Abstract

This research aims to determine society's perception of preserving moral values for women, to determine patterns of instilling moral values in women, and to determine the role of women in preserving moral values. To achieve this goal, qualitative research methods were used by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed and interpreted based on theory and relevant research results. The results of the research show that preserving moral values for women is very important, where this preservation starts from the upbringing or teachings of each parent to their child and how a woman wants to apply these attitudes in the community by socializing with the local community. And the role of women in preserving moral values is by understanding morals themselves, then applying them wherever they are, whether in the family, school or community environment, and getting used to them so that these moral values do not fade.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the conditions and utilization of farmer's land in Tembalae Village, Pajo Sub-District, Dompu District, West Nusa Tenggara, (2) the forms of mutual cooperation between farmer households, and (3) economic management strategies in households and knowing factors. what factors influence the expenditure of farmer households. The type of qualitative research is descriptive research with data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation involving 11 informants. The results of the study show that (1) land ownership through inheritance, purchase, and giving in Tembalae Village has a role in realizing family economic resilience. In the concept of sustainable agriculture, land is a local resource for rural communities. Land, water, relief and land height, climate and cover crops are the basic capital for rural livelihoods (2) mutual cooperation is a characteristic of the general public, so that the nature and existence of mutual cooperation is not just an area. The Tembalae Village community for example, they recognize the existence of mutual cooperation activities with the term (Weha rima) weha rima which is a work that has become their daily activities and is still maintained, and (3) Strategies for managing household economics include strategies for Household Survival Strategy and Consolidation Strategy Household.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the living conditions of the urban poor during the Covid-19 pandemic in Makassar City. The research method in this study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data validation technique is triangulation of sources to assess the credibility of data from data sources. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study show that changes in behavior and the impact on economic activity during the Covid-19 pandemic have led to an increase in the number and level of poverty in Makassar City. This can be seen from the decrease in income due to increased unemployment and reduced employment and business opportunities. For this reason, the government has implemented a short-term and fast management program in the form of a social safety net to overcome health, economic and social shocks caused by the Covid 19 pandemic through several assistance policies to the urban poor in particular and society in general.

Abstract

The view that culture is a system of human conditions and the environment has long been developed. But until now there is no single theory that can be used as the main key to analyze various cultural realities that occur in various places. This article tries to analyze the theories that have developed related to the view that culture is a system of human adaptation to the environment. The method used is a literature review to identify, evaluate, and systematically the theories put forward by experts. The results of the study show that because of the complexity of human life, so far there is no single approach that can absolutely become an "English key" to uncover all existing theoretical problems.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the historical and cultural relations between the Selayar people and the Buton people. History records that the Selayar and Buton Islands in the past had important meanings and contributed to the pattern of the historical stage, especially the period of entry and development of Islam in the Sulawesi Peninsula. Various sources say that Selayar people and Buton people have important relationships both genetically, culturally, powerfully and historically. Thus, reading the Selayar History or the History of Buton, both will intersect in their descriptions. In terms of Islamic teachings Selayar and Buton have many similarities, thus reinforcing the notion that both were Islamized by the same Islamic broadcasters. On the other hand, the similarity of dialect and language between the Laiyolo people in Selayar and Walio in Buton is also a sign that the relationship between the two islands in the past is very important. What is the historical setting and the forms of relations between Selayar and Buton, are the core studies of this paper.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what efforts have been made by the people of Tenro Hamlet, Bontolemngan Village, Buki District, Selayar Islands Regency to maintain the existence of the Ambelu Tradition. This study uses a type of qualitative research that is analyzed and written descriptively. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (2) the efforts made by the Dusun Tenro community in preserving the Ambelu Tradition are (a) conducting socialization (b) opening a joint learning forum.

Abstract

This article discusses my personal experience as a Muslim traveler visiting several attractions, public spaces, and restaurants in Hong Kong City from late October to early November 2017. The narrative of this experience aims to serve as a guide and reference for other Muslim travelers who will visit the country. The approach of this study uses the perspective of sociology of space by using qualitative data both in description and analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out in the form of direct observation and recording, interviews with tour guides, and documentation. The results showed that the Hong Kong government has an interesting tourism sector policy, including the provision of various culinary tourism destinations and some of them are restaurants that provide halal menus. This can be seen as a spatial awareness and spatial practice, especially in the field of urban tourism. The practical benefit of the study is as a guide for Muslim tourists who will visit Hong Kong.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) How is the Divorce Process in the Bangkan Hamlet of Enrekang Regency. (2) What are the factors and causes of Divorce in the Bangkan Hamlet of Enrekang Regency. (3) What is the impact of Divorce in the Bangkan Hamlet of Enrekang Regency. In this study using the type of kulaitatif research written in descriptive. The technique of data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. This study involved 12 informants. Based on the results of the research in the field, it shows that the divorce process in the District of Enrekang just happened and even some of the divorced people rarely filed their divorce cases with the Enrekang Religion Court for certain reasons, then the factors that caused the Divorce in the Bangkan Village in Enrekang District . These factors include, (a) internal factors (1) economic factors, (2) lack of responsibility, (3) disputes and domestic violence (domestic violence), (4) infidelity, (5) marriages without love and matchmaking parents. Whereas the impact is, (a) Phosphorous Impact: (1) Feelings of relief after divorce (b) Negative Impact (1) Children are only close to one of their parents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the socio-economic aspects of the driving force married women working so that entrance into the public sector as a clerk in the city of Makassar Mall Panakukang; and large allocation of time women workers who work as clerks at the Mall Panakukang family than working the household.This study used qualitative methods with descriptive approaches, techniques of collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique on 20 people informant. The results showed that the factors driving the woman works as a saleswoman at the Mall Panakukang Makassar, the social aspects include: the future of children, husband's work, and self-actualization. While the economic aspect includes: husband's income, expenditure in the household, and the desire to save money. The division of time allocation in women workers as a salesman families were divided into 3 groups of the division of time, ie before going to work, while he was at work and after returning to work is 8 hours of working time so that 16 hours of rest that is used to take care of household chores. The impact is felt for the families of the working woman working woman is still helping their families in meeting the economic needs of working women, although her family has had its own domestic life.

Abstract

In social research there are two methods that are often used, namely a qualitative approach which is built on the foundation of the philosophy of phenomenology and a quantitative approach which refers to the philosophy of positivism. The two adherents of this approach sometimes criticize each other, especially regarding their effectiveness and reliability in presenting data related to social problems. This paper examines the two not in opposite positions, but reveals the characteristics of each and the possibility of using these two approaches simultaneously in research activities. A certain theory, including the study approach, is not always in accordance with the social problems studied, so that these two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative, are the choices to be used. This paper also discusses about humans and their problems, what are social problems, research and its objectives, and the steps of research.
