Diterbitkan pertama kali pada bulan November 2020 oleh BBPPMPV Seni dan Budaya yang merupakan unit pelaksana teknis Direktorat Jenderal Vokasi Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia. BBPPMPV Seni dan Budaya bertugas meningkatkan kompetensi guru pendidikan vokasi dan melaksanakan penjaminan mutu pendidikan vokasi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan 2 (dua) kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan Mei dan November. Memuat artikel-artikel baik yang berbasis penelitian maupun kajian non-penelitian serta gagasan-gagasan konseptual dalam bidang pendidikan seni dan industri kreatif. Pengiriman artikel terbuka sepanjang tahun. Sebelum mengirimkan artikel, harap pastikan artikel tersebut sesuai dengan fokus dan gaya Sendikraf. Abstract

The current generation needs learning media that suits its characteristics and currentdevelopments. This affects each individual's skills mastery. The development of educationalmedia for leadership skills needs to be pursued as a solution to prepare a generation that is readyto face global change. This development can be linked to the inclusion of cultural elements. Theapplication of local wisdom, such as batik, can be one of the bases for creating this innovation.The aim of this research is to find out how Batik Jombangan with Ringin Contong (motif) can bea medium for educating leadership skills based on local wisdom. The research method uses aqualitative approach, where the findings will be presented analytical, depth, and in detail.Observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study are the techniques used in the datacollection process. Another approach uses the aesthetic theory of Luca Iandoli and GieuseppeZollo (2022) as a study to examine the outermost (visualization) and innermost(meaning/philosophy) parts of batik motifs. The research concludes that batik can be aneducational learning medium and can be a teaching tool to improve and strengthen leadershipskills for individuals, especially for teenagers and children. Two elements, namely education andculture, can be collaborated together, thereby creating new innovations in learning schemes/concepts. Thus, the values of locality can be maintained as education continues toimprove. Generasi saat ini membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristiknya danperkembangan zaman. Hal ini berpengaruh pada penguasaan keterampilan masing-masingindividu. Pengembangan media edukasi leadership skills perlu diupayakan sebagai solusi untukmenyiapkan generasi yang siap menghadapi perubahan global. Pengembangan tersebut dapatdikaitkan dengan memasukkan unsur kebudayaan. Penerapan kearifan lokal, seperti batik, dapatmenjadi salah satu basis dalam menciptakan inovasi tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalahuntuk mengetahui bagaimana Batik Jombangan motif Ringin Contong dapat menjadi mediaedukasi keterampilan kepemimpinan berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode penelitian menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif, di mana temuan akan disajikan secara terperinci, mendalam, dan detail.Observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka adalah teknik yang digunakan dalamproses pengumpulan data. Pendekatan lainnya menggunakan teori estetika dari Luca Iandoli danGieuseppe Zollo (2022) sebagai studi dalam mengkaji bagian terluar (visualisasi) dan terdalam(makna/filosofi) pada motif batik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa batik dapat menjadi salahsatu media pembelajaran edukatif dan dapat menjadi sarana dalam pengajaran untukmeningkatkan serta menguatkan keterampilan memimpin bagi individu, khususnya untuk remajadan anak-anak. Dua unsur, yakni pendidikan dan kebudayaan, dapat dikolaborasikan bersama,sehingga tercipta inovasi baru dalam skema/konsep pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, nilailokalitas dapat tetap terjaga seiring dengan berjalannya peningkatan pendidikan.

Abstract

The research aims to test Calamondin as a natural fixation material in coloring batik using indigosol dyestuff. The tested colors are the oft-used ones, namely Indigosol Yellow IGK, Indigosol Orange HR and Indigosol Blue O₄B. Fixation using HCl commonly used in batik coloring is applied in comparison to these tested colors. The testing comprises color fastness against washing, color fastness against rubbing, and color fastness against sunlight. The assessment standards are grey scale and staining scale. The test result in the laboratory of the Islamic University of Indonesia demonstrates that the values/grades of color fastness against washing, rubbing, and sunlight for most colors are the same as the results of fixation using HC1, and in fact the results of fixation using calamondin for particular colors in particular parameter of color fastness are much better than using HCl. In addition, the values meet the standards of INS (Indonesian National Standard) on batik color fastness. Therefore, calamondin can be used as batik coloring fixation material with indigosol dyestuff which is more environmentally-friendly

Abstract

Multicultural nationalism is a paradigm or perspective that may affect the aspects of cognitive, affective, and conative behaviour to build and shape students’ characters through the framework of music education. Along with raising aesthetic awareness, the aim of multicultural nationalism in music education is also leading the Indonesian students to be more tolerant and respectful of other cultures in cultural diversity. The Indonesian nation, comprising various cultures, should be able to learn the thoughts on cultural diversity and construct scientific concepts fruitful for the creation of a national education system, particularly the scheme of music education in Indonesia. Conceptual study on this issue concludes that multicultural nationalism in music education is an integrated perspective of cultural diversity to achieve altogether goals in music education.

Abstract

Industrial era 4.0. implies major changes in all aspects of life, especially in the field of education. Although web-based learning has been a major issue since the early of 21st century, digital skills are still emerging as a constraint. The global pandemic has abruptly pushed online training as an answer to sustainability within education. This study explores the readiness of teachers in online training in the new adaptation era. The research subjects were 187 art and culture teachers of junior, senior, and vocational high schools attended online training conducted by BBPPMPV Seni dan Budaya. The result of the study demonstrates significant achievement of teachers’ scores in the test. However, some conditions were recognized as teachers’ limitation during the online training, namely the access to the internet, the availability of tools and materials of skills practice, and their mastery of Google Classroom as learning management system. Teachers’ self-motivated action to join the online training and the increase of their post-test scores reveal their readiness for attending the online training. On the other hand, online training is not just an issue to learn something by the means of internet, but it is also critical to reflect on how to bring classroom experiences into the online platform by utilizing LMS features which support learning process itself

Abstract

Student’s character is much exposed due to the brawl they do and the quality of their improper behavior they show. Relating to this issue, this article is intended to describe of (1) ways disciplining the practice of thinking skill and verbal skill to improve self quality, and (2) steps of disciplining the practice of thinking skill and verbal skill to make student’s behavior and communication consistent and well-guided in order to create a great school habit and culture. By habituating to practice a logical and creative thinking skill, students will have solutions to every problem they encounter. Also, by habituating to speak positive and fruitful words, their verbal skills will be well-trained. The steps of disciplining the practice of thinking skill and verbal skill are done through disciplining oneself by developing the talent the students have, while disciplining others is done by developing giving skill and serving skill. By having the students practice their thinking skill, verbal skill wholeheartedly and continuously, as well as having a reflection time periodically, either at school, at home, or in the community, their self quality will improve gradually. Abstract

The cultural tourism sector has a very important role in the income of a country and for areas that have tourism potential. Tourism is also earmarked for job creation for local communities. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, tourists visiting places of attractions in Yogyakarta show a drastic decline in numbers. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of Javanese culture to promote tourism and to determine a tourism marketing strategy model that may present the excellence and uniqueness of Javanese culture in Yogyakarta. The collection of data and information was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 480 tourists who came to Yogyakarta. Descriptive analysis was done using SPSS 22.0 and SWOT analysis. The results of the sudy demonstrate that Javanese culture values can be used as a medium for promoting tourism in Yogyakarta. However, some improvements or strategies are still needed to increase tourist attractiveness. It is expected that the results of the study may assist the Yogyakarta government and tourism business stakeholders to increase the tourism potential of Javanese culture values and establishing strategies in developing tourism potential to attract tourists visiting Yogyakarta as well

Abstract

Authentic assessment is currently an issue in learning. The purpose of authentic assessment is to get a portrait of the factual competence of students. Therefore, authentic assessment is very important. Some research results indicate that many teachers reluctantly employ authentic assessments. The most often mentioned argument is due to the burdensome responsibilities of the teachers and the limited time they have. The current study attempts to affirm what authentic assessment is and how it is employed in the assessment of students’ learning in arts and culture as a subject at schools. Along with the complicated goals of arts and culture learning, authentic assessment offers a challenging issue for teachers since the subject itself aims at improving students’ attitudes. This attitude enhancement is done by providing an aesthetic experience to students. Aesthetic experience helps the achievement of the goal manifested in arts and culture practices. Therefore, teachers need to look at two features specifically constructing assessment in arts and culture learning, namely asthetic experience and arts and culture practices. The study results in the conception of an approach to authentic assessment of arts and culture learning.

Abstract

The current research was carried out based on organizational justice studies aiming at portraying the process of organizational justice occurring in an organization. Organizational justice is a tool to measure the employees’ sense of justice in the organization in which they work. Organizational justice in this research comprises distributive justice and procedural justice. The creation of ideal organizational justice will naturally bring about better behavioural condition of the employees manifested in increasing the willingness to do things that bring advantages to others, known as altruism. Altruism is one of the basic dimensions of Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB), which represents the behavior of a person who always promotes the vision and mission of his organization. The subjects of the research were 45 arts and culture master trainers. Questionnaires with Likert 4 interval scale were distributed directly to the research subjects. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program with simple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis demonstrate that distributive justice and procedural justice are significant towards altruism.

Abstract

Slavoj Žižek describes concept of the subject based on Lacan’s psychoanalysis concept. Concept of the subject is divided into three, namely The Real, The Imaginary, and The Symbolic. The three subject concepts are the stages experienced by human beings in their existence. The current study attempts to analyze descriptively the character of Koyal in Arifin C. Noer's “Mega,Mega” employing the concept of Slavoj Žižek's subject. The purpose of analysis is to disclose the existence of Koyal as a paradoxical subject other than the dimensional side. The analysis brings about the conclusions that Koyal is present as a character with high level imagination. He is often considered abnormal by people around him like Hamung, Panut, Retno and Tukijan. Koyal apparently has experienced positions as the Real subject, The Imaginary, and The Symbolic along the plot of the play. However, Koyal has finally failed to reach the Real eventhough he has been reminded through the presence of another subject as The Imaginary. Subsequently, Koyal’s efforts to reach the Symbolic by setting up his existence in a certain position in the middle of the community has also failed.

Abstract

Eb is an oral tradition of singing that lives and develops in Yaghai tribe of Papua. Eb tells the story of human life in their relationship with other human beings, nature, and God. Eb tradition has been practiced and preserved up to now. The current study attempts to record, study, and analyse the form and structure of Eb and the relationship with its meaning. Sources of data are field observation notes, interviews, audio and video recordings, and photos, collected from participatory observation and interviews. The result of the study demonstrates that the chant forms of ordinary Eb and Oghob are without time signature, while the Qaqau Eb has a definite beat. Ordinary Eb is associated with universal joy, Qaqau Eb is associated with happy expression, while Oghob is associated with sorrow or sadness. The form and structure of Eb chant, such as the flow of melody, tempo, harmony, are closely related naturally to the meaning of the chant itself.
