Abstract

Character education is an important element in shaping the emotional stability of junior high school students, especially amidst the complex emotional development challenges of adolescence. Values such as empathy, self-control, and responsibility instilled through character education help students manage emotions, improve social relationships, and deal constructively with academic and social pressures. This article examines the role of character education based on a literature review, highlighting collaboration between school, family and community as key supporting elements. Despite implementation challenges, such as time constraints and lack of teacher training, a holistic approach and integration of character values in the curriculum have been shown to be effective in supporting students' emotional development. The findings provide insights for educators and policy makers to optimise the positive impact of character education in shaping adolescent emotional stability

Abstract

This paper will explain the features of Western epistemology that have contributed to the development of the discipline of modern psychology, specifically regarding the human personality in Freud's school of psychoanalysis. Modern Western epistemology model which is attached to logic-empiric and dualistic, causes the understanding of human personality to be less comprehensive. In this case the aspect of fitrah ruhiyyah which is the core of the Islamic teaching tradition becomes empty. By using the Islamic worldview approach, this simple study concludes a number of important points: The personality that Freud's formulation in the flow of psychoanalysis emphasizes that the sex or life instinct (libido) which works based on pleasure (Pleasure principle) is the main driving force of human personality. This point of view makes the object of study in the realm of psychology not holistic, because it is only limited to human biological (Jismiyyah) and psychological (Nafsiyyah) aspects. By emphasizing the somatic aspect alone, Freud's formulation of the human personality actually leaves a problem. The concept of personality, which should emphasize the aspect of fitrah ruhiyyah, is not made the core of the discussion. This problem of imbalance characterizes as well as characterizes all schools of modern psychology.

Using descriptive qualitative research method, this study aims to reveal how the subjective well-being of Tarim women is represented in contemporary literary works, as well as to analyze its relationship with asceticism values that are an integral part of Tarim people's lives. The research data was obtained through close reading of the novel, focusing on narratives and dialogues that describe the emotional experiences, life satisfaction, and religious practices of the female characters. The results show that the subjective well-being of Tarim women is formed through a complex interaction between life satisfaction based on spiritual values, positive affect derived from religious observance, and the practice of asceticism that is internalized in daily life. The findings provide a new perspective on how traditional values and modernity can coexist in shaping women's psychological well-being in the context of a traditional Muslim society.

Abstract

a counseling approach based on local values through the teachings of the soul of Ki Ageng Suryomentaram. This approach focuses on the cultivation of feelings as a means to understand oneself and overcome life's problems, by placing humans as creatures driven by feelings, not just thoughts. Within this framework, counseling not only aims to solve emotional problems, but also directs individuals towards a happier, healthier, and more prosperous life. Suryomentaraman counseling reinforces the importance of self-awareness and awareness of inner change as a path to spiritual fortitude. Counselors in this approach act as reminders that help clients accept life conditions openly and be aware of the nature of human desires that are constantly changing. The principle of the present, namely accepting "what is now, here, and like this", is the main foundation in this counseling process. This approach also rejects dependence on western concepts, and prioritizes spiritual and introspective values typical of Javanese culture. Therefore, counseling based on the soul of the soul is a relevant alternative for efforts to improve mental well-being in the context of Indonesian society which is rich in local wisdom.

Abstract

The KIPAS Counseling Model (Intensive, Progressive, Adaptive, and Structural Counseling) was developed in response to the growing demand for counseling services in Indonesia that are contextual, religiously rooted, and culturally relevant. This model integrates Islamic values, local wisdom, and modern psychological principles into a holistic and dynamic counseling framework. This study uses a literature review method to explore the background, rationale, and philosophical-scientific foundations underlying the KIPAS model. The approach not only addresses psychological issues but also aims to shape character, strengthen self-identity, and foster spiritual awareness. From the perspective of philosophy of science and human nature, this model highlights the importance of glocalization and postmodern approaches in advancing guidance and counseling knowledge. Therefore, the KIPAS model provides a comprehensive, ethical, and culturally responsive solution for counseling practices in Indonesia.
