Abstract

Kejawen is often interpreted as harmful, deviant, and far from theological elements. This is inseparable from the mandate that kejawen is synonymous with magical, irrational, and magical things. It is as if there is a demarcation line that separates the two elements, assuming that kejawen is dry with spiritual and theological aspects. However, this research proves that kejawen theology is a theological view that is uniquely Javanese. From kejawen theology, a lot can be extracted about the manifestation of God and other dimensions, including the supernatural, namely ghosts. In addition, kejawen has also become the value of life in Javanese society, full of inner appreciation. And through the interpretation of R.Ng.Ronggowarsito's teachings are contained in the Wirid Hidayat Jati and Paramayoga Fibers; one can get an outline that kejawen is closely related to Islam.

Based on these studies, nine values of religious moderation were found, namely: (1) middle - middle (tawassuth), (2) upright (I'tidal), (3) tolerance (tasamuh), (4) deliberation (Shura), (5) reform (ishlah), (6) pioneering (qudwah), (7) citizenship/love of the homeland (muwathanah), (8) anti-Violence (al-la'unf), and (9) friendly culture (I'tibar al-‘urf). These values can be internalized in literary works, whether poetry, prose or drama. In the literary approach, the value of religious moderation influences the psychology and sociology of literature (author and reader) and vice versa. In other words, what is produced (the value of religious moderation) in literary works is the influence of the sociological and psychological author, then the value of religious moderation affects the psychological reader to form the social environment (society). For this reason, the internalization of the value of religious moderation can be done through intrinsic and extrinsic elements of literary works by authors and through literary learning.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the concept of dār al-islām and the application of sharia in the context of the state according to Nahdhatul Ulama as one of the traditionalist views. The significance of this research lies in the ways and views of NU that differ from modernist understandings such as the Indonesian Islamic State (NII), even Masyumi in understanding dār al-islām. It cannot be denied, NU is a massive massive religious organization whose thoughts and movements greatly influence the religious dynamics in Indonesia and have an important role in the formalization of formalization of sharia in the body of the state. Methodologically, this research is a library research which is approached with a historical approach. One-way approach is needed because this research takes historical thinking. The data collected draws on the results of the 11th Congress of the NU Congress in Banjarmasin as primary data, while books and other documents become secondary data. The data collected is analyzed for validity through content analysis to create replicable inference. The conclusion of the study is the concept of dār al-islām according to NU does not make Islam as a formal Islamic state that requires the enactment of sharia. However, what is meant by the concept of dār al-islām is a religious term that means wilayat al-islamiyah (Islamic territory) which must be preserved and maintained as a unity as part of the Islamic tradition. So with this concept all Muslims are required to fight and expel invaders from the motherland. The concept of dār al-islām does not want the formalization of sharia or to make the state as an Islamic state as understood by radical schools

Abstract

Various opinions or atheist ideals are displayed, which assume that the world already exists by itself. As the world is a tirelessly moving machine that has no beginning and no end. Abstract

Indonesia is a great country that is rich in natural resources, culture, tradition and religion. Religious diversity is a prosperity that is owned by Indonesia. Religious diversity that fails to be managed properly can cause problems and even damage the unity of the nation. It has to be well facilitated, and dialogue is one of the methods that can be used. The dialogue becomes a presentation of the diverse religions that brings peace in togetherness as one nation, peace that comes from a clear understanding and not a bias prejudice. It also will discuss many issues including the concept and principle of the Nation. The discussion about religion state is interesting especially the implementation of Shariah though it has not become a comprehensive law in all regions in this country, but in certain areas clearly brings its own color in our society. Shariah is not only talking about the interests of today, but also the spirit that has been maintained since the past. The spirit is not only talking about political memories from the past, but also the values of its believers. In fact, the implementation of Syariah does not run easly and sometimes it has to face more challenges and barriers but the spirit to make Syariah as a comprehensive law is need to be maintained. For one believes that human civilization can return to be a better life, back to early Islam which appeared and developed on earth. Aceh province is one of an example of Syariah implementation as a comprehensive law in society, eventhough it is not yet perfect, the Acehnese keep trying to make it as a guidance of shared life. This paper aims to point out Shariah as a great value to maintain a peace of life because there is an effort in dialouge between something ideal and real. Reality which does not support ideality does not become a barrier.

Abstract

Ethics is one part that can’t be given a distance from the discipline of philosophy. This happened because Greek philosophy also contributed to the birth of Islamic philosophy. In addition, ethics is also a very vital and substantial part of the discipline. Al-Ghazālī himself is a scholar, a philosopher, and a Sufi who is very intelligent and productive. In this case, the concept of Islamic ethics according to al-Ghazālī towards the opinions of philosophers who lead to disbelief, there are three problems, first, the natural faith. Second, God does not know things that are particular (juziyat), but only knows things that are universal (kulliyāt). Third, physical awakening. However, the ethical concept disputed by al-Ghazālī received a rebuttal from one of the Islamic leaders who were no less great, namely Ibn Rushd.
