Abstract

Kubu Raya Regency, especially the Sui Rengas area, is an area where the level of education is still very limited compared to other districts in West Kalimantan. Including the Kesehatan Harapan Kita Sejahtera Vocational School, where the number of students is still small. In addition to the number of students being still very small, the number of teaching staff is also small. It takes a lot of teaching staff to teach students at this vocational school. In terms of financing, Kesehatan Harapan Kita Sejahtera Vocational School is financed by School Operational Assistance funds. The purpose of this Community Service is to introduce the World of Informatics and Accounting to the students of Kesehatan Harapan Kita Sejahtera Vocational School.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the role of housewives who are members of Dasa Wisma groups in family entrepreneurship through the development of home-based businesses The program partners were the Teratai 2 Dasa Wisma women group located in Taman Puri Sartika Housing Complex, RT 05 RW 12, Semarang City, consisting of 17 participants. The main problems faced by the partners included limited entrepreneurial knowledge, low utilization of home-based business potential, and suboptimal management of family businesses. The implementation methods included counseling, training, discussions, and simple mentoring related to family entrepreneurship concepts, identification of business opportunities, and management of home-based businesses. The results of the program showed an improvement in participants’ understanding of family entrepreneurship, increased entrepreneurial motivation, and the emergence of various home-based business ideas with the potential to be independently developed. This community service program is expected to serve as an initial step in encouraging family economic independence through the active role of housewives.

Abstract

The success of therapy and spa services is greatly influenced by the therapist's ability to manage and control their emotions while providing services. Emotions that are not managed properly can lead to a decline in service quality, client complaints, and psychological fatigue for therapists. This community service activity was carried out by lecturers from the Ibu Kartini Social Welfare Academy in Semarang at PGOT Mardi Utomo Semarang. The community service activity took the form of training in managing and controlling emotions for professional therapists. The implementation methods included material delivery, interactive discussions, simulations, and practical exercises in emotion control techniques tailored to the participants' needs. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the types of emotions, triggering factors, and the ability to apply emotional control techniques before, during, and after serving clients. This activity made a positive contribution to improving the professionalism of therapists and the quality of service.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to strengthen the professionalism of mobile massage and reflexology services through service standardization training based on ethics and consumer comfort. The activity was conducted at the PGOT Mardi Utomo Social Service Institution in Semarang as part of a social rehabilitation program to enhance the skills and work readiness of the beneficiaries. The implementation methods included lectures, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations focusing on service standards, professional ethics, service communication, as well as consumer safety and comfort aspects. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of the importance of service quality that is not only oriented toward technical skills but also toward professional attitudes and ethical conduct in service delivery. Participants were able to identify fundamental principles of professional service and apply them in simulated practice. This activity contributes to shaping participants’ professional attitudes as service providers and supports empowerment and socio-economic independence of the beneficiaries.

Abstract

The downstreaming of research outputs was implemented through the use of an Android-based application integrating textile knowledge as a mentoring medium for student exhibitions at SMK Yasemi. This community service program aimed to improve students’ understanding and practical skills in applying textile knowledge to the development of high-quality and sustainable fashion products. A learning-by-doing approach was adopted, encompassing practical simulations, hands-on mentoring, and performance evaluation. The Android application supported textile material selection, alignment between materials and design concepts, and the reinforcement of sustainability principles. The findings demonstrate improvements in students’ textile knowledge, material processing skills, and the overall quality of fashion products presented in the exhibition. These results indicate that the Android-based application, as a form of research downstreaming, is effective in supporting textile knowledge–based exhibition mentoring within vocational education.

Abstract

Malang City faces a serious problem related to the high rate of domestic violence (KDRT), which is a major concern for the Malang City Government through the DP3AP2KB in protecting and handling victims. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to identify factors influencing the increase in domestic violence cases. Data were collected through field observations as primary data and literature and archives as secondary data. The analysis results indicate that economic factors, especially poverty, are the main drivers of domestic violence because they trigger conflict in the household. In addition, low public understanding and awareness of domestic violence and women's rights exacerbate the situation, where the lack of information makes victims unaware of their rights and access to assistance. This study aims to provide more effective policy recommendations in the prevention and handling of domestic violence, thereby strengthening protection for victims and creating a safer environment in Malang City.

Abstract

The development of digital technology forces educational institutions to implement informatics learning that focuses not only on the use of tools, but also on improving computational thinking and problem-solving skills. However, informatics learning in junior high schools still faces problems, such as limitations in interactive learning materials and low student enthusiasm for programming lessons. This community service activity aims to implement coding learning using Scratch as part of an innovative effort in teaching informatics at Al Islam Junior High School. The method used is mentoring and practice-based training with a project-based learning approach. The participants were eighth-grade students from Al Islam Junior High School who were actively involved in creating animations and simple games using Scratch. The results of the activity showed that students' understanding of basic programming concepts, such as logic, command sequences, repetition, and branching, had increased. In addition, students' interest and participation in learning informatics also increased. This activity has a positive impact on the quality of informatics learning and can be an example of digital learning innovation at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Skills training organized by the orphanage as an implementation of empowering beneficiaries to express their talents and abilities, gaining knowledge and skills that have been implemented, specifically in the field of body care. Among the existing skills, training in body care, including body massage and body scrubs, was conducted by the Ibu Kartini AKS team. Of the existing skills, training in body care, including body massage and body scrubs, was conducted by the Ibu Kartini AKS team in Semarang for five months last year (2024). Eight sessions were held from November to December 2025, with 10 beneficiaries participating. Community service through Continuous Body Care Training Mentoring for beneficiaries at the Mardi Utomo PGOT Social Home is expected to provide ongoing support in body massage techniques and additional knowledge and skills in the field of body care and spa, particularly foot reflexology. The purpose of this mentoring is to improve the understanding and skills of PGOT beneficiaries. Overall, the mentoring demonstrated that beneficiaries were able to focus on performing body massage according to procedures and focused on learning both soft skills and reflexology foot massage. The average increase in understanding and skills in body care at the end of the activity was significant. Beneficiaries experienced a 70% increase in their performance, as seen in the pre- and post-tests. This was evident in the three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The pre- and post-test results showed an increase in knowledge and skills in body care, including body massage and foot reflexology, across all advanced body care themes.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the quality of religious facilities at SD Negeri 03 Batung by designing an ergonomic ablution area. The existing facilities were inadequate, hindering students' comfort and efficiency in performing ablution. The methods used included field surveys, anthropometric measurements, and infrastructure development focused on ergonomic principles. The measurements showed that the optimal height for installing faucets is 79.25 cm, with a distance between faucets of 80 cm and a distance from the faucet to the body of 39.83 cm. After implementing the new design, 85% of students reported feeling more comfortable during ablution, and queue times were reduced by 50%. In addition to improving comfort and efficiency, the facility is also safer, equipped with good drainage and textured flooring to prevent slipping. This initiative is expected to serve as a model for other schools in developing ergonomic and sustainable worship facilities, to improve the quality of students' worship experiences.

Abstract

Goat farming in Indonesia, especially at the small and medium farmer level, is still largely carried out traditionally. Recording of livestock data related to pedigree, birth, weight and others, has not been done well by some farmers. Good livestock management is important because it has a direct impact on productivity, livestock health, cessation of livestock businesses and the welfare of farmers. Based on these problems, in this community service activity, training was carried out on the use of livestock recording applications (eLivestock) with the application of QRCode technology. There are three main activities carried out in this community service activity, including: preparation, implementation, evaluation and reporting. The community service activity was carried out on Monday, June 16, 2025, starting at 13:30 until finished, located at Panji Boma Farm, Werasari Village, Sadananya District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. After carrying out this community service activity, the partners were interested in using the application, and planned to make several preparations related to: information flow, data availability, report formats, software & hardware support and management officers.
