Village, not only increasing income but also strengthening social aspects and self-reliance.
