Abstract

Employees who work in their jobs must achieve work goals within a certain period of time. The purpose of the study was to determine the difference in blood pressure values and hemoglobin levels between Production Operators and Laboratory Officers of the Spunbond Factory in Balongbendo. Blood pressure measurement used ABN aneroid tensimeter, while hemoglobin level measurement used easy touch GCHB. The type of research used was quantitative observational analytic with a cross sectional approach. Data analysis using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) includes chi square test, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test. Independent sample t-test statistical test obtained p-value> 0.05. Indicates that there is no significant difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure values before and after working Production Operators with Laboratory Officers. The results of measuring the hemoglobin level of Production Operators, obtained an average hemoglobin level of 15.0 mmHg. While the results of measuring the hemoglobin level of Laboratory Officers obtained an average value of 15.4 mmHg. The results of the independent sample t-test statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.280 or p-value> 0.05. That there is no significant difference in hemoglobin levels between Production Operators and Laboratory Officers.

Abstract

Patients with COVID-19 have increased serum levels of Procalcitonin and decreased albumin, a key inflammatory marker associated with a high risk of organ injury and death. This study aims to determine the profile of inflammatory parameters albumin and procalcitonin in covid-19 patient cases. The type of research used is retrospective with a cross sectional approach. The research data were taken using a simple random sampling technique. Analysis for albumin with severity in COVID-19 positive patients in this study used an optimal limit or cut-off value of 3.5 g/dL. The optimal limit or cut off value for Procalcitonin in this study was 0.05 µg/L. The results of research from 30 patient data showed that there was a decrease in albumin levels in moderate and severe patients by 60% and an increase in procalcitonin levels > 0.05 µg/L by 96%. The conclusion of this study is that there was a decrease in albumin levels and an increase in procalcitonin levels in COVID-19 case patients, which indicates inflammation due to SARS-COV2 virus infection.

Abstract

Sytem by humans as managers or occupants of the building. Many of us encounter discrepancies regarding Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) both in how to use, place, inspect and how to maintain APAR. This had an impact on the failure of the fire extinguishing process at the start of the incident, causing a fire. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the relationship between working period, training participation and skills in using Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) for Mandalika Hospital employees in 2023. This study used analytic observation with a cross-sectional method and usus an observational approach. This study uses univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The result of the study showed that 33.8% of respondents with long working period were skilled in suing Light Fire Extinguishers while 66.2% were unskilled. Respondents with new working period were 18.4% unskilled, while 81.6% new working period were unskilled with a chi-square P = 0.087 > 0.05. It meant that there was not any relationship between working period and Light Fire Extinguishers use skills. As many as 41.3% of skilled respondents had participated in training on the use of Light Fire Extinguishers, while 58.7% were unskilled. Respondents who had never participated in training but were skilled in using APAR were 20.3% and respondents who had never participated in training were 79.7% unskilled with a chi-square value P = 0.015 < 0.05 indicating that there was a relationship between participation in training and Light Fire Extinguishers use skills.

Abstract

Indonesia still faces nutritional problems, one of which is undernutrition. Undernutrition is a nutritional issue that can affect toddlers. Toddlers, defined as children aged 0–59 months, need close monitoring of their growth and development since they are in the "Golden Age" phase. Toddlers experiencing undernutrition can be identified by their thin body condition, indicated by a weight-for-length or height score falling between -2 to -3 standard deviations, and/or an upper arm circumference of 11.5–12.5 cm in children aged 6–59 months. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between family knowledge, family support, and the role of health cadres in toddler visits to the integrated health post (Posyandu) at Harapan Raya Health Center. Research Contribution: While this study does not generate new theories, it is expected to contribute ideas within the field of public health. Additionally, it aims to provide researchers with insights and experience, broadening their knowledge, and serving as useful information for future studies.

Abstract

The increasing number of elderly people reflects a rise in the average life expectancy, which can potentially lead to health issues. Among these is a decline in cognitive function, which may result in difficulties carrying out daily activities. If elderly individuals are unable to maintain independence, it can cause them to feel powerless, ill, and dependent on the assistance of others. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between cognitive function and the level of independence of the elderly in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) in the working area of the Mungka Public Health Center (Puskesmas). This study employs an observational analytical method with a cross-sectional design. The research sample was obtained through consecutive sampling, with a total of 51 elderly individuals residing in the working area of the Mungka Public Health Center. The research instruments used were the MoCA-Ina to measure cognitive function and the Katz Index to assess the level of independence in the elderly. The data analysis employed bivariate analysis using the chi-square statistical test. The study results showed that 20 elderly individuals (39.2%) experienced a decline in cognitive function, and 18 elderly individuals (35.3%) had moderate dependency. The statistical test results indicated a significant relationship between cognitive function and the level of independence in the elderly, with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between cognitive function and the level of independence of the elderly in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) in the working area of the Mungka Public Health Center.
