Abstract

Anxious during pregnancy not only impacts pregnant women's health, but it may also interfere with the delivery process, resulting in early labor, extended labor, cesarean delivery, and low birth weight. According to WHO estimates, psychiatric illnesses affect around 10% of pregnant women and 13% of postpartum women globally. This frequency is greater in underdeveloped nations among pregnant women (15.6%) and postpartum women (19.8%). The goal of this study is to determine the effect of prenatal yoga exercise on the anxiety of pregnant women at TPMB Mamah Suhaeriah in 2022. Method for doing research This sort of study employs the Pre-Experimental technique, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Total sampling was used, and there were 20 responders in total. An observation sheet was employed as the study instrument. The Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test was performed to analyze the data. The Wilcoxon Sign Rank test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is less than the threshold of 0.05. This indicates that Ha is accepted. Conclusion: Prenatal yoga practice has an influence on pregnant women's anxiety levels at TPMB Mamah Suhaeriah in 2022. Pregnant women are advised to manage their psychological condition effectively and to exercise often, since exercise has good benefits for survival during pregnancy

Abstract

Obesity has become a global pandemic throughout the world and is declared the largest chronic health problem, making it a major public health problem, including for school-aged children. The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between consumption fast food and the incidence of obesity in elementary school students. Design approach cross-sectional with a student population in one of the elementary schools in Manado City. The number of respondents was 162 people with the criteria being aged 6 years and over and having consent from their parents, taken using techniques quota sampling. Fast food consumption data was collected using a paper-based questionnaire, while the incidence of obesity was measured by BMI. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with significance values p ≤ 0.005. The research results showed a significant relationship between consumption frequency fast food with the incidence of obesity in students (p < 0.001). It is recommended for schools to provide school canteens that comply with health standards and for parents to prepare a healthy breakfast for children.

Abstract

Candle bush (Cassia alata L.) are plants that are rich in antioxidants. There have been many studies that discuss the efficacy of Candle bush (Cassia alata L.) in skin diseases, but there is still less research that discusses the potential of Candle bush leaves as antidiabetics. Therefore, researchers want to test the effectiveness of Candle bush leaves (Cassia alata L.) in improving blood glucose levels (antidiabetic) using experimental animals (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar) induced with Streptozotosin (STZ). Candle bush leaf extract (Cassia alata L.) was made with maceration method using ethanol 70% solution. Experimental animals were divided into 6 groups. Group 1,2, and 3 are the control group, Group 4,5, and 6 are the groups that are given the extract with different doses each. This study proves that extract of Candle bush leaf (Cassia alata L.) can improve blood glucose levels of the experimental animals (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar).

Abstract

Background: Chronic Kidney Failure problems during hemodialysis may include depression. Depression refers to the mental, thought, feeling, and behavioral problems of patients. The causes of depression include genetics, physical disease, lifestyle, and drugs. One of the therapies to relieve depression is music therapy. This research determines the influence of music therapy to relieve the depression levels of chronic kidney failure patients with hemodialysis. The applied method was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design and one group pretest-posttest. The samples consisted of 45 respondents taken by accidental sampling. The applied instruments were BDI and the music therapy SOP. All instruments were examined in terms of validity, reliability, and expert judgment. The statistic test applied a non-parametric Wilcoxon test. The results showed the influence of classical music therapy and the relieved depression levels of chronic kidney failure patients with hemodialysis. The obtained p-value is 0.000, lower than 0.05. The researcher concluded the implementation of classical music was effective to relieve the depression symptoms of chronic kidney failure patients with hemodialysis. The researcher suggests developing a combined classical music therapy to relieve depression in chronic kidney failure patients. The researcher suggests the implementation of intervention and control groups to compare the significance of the results.

Abstract

According to WHO, more than 75% of women experience menstrual disorders and on average occur at the age of 17-29 years. One of the factors that influence the occurrence of irregular menstrual cycles is poor sleep quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and menstrual cycle in undergraduate nursing students at Harapan Bangsa University. This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were 316 undergraduate nursing students and a sample of 174 students with Proportional random sampling method. Instruments used Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and menstrual cycle questionnaire. Data analysis used bivariate analysis for frequency distribution and univariate data analysis with chi square to determine the relationship. The results of this study obtained the frequency distribution of sleep quality obtained the highest results (79.3%) in the bad category and the menstrual cycle obtained results (67.8%) in the normal menstrual cycle category, with a p value = 0.151 (p> 0.05). The conclusion is that there is no significant relationship between sleep quality and menstrual cycle in Nursing Study Program Undergraduate Students at Harapan Bangsa University

Abstract

Background. Everyone should place a high premium on physical fitness because a fit body allows one to perform everyday chores and responsibilities at their best. Body mass index, which measures dietary status, is one element that affects physical fitness. (BMI). This study intends to assess the physical health and BMI of students at the Adventist University of Indonesia's Faculty of Nursing. With Spearman's rho test, this study technique is quantitative. There were 70 participants who voluntarily and consciously gave their consent. The Zuchora Physical Fitness Test, height measuring equipment, and weight scales were the research tools employed. Results: A significant negative connection between BMI and physical fitness, speed, and arm strength was found using the Spearman Rho test (p.05). Jumping ability, flexibility, endurance, and muscle strength did not have a significant association with BMI (p > 0.05), however. The findings of this study suggest that BMI has an impact on physical fitness in terms of arm speed and strength. The speed and arm strength decrease as BMI increases.

Abstract

Sleep is a top priority for babies, so that the body can produce growth hormone and also the brain will grow 3 times from birth. In addition, sleep also provides benefits for the mental, emotional, physical health and immune system of the baby. The journal Pediatrics noted that about 33% of babies experience sleep problems, but they are not detected and not handled properly. Almost 72% of parents do not consider sleep disorders in infants as a problem, even though they can interfere with infant growth, cause impaired immune function, and endocrine system regulation (Sekartini &; Adi, 2016). The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of baby massage on the sleep quality of infants aged 0-6 months at TPMB Rosliana – South Tambun in 2022. Pre-Experimental Research Method with one group pretest-posttest (Adiputra et al., 2021). The results of the study showed the effect of Baby Massage on the quality of sleep of infants aged 0-6 months at TPMB Rosliana With a p value of 0.001 where after massage there was an increase in the quality of baby's sleep, namely before massage harganya 13% of babies with good sleep quality, while after massage 78.3% of babies with good sleep quality.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional status of adults can be seen simply by using body mass index, and especially nutritional status related to vegetarian and nonvegetarian dietary status. Objective: This study aimed to assess the cholesterol levels and BMI of Adventist University Indonesia students. Methods: Using Spearman's rho test, this research technique is quantitative. There were 60 participants who voluntarily gave their consent. The tool used in this study is a lipid profile (measuring tool for cholesterol levels), Results: the study showed that there was no relationship between gender and BMI. While there is a significant relationship to dietary status and cholesterol levels with a unidirectional positive value (p = .000 r = .578).
