Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi is a journal devoted to the development of Psychology as a scientific discipline published by the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Pancasila. To achieve these objectives, Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi presents scientific texts from various branches of psychology: Developmental and Clinical Psychology, Social and Cultural Psychology, Business Psychology & Industrial Psychology and Organization, Educational and School Psychology, Psychometry and Psychological Measurement. Published scientific papers are the results of research that have been achieved in community service, development and application of science and technology from the results of community service activities, concepts or implementation in order to increase community participation in development, empowerment or implementation of community service. To ensure the quality of each scientific text published, the Editorial Board and Peer Reviews reviewed the manuscript. Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi is published twice a year, in May and November.

Abstract

Self confidence is considered very important for the development of adolescents and children’s as it is one of the standard criteria for achiving individual social and emotional development. Adolescents and children’s who possess self-confidence will have a positive self-image and self-concept. On the other hand, adolescents and children with low self confidence will show doubtful behavior when completing tasks, do not dare to speak in a group activities without support, tend to withdraw and avoid participating in discussion, isolate themselves from their environment, and tend to be aggressive. Through catoe rimueng training and the art of speech activities, children’s in orphanage can enhance their self confidence. The objective of this community service is to boost the self confidence of the children at Media Kasih Orphanage in Banda Aceh City. The observation instrument used before and after the implementation of this community service is The Lautser Self Confidence Scale (2012). Based on the observation, there is an increase in children’s self confidence before and after the implementation. Thus, there is potential for program sustainability with defined product prototypes.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service activity throughout training has the aim to increase the ability of counseling teachers at SMA Penggerak in making Guidance and Counseling program based on an assessment of student needs to support the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka. The implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, especially at SMA Penggerak has its own peculiarity because students can choose subject according to their interests with the guidance of a counseling teacher. This training was based on Experiential Learning Theory (ELT) approach for adult learner. The training involved facilitator whose selected persons through selection and had attended Technical Guidance. Most of facilitators were psychologist from all regions in Indonesia. The training is conducted online using Google Meet simultaneously for all counseling teachers of SMA Penggerak in 7 (seven) Provinces. Moreover, participants in this article came from 4 (four) provinces on the island of Sulawesi. The training was held for two days with a total of 10 JP (Lesson Hours). The training was attended by 20 participants. The results of the training showed that counseling teachers were able to design the Guidance and Counseling program based on an assessment of student needs and presented it at the end of the training.

Abstract

This counselling training activity aims to equip job introducers with counselling skills so they can do their role as counsellors for job seekers. The trainees are 180 introducers who are divided into 6 classes, so that each class has 30 participants. The implementation of the training is carried out for 2 days which is equivalent to 20 hours of training. The evaluation of the training program is carried out using level 2 evaluation based on Kirkpatrick evaluation method, which involves pre-training and post-training assessments. The results of this level 2 evaluation will explain whether this training is effective in terms of mastering the knowledge conveyed in the training. The evaluation results explained that 87% of participants increased their knowledge in counselling, 7% participants showed no difference in knowledge of counselling before and after the training program, 3% experienced a decrease in knowledge and 3% did not take the post-test. In order to improve the result of the training, it is recommended to reorganize the flow of the training program to ensure that the material covered is not too condensed within the two-day timeframe. It is suggested to extend the training duration to three days.

Abstract

Impostor phenomenon is one of mental health issues which poses risk for an individual, especially in youths. Management of impostor phenomenon within youth is urgent to maintain their mental health. The problem of impostor phenomenon also found in Menjadi Manusia collective affiliated, in which the youth affiliated with this collective was identified experiencing impostor phenomenon. We conducted serial activities within a workshop to help these youth in managing impostor phenomenon. The workshop designed as psychoeducation and psychological intervention to equip the youth in understanding and managing impostor phenomenon. Participants’s feedback about the workshop suggests that it helped them to understand and manage impostor phenomenon. Results of this workshop serve as an initial suggestion on how to manage impostor phenomenon, particularly in Menjadi Manusia collective affiliated.

Abstract

Cases of bullying in educational institutions and Islamic boarding schools are starting to occur. Educational institutions that should be safe places to build the student's character have been tarnished by the actions of some individuals due to cases of bullying. Not only do students experience anxiety as a result but also parents, teachers, and school principals. Therefore, preventive measures are needed so that bully can be minimized. The focus of this community service activity is to provide education about bullying aimed at class X, XI, and XII students of SMK 02 Islam 45 Ambulu Jember. Additionally, education is provided to stakeholders regarding efforts that can be undertaken to minimize the occurrence of bullying or when there are cases of bullying at school. The community service activities are carried out using the expository method, namely providing material and discussing with participants. This community service concludes that students enthusiastically participated in the activity until the end. Furthermore, an evaluation of psychoeducational activities was carry out through the Google Form, that inform the students understood the phenomenon of bullying after listening to explanations from the presenters.

Abstract

The lack of life support for patients with mental disorders is currently of great concern. Various parties are working together to help patients with mental disorders, both from the family and the hospital. However, what is found in reality is just a mere talk. However, it is important to realize that they simply need to be acknowledge, supported, and recognized like humans in general. This can be done by actively listening to stories or complaints from of ODGJ (Orang dengan gangguan Jiwa / people with mental disorder) patients to their improved quality of life. Sharing is caring is one of the activities aimed at providing life support to ODGJ patients. This activity is carried out by providing time for patients to share their stories, experiences, and complaints while in the Dadi Makassar hospital ward. The results of therapy indicate that this activity is effective for ODGJ patients in fostering the spirit of recovery and improving their quality of life.

Abstract

The ability to manage emotions is essential for students. This service activity aims to provide psychoeducation to Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Darul Falah Selangor Malaysia female students by organizing Expressive writing classes. Three stages are carried out: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The service program chosen for this service is the expressive writing class. The interview service results show that expressive writing can make Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Darul Falah female students love themselves more, be happier, and increase learning motivation. This service program can continue to be carried out for students in other Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Difficulties and challenges in the lives of teenagers who are in the transition period to adulthood, if they are not equipped with good adaptability, will cause problems with teenagers' mental health. One of the factors that influences teenagers' mental health is a feeling of gratitude. Regarding this gratitude factor, an approach that can be used to increase feelings of gratitude in teenagers is a mindfulness approach. Mindfulness is considered suitable for high school students because mindfulness is something that is applied in everyday life. In this research, what we want to prove is the role of mindfulness meditation in increasing high school students' mindfulness. The research subjects consisted of 92 Atisa Dipamkara High School students in grades 10 and 11. The method used was a quantitative research method that used SPSS for the data processing program. The design used is quasi-experimental research, a one-group pre-test post-test design. The measuring instrument used is the Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), which has been adapted into Indonesian. The research results showed that there was a significant difference between before and after the mindfulness meditation training was given. Thus, the mindfulness meditation provided has been proven to significantly increase mindfulness in high school students.

Abstract

Corruption is a phenomenon that still occurs in Indonesia. This condition encourages concrete steps to be taken so that acts of corruption can be prevented, one of which is by involving the role of officials' wives in the government environment. It is considered important for wives to be involved in preventing and eradicating corruption because basically, wives have a big influence on the decisions taken by their husbands, who in this case are in office. Therefore it was held "Training of Internalization Strengthening The Role of Women (Wives of Government Officials) on Developing a Culture of Integrity". The training aims to internalize the nine core values of integrity, which are Jujur (honesty), Mandiri (independence), Tanggung jawab (responsibility), Berani (courage), Sederhana (simplicity), Peduli (care), Disiplin (discipline), Adil (fairness), and Kerja Keras (hard work), it’s called “Jumat Bersepeda KK”. The Integrity Training was delivered using experiential learning methods that were known to enhance the learning process through concrete experiences designed for individual or group activities. Through the execution of this training, it can be concluded that the aim of the training was achieved, as evidenced by the participants' ability to draw insights and their enthusiasm in asking questions during the training sessions. Further development of this program is by implementing pre-test and post-test measurements to assess the effectiveness of the training.

Abstract

The activity of psychological skills training aims to equip the coaches of KONI DIY with psychological skills, enabling them to fulfill their roles as coaches for athletes. The training participants are 25 KONI DIY coaches, and the training was conducted over one day on July 29, 2023. Data were analyzed through pre-tests and post-tests, with the results indicating an improvement in understanding from a pre-test score of 9.840 to a post-test score of 10.320. However, statistical analysis revealed no significant difference between the two tests, with a Sig. value of 0.179 > 0.05. In contrast, the results of the participants' reaction evaluations showed a positive emotional impact, with average scores ranging from 3.68 to 4.36 in various aspects. These findings emphasize the importance of the training material. To achieve better training outcomes, efforts are needed to make the material more engaging, allocate more time, and provide more in-depth content. In conclusion, this psychological training activity has the potential to enhance communication between coaches and athletes, despite no significant changes in knowledge.
