Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve basic accounting literacy among fishermen in Gampong Paroy, Lhong Subdistrict, Aceh Besar, as part of a local economic empowerment strategy based on the blue economy concept. The activity was conducted on the coast of Gampong Paroy and involved 30 participants, including village officials and active fishermen. The methods used included educational lectures and interactive sessions, accompanied by simulations of simple bookkeeping practices relevant to small-scale fisheries. The training materials covered income and expense recording as well as basic profit-loss calculations. Evaluation results indicated increased participant understanding of the importance of financial records as decision-making tools in their fishing businesses. The program also raised awareness of data-driven business management to support sustainable coastal economic development. Recommendations include follow-up technical training and integrating similar programs into village institutional planning. This program is expected to serve as a replicable model for sustainable coastal economic empowerment in other similar regions.Keywords: fishermen, basic bookkeeping, micro-accounting, blue economy, coastal economy

Abstract

AbstractDrought is a natural disaster caused by a deficit in rainfall over a certain period of time which causes insufficient water availability for human activities and the environment. Mon Ikeun Village is one of the villages experiencing a shortage of water availability. Therefore, it is necessary to provide adequate water to anticipate drought in Mon Ikeun village. This service aims to carry out humanitarian aid activities for drought in Gampong Mon Ikeun by providing well waqf, apart from being a form of humanity it is also a form of investment in the hereafter. This service uses qualitative analysis methods data collected through field surveys and interviews with the community to obtain the required data. The results of this service show that the provision of well waqf is very effective in increasing access to clean water and reducing dependence on unsecured water sources.Keywords: Drought, Water availability, Well waqf Abstrak Kekeringan merupakan bencana alam yang diakibatkan oleh kerusakan lingkungan dan defisit curah hujan dalam periode waktu tertentu yang menyebabkan tidak cukupnya ketersediaan air untuk kegiatan manusia dan lingkungan. Gampong Mon Ikeun menjadi salah satu desa yang mengalami kekurangan ketersediaan air. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan penyediaan air yang memadai untuk mengantisipasi kekeringan di Gampong Mon Ikeun. Pengabdian ini bertujuan  untuk melakukan kegiatan bantuan kemanusiaan kekeringan di Gampong Mon Ikeun dengan menyediakan wakaf sumur, selain sebagai bentuk kemanusiaan juga sebagai bentuk investasi akhirat. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui survei lapangan dan wawancara kepada masyarakat untuk memperoleh data yang dibutuhkan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyediaan wakaf sumur sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan akses air bersih dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada sumber air yang tidak terjamin.Kata Kunci : Kekeringan, Ketersediaan air, Wakaf sumur

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PKM) carried out in Lampupok Village, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar aims to provide understanding and knowledge to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Village regarding the importance of good financial records and the use of digital technology in financial management so as to increase efficiency and transparency regarding how much funds are used and the actual financial position, both profits and losses obtained. This activity involves MSME business actors, most of whom are Acehnese snack businesses, on average these business actors do not have much experience because they are still new to the MSME business world. The activity method is carried out using interactive lectures to provide an explanation of the importance of financial recording for business and introduce financial applications through technology. Discussion sessions are also held for participants to provide an opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences and solutions as one way to solve obstacles faced in financial management.Based on the evaluation results, this activity can improve the understanding of participants by showing high interest in the use of digital technology in their financial records.In every activity there must be challenges, as well as in this activity such as limited knowledge and access to technology, this activity also provides a positive contribution in supporting the digital transformation of MSMEs. Suggestions for future activities to create training using more interactive digital accounting applications, so that participants can more easily implement the knowledge gained in their businesses. Keywords: MSMEs, financial records, digitalization

Abstract

This community service program focuses on empowering the local community in Desa Setu through the development of Cafe Kampoeng. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the community is actively involved in the design and implementation processes. The program emphasizes the use of local materials such as bamboo, rattan, and wood to produce sustainable and ergonomic furniture. Training workshops were conducted for table, chair, and custom furniture production, integrating ergonomic principles to ensure user comfort and functionality. The results showed increased community skills, improved economic opportunities, and enhanced local tourism potential. Abstract

With the increasing ease of accessing and sharing information through social media, there is a greater possibility of individuals unknowingly getting caught up in the Electronic Information and Transactions Act if they are unaware of the rules governing comments, feedback, or criticism on social media. This socialization aims to raise awareness among students at a high school located in Banda Aceh, encouraging them to use social media more responsibly to avoid falling afoul of the ITE Act. The results of the socialization effort have revealed that the students have some knowledge that there are limitations when it comes to writing or commenting on social media, but they are unaware of the specific regulations, which, if violated, could lead to imprisonment for the offenders.   Keywords: Socialization, social media, Act

Abstract

One of the health problems that need to be watched out for in Indonesia is stunting in children under five. Stunting is a toddler whose height for ages is under -2 Standard Deviation from the WHO median standard (TB/U -2 SD) (WHO, 2012). Jackfruit seeds can be used in food development to increase the nutritional content of food products which can be used to address nutritional problems, one of which is stunting. Making biscuits with the addition of jackfruit seeds is expected to have a high nutritional content so that they can be an alternative nutritional snack for stunting toddlers (WHO, 2012). The purpose of the service is to overcome the nutritional problems of stunting cases in toddlers in the PODIHAGU area and introduce local food ingredients with many health benefits. The implementation method is carried out face-to-face (offline) with the lecture method at the house of a resident in Podihagu Hamlet. Conclusion to increase public knowledge about the benefits of jackfruit seeds for toddler health. The importance of increasing public knowledge of the importance of the problem of malnutrition in toddlers or cases of stunting health. Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the quality of learning and school management through the collaboration of the Kampus Mengajar (Teaching Campus) program at SMPN 3 Ingin Jaya. This program was initiated based on the school’s need to optimize teaching and learning processes as well as to improve administrative management. The methods implemented included mentoring teachers in applying active learning strategies, guiding students to improve literacy and numeracy skills, and assisting school management in administrative governance and the use of information technology. The results of the program indicated increased student learning motivation, enhanced teacher competence in utilizing innovative learning media, and improvements in the school’s administrative systems. The collaboration between the university and the school through the Kampus Mengajar program is expected to serve as a sustainable partnership model to support quality improvement in partner schools.

Abstract

Bantimoh Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a preschool located in Weu Lhok Village, Montasik District, Aceh Besar, located in the mountains, where the population is predominantly farmers and gardeners. A survey and interviews with the principal revealed a lack of numeracy literacy learning media at the PAUD. This Community Service (PKM) aims to implement learning media based on the traditional game of snakes and ladders as a means of improving literacy and numeracy for early childhood children at Bantimoh PAUD. The PKM implementation method includes media design, outreach to teachers and parents, game implementation assistance, and evaluation of child development. The results of the activity indicate an increase in learning interest, understanding of number concepts, letter recognition, and simple arithmetic skills in children. In addition, teachers obtained alternative creative learning media that can be applied in daily teaching and learning activities. Thus, the implementation of the snakes and ladders numeracy literacy media at Bantimoh PAUD is effective in supporting the achievement of basic competencies for early childhood.

Abstract

Reading is a fundamental skill that plays a crucial role in the academic development of elementary school students. However, reading interest in rural areas remains relatively low. This community service program aims to improve the reading interest of children in Seubam Cot Village through the Fun Reading Adventure approach using picture stories. The implementation method consisted of four stages: needs identification, the development of picture story modules, interactive reading activities, and evaluation through observation and interviews. The results show several significant outcomes. First, students’ literacy skills improved through the integration of texts and illustrations that facilitated comprehension. Second, picture stories enhanced students’ intrinsic motivation to read by presenting narratives in an engaging and enjoyable format. Third, the reading experience enriched children’s emotional and social aspects by fostering empathy and self-confidence in communication. Fourth, the program supported the development of social skills through group discussions and interactions with peers and parents. This program demonstrates that the use of picture stories can effectively promote reading habits in young learners at the elementary level.

Abstract

Field Work Practice Program is a form of university community service aimed at bridging the gap (link and match) between education and industry. The goal of this activity is to provide students with experience in a professional work environment and to enhance technical competencies, soft skills, and teamwork needed by industry. This community service journal aims to examine lecturer mentoring during student Field Work Practice Program, with the aim of making the Field Work Practice Program process more focused and providing greater benefits in improving student competencies, soft skills, and teamwork. The Field Work Practice activities for students in the Sharia Banking Study Program at the Islamic University of Depok were conducted at the branch offices of several National Banks and Sharia Rural Bank (Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Syariah (BPRS)) in the Depok City area, involving sixth-semester students for one month in July and August 2025. The mentoring methods included initial briefing, observation, coaching, report writing, and evaluation of student learning performance. The results showed that the majority of students experienced improvements in their understanding of work processes, interdepartmental relationships, discipline, self-confidence, courage, adaptability and communication and teamwork skills. This Field Work Practice activity is considered effective as a means of helping improve the competency of university graduates who are ready to work.
