Abstract

Electric Vehicles Require A Reliable Monitoring System To Maintain Their Efficiency And Safety. This Study Designs A Monitoring System For Battery Condition And Vehicle Location Based On The Esp32 Microcontroller And The Mit App Inventor Application. The System Uses The Pzem 017 Sensor To Monitor Voltage, Current, Power, Energy, As Well As Battery Capacity And Health, And The Neo-7m Gps Module For Location Tracking. Data Is Displayed In Real Time Through An Android Application. Test Results Show That The System Provides Accurate Information, With Minimal And Statistically Insignificant Measurement Errors According To The Paired T-Test. The System Also Remains Stable At Various Vehicle Speeds (Anova), And The Location Tracking Demonstrates An Average Accuracy Of 4.77 Meters In Open Areas. In Enclosed Areas, The Error Increases To An Average Of 10.26 Meters. The System Is Also Capable Of Automatically Calculating Battery Capacity And Health. Overall, The Developed System Proves To Be Effective, Efficient, And Flexible In Supporting The Reliability And Safety Of Electric Vehicles.

Abstract

Maggots are larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) which have benefits as waste decomposers and have high potential as feed ingredients. This study aims to analyze the effect of power and time on maggot drying using microwaves. Using the Computational Fluids Dynamics (CFD) method on microwave heating with a power of 2000 watts and 2500 watts, and a residence time of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes, then the final maggot temperature was tested. The results showed that the final temperature of the maggot tended to increase with increasing power and residence time. This happens because high microwave power provides large energy in a very short time. This energy is efficiently absorbed by maggots through the mechanism of dipole rotation and ionic conduction, causing molecules to vibrate and rub with high intensity. The final temperature of the maggot is between 110oC-125 oC with the highest temperature at a power of 2500 and a drying time of 30 minutes.

Abstract

The welding process is a crucial element in the fabrication and manufacturing industries, serving to join two or more components into a single unit. The quality of the weld is very important, but defects such as undercut, underfill, and spatter are often still found. This study aims to analyse welding defects caused by voltage variations and differences in welding wire on T-joint fillet welds using the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) method on 8 mm thick plates. The voltage variations used were 20.6 V, 23.7 V, and 27.9 V, with welding wires EN ISO 14341-A: G 42 4 M21 3Sil and EN ISO 14341-A: G 46 4 M21 Z 3Ni1Cu. The research method used visual inspection and penetrant testing to identify types of welding defects. The research results showed four types of welding defects from visual inspection: spatter, undercut, weld deposit thickness, and excessive throat thickness, and two from penetrant testing: undercut and end creater pipe. Based on the two tests conducted in this study, it can be concluded that the optimal welding results were achieved at a voltage variation of 23.7 V using the EN ISO 14341-A: G 46 4 M21 Z 3Ni1Cu, as it had the fewest welding defects. The worst welding results were obtained at a voltage variation of 20.6 V using both types of welding wire, as this welding process resulted in numerous welding defects in both visual and penetrant testing. This study provides insights that proper welding parameter settings significantly influence the quality of the welded joint.

Abstract

Generator Set Service Management is the process of organizing maintenance, repair, and upkeep activities of generator sets, starting from planning, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement of services to ensure the generator machine continues to operate effectively and efficiently. The research was conducted at PT. Sigma Quantum Insani, located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The problem addressed in the research is the frequent delays in completing scheduled tasks within the generator set service management activities. The purpose of the study is to determine the critical path of activities and identify the duration of the critical path. From the analysis using the Critical Path Method (CPM) assisted by MS Project software, the identified critical path activities are: A1-B1-B2-B3-B4-B5-B6-B7-B8-B9-B10-B14-B16-B17-C1-C2-D1-D2-D3, which include DO approval, engineering scope, painting scope, and delivery scope. The total time obtained for the critical path is 38 days, resulting in a time efficiency of 8 days in the generator set service process.

Abstract

This study ais to formulate development strategies for Yoga Barbershop in Palaran, East Kalimantan, using SWOT analysis and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). SWOT analysis is utilized to assess internal and external factors,combned with QSPM to determine priority strategies. The study reveals that Yoga Barbershop’s strengths nclude customer loyalty, a strategic location, modern haircut styles,and ownership of the business premises, which reduces operational costs.However, identified weaknesses consist of limited service facilities, inflexible operating hours, restricted space, noise issues, and insufficient staff. Meanwhile, opportunities for Yoga Barbershop include opening new braches and recruiting additional employees. Threats arise from similiar business competitors and changes in hairstyle trends. Based on the findings, Yoga Barbershop’s IE matrix places the business in quadrant V, with a total IFE score of 2,72 and an EFE score of 2,71, indicating a stable position that requires stability strategies. The recommended strategy is the weakness-opportunity (WO) approach. Priority strategic recommendations, in order of importance, are opening a new branch, training new staff, and increasing the flexibility of operational hours.

Abstract

Adding too many electrical components to a vehicle can cause a lack of electrical energy. To overcome this, the capacity of the charging system needs to be improved. One method is by changing the diameter and number of turns of the copper wire in the stator coil. This study tested various combinations of wire diameter and turns to examine their effects on the voltage and temperature produced by the stator coil. The test used wire diameters of 0.7 mm, 0.9 mm, and 1.1 mm, with 50, 60, and 70 turns, at a constant engine speed of 3000 RPM for 5 minutes. The lowest voltage was recorded with a 0.7 mm diameter and 50 turns 26.5 V at the start and 25.7 V at the end. The highest voltage came from the 1.1 mm diameter with 70 turns 51 V at the start and 48.6 V at the end. The starting temperature for all variations was 36 °C. The lowest end temperature was 47.3 °C (0.7 mm, 50 turns), and the highest was 48.8 °C (1.1 mm, 70 turns). The results show that increasing both diameter and the number of turns raises voltage output, while temperature also increases slightly.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a web-based school payment information system using the Agile method at SMK Mutiara Bangsa Cengkareng.The school’s financial management process was still conducted manually using ledgers and spreadsheets, risking data errors and reporting delays.Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation studies.The system was developed iteratively using Agile development cycles, involving stakeholders at each sprint stage.The final result is a web-based application that facilitates payment input, financial reports, transaction history, and role-based access for administrators, staff, teachers, students, and parents.The system improved efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in the school's financial administration.

Abstract

Interest is a feeling of preference and attraction toward something or an activity without being told, typically marked by enjoyment or attention focused on a particular object of interest. This study aims to determine the influence of motivation and family environment on the interest in pursuing higher education among high-achieving 11th-grade students in the Mechanical Engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. This research is a descriptive quantitative study using multiple linear regression methods. The population consisted of 30 high-achieving students ranked 1–15 from each class (XI TP A and XI TP B) at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. The entire population was used as the sample using the census method (saturated sampling). Data collection instruments included questionnaires using a Likert scale, which had been tested for validity and reliability. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Padang, with the research subjects being 11th-grade students in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire. Based on the research findings and data analysis, it can be concluded that motivation and family environment have a significant influence, both partially and simultaneously, on students’ interest in continuing their studies to higher education. The average score for motivation falls into the high category (72.86), the average for the family environment is in the moderate category (44.73), and the average for interest is in the high category (73.86). Together, the variables of motivation and family environment can explain a substantial portion of the variation in students’ interest in pursuing higher education.

Abstract

3D printing technology is rapidly developing and being used in various fields. One of the main factors affecting print quality is the filament, with ABS being a popular material due to its eco-friendliness, ease of printing, and good mechanical strength. To achieve precision, the filament diameter must be consistent, around 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm according to the design nozzle diameter. The production of ABS filament uses a single screw plastic extruder machine, where the material is melted, extruded, and then cooled. Two main factors that affect the final dimensions are the extrusion temperature and the cooling medium. Improper temperature can alter the viscosity of ABS melt, affecting the extrusion rate and diameter accuracy. Meanwhile, differences in cooling media, such as blower air and water, affect material shrinkage and dimensional stability. This research aims to analyze the influence of extrusion temperature variations and cooling media on the diameter of ABS filaments. Through experiments with varying parameters, the pattern of diameter changes will be analyzed to determine the optimal conditions that minimize dimensional deviations. The research results are expected to contribute to the optimization of ABS filament extrusion parameters to support the 3D printing industry with higher quality materials.

Motorcycles are two-wheeled vehicles that have a fairly high economic value compared to other vehicles in the general public. Motorcycles are formed from several constituent components such as the vehicle frame, engine, transmission, final gear, and wheels. One of them that will be discussed is the use of final gear. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of torque produced from 3 variations of final gear 13Tx49T, 14Tx48T, 15Tx50T on the 2017 r15v3 motorcycle. From the data obtained, the maximum torque size at the final gear use size 13Tx49T = .... Nm at a speed of 8000 rpm. 14Tx48T = .... Nm at a speed of 8000 rpm. 15Tx50T = .... Nm at a speed of 8000 rpm. Meanwhile, the difference in torque ratio produced by the final gear (standard) size 14Tx48T with the size 15Tx50T the difference in value = ...
