The design of the study used cross-sectional analysis. The population was all students at Islamic Elementary School Yaabunayya with a total of 146 children. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the inclusion criteria of children in grades two to six who were willing to be researched with the consent of their parents.  Samples that meet the inclusion criteria were 85 respondents. The instruments used were the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) and Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS). Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test. The results of the analysis found that there was a correlation between the duration of using gadgets and the social development of children with a ρ value (0.013). Children who don’t play with gadgets tend to look for playmates who can improve social development. The results of the study there is no correlation between the duration of gadget use and learning motivation in children with a ρ value (0.095). This is because children use gadgets to get lots of interesting lessons on the internet. For this reason, parents are expected to always accompany their children in using gadgets.

Abstract

Hormonal contraceptives contain estrogen and progesterone. Prolonged use causes a higher dose of the estrogen and progesterone hormones that can cause leucorrhoea or vaginal discharge. Analyzing and reviewing articles related to the relation between the use of hormonal contraceptive methods with the leucorrhoea occurrence. The literature review method used a systematic mapping study design. Literature sources were obtained from the Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Proquest databases with 6 years of publication. The literature collection strategy using PEOS was then selected to produce 10 articles that matched the research criteria. Of 10 articles that examined the type of hormonal family planning (KB) that were mostly used were 3 articles with injectable KB, 2 articles on pill KB, 2 articles on KB implants, and 3 articles that did not mention the type. There were 3 articles describe that both <1 year and >1 year duration of the usage can cause vaginal discharge. There were 7 articles with analytical tests, 4 articles (57%) stated that there was a relation between the use of hormonal contraceptive methods and the occurrence of vaginal discharge, while 3 articles (43%) stated that there was no relation between the use of hormonal contraceptive methods and the occurrence of vaginal discharge. There were 3 articles that did a descriptive analysis, it was found that contraceptive users who experienced vaginal discharge were more than 35%. The use of hormonal contraception can cause physiological vaginal discharge since the hormones progesterone and estrogen change the flora and pH of the vagina, besides that vaginal discharge occurs because personal hygiene is not correct

Abstract

Anxiety about dealing with the infectious nature of COVID-19 could influence the elderly to avoid visiting health facilities due to concerns about the rapid transmission of the disease. The impact of decreasing interest in visiting the elderly with comorbidities to health facilities causes repeated recurrences, and they do not get treatment to improve their health. This research aimed to determine the correlation between anxiety and interest in visiting health facilities for the elderly with comorbid diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic. The variables in this research were anxiety and interest in visiting health facilities. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The design of this research was a correlation with a cross-sectional approach, a sample of 32 respondents, and a purposive sampling technique. The result showed that most of the respondents (53.1%), 17 respondents, experienced moderate anxiety. Most of the respondents (62.5%), 20 respondents, had sufficient interest in visiting. Based on the Spearman's rank test, a p-value of 0.032 (α = 0,05) was obtained, meaning that there was a correlation between anxiety in comorbid elderly people and interest in visiting health facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic with a weak correlation category (r = 0.380). The elderly's anxiety about visiting health facilities during the pandemic could be because the elderly are getting tired of the comorbid disease process they experience; the elderly also feel vulnerable to infection due to information related to COVID-19 transmission; the elderly were afraid to die when confirmed with COVID-19; the elderly worried about the health of their families and the elderly as well. Worried that they have contracted the COVID-19 virus. It recommended for respondents not be afraid or anxious about coming to health facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The elderly could visit health facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic safely by always complying with health protocols
