Abstract

This research aims to find out the view of Makassar women, the view of Malabbiri and the elements that influence the view of Malabbiri. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The key informants in this research are students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law as the main subject of research. Researchers used data collection techniques conducted by observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that Makassar women are women who are brave, loyal and always maintain the value of siri'na pacce in behavior and behavior, and are able to serve their husbands well, because that is the provision in serving their husbands well. Malabbiri is a woman who maintains attitude and behavior, is intellectually intelligent, maintains polite and courteous ethics, is elegant in dress and speech. The element that influences the view of Malabbiri is modernity, including the entry of outside cultures, technological developments, and environmental influences. Abstract

This research was done to find out how to community understood, especially among Bima young people in the Simpasai village of Lambu subsdistrict regarding rimpu, which became the culture of dou mbojo. This type of research is qualititave research using the library research method and field research. Data is obtained by observing first, and conducting interviews and literature review by interviewing informations, such as community leaders, village staff, weavers, academies and the general public in Simpasai village and Lambu sub-district. The result of the study show that rimpu has meaningand value that make it a characteristic for dou mbojo, both in terms of use and meaning. In addition, the use of rimpu is inseparable from the use of typical Bima tembe. Tembe has different patterns and motifs. Weavers who make it the pattern according to their needs. Although now the rimpu starts to disappear from the life of dou mbojo, but it is just the form. The are still values that are trying to be preserved.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on exchange practices that occur in the people of Bajiminasa Village which are carried out through the mappassolo culture. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation involving several informants. The results of this study indicate: (1) The forms of exchange that occur in the 'mappassolo' culture in Bajiminasa village are very helpful to the community, especially event owners, both socially and economically. (2) There is a change in the community's meaning of the values contained in the reciprocity of the mappassolo culture, but does not reduce the values contained in this culture. (3) the people of Bajiminasa Village related to their siri' philosophy have a feeling of obligation for them to return what they have received because this is the same as a debt for them and must be paid back.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the origin of the emergence of Candoleng-doleng in Sidrap, public opinion about Candoleng-doleng and the impact of the existence of Candoleng-doleng. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, which produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from the behavior of the people observed. Researchers observed and interacted with community leaders, prominent figures, and youth leaders in Bulucenrana Village using observation, interview and documentation methods. Based on the results of research, it is known that the show or the type of musical entertainment elekton Candoleng-doleng began to be known and developed in Sidrap district around 2008, and in an instant, the erotic shake that became very popular among the people, this is because the action of candoleng-doleng appear cheap. For those who love music entertainment elekton Candoleng-doleng they cannot be separated from their hobby, candoleng-doleng has become a magnet for those who are always present in every elekton Candoleng-doleng musical performances. While the music lovers community of elekton Candoleng-doleng did not consider this show as an action that leads to pornoaction, because they assume that what it does is not harmful to others, in fact what actually happens is a kind of justification, the audience gets satisfaction on the action being shown by elekton's singing, while the singer receives the money from his performance.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) to find out why the panai money in Kajang Lalang Embayya is high even though it has the kamase-mase life principle in the Kajang Lalang Embayya community in Bulukumba Regency. (2) The meaning of panai money for the Kajang Lalang Embayya community in Bulukumba Regency. This study uses a type of qualitative research which is analyzed and written descriptively. Data collection techniques were carried out using the methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the cause of the high Panai money in Kajang Lalang Embayya even though it had the kamase-mase principle of life, namely increasing market prices, long traditional processions and as a form of appreciation to women's families. The meaning of Panai money for the Kajang Lalang Embayya community is to show the social status of the community, preserve the black sarong culture and as the identity of the Kajang Lalang Embayya community.

Abstract

Ngayah tradition is rooted in religion and has a purpose, but it also instills social and environmental obligations in addition to ritual qualities, as it encourages individuals to gather and interact with each other, ngayah can be seen as a community unifying activity. The main purpose of these ngayah events is to ensure that an event, usually a religious event and especially an important event, runs successfully. There are three forms of ngayah that can be recognized in daily life in relation to its application including Ngayah meaning loyalty and commitment, Ngayah with a focus on sociocultural activities, Ngayah related to regional religion. The presence of modernization in the midst of people's lives causes major changes in all aspects of people's lives. Along with the progress of the way of life of the community itself, the ngayah system used in religious rituals by the Balinese Hindu community has also developed.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out: (1) What are the considerations of the Regional Government to make Lunjen Village a mining area. (2) What is the background of the PT Arung Bungin conflict in Lunjen Village, Buntu Batu District. (3) What is the socio-cultural impact of the conflict in the development of PT Arung Bungin in Lunjen Village, Buntu Batu District. To achieve these objectives, the researcher uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained from the results of the study were processed using descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that (1) the consideration of the local government to make Lunjen Village a mining area, the strong foundation of the local government regarding site selection due to several factors, namely the economic impact that would help Enrekang District's Original Revenue increase, open employment opportunities for local communities. (2) The background of the PT Arung Bungin conflict in Lunjen Village, Buntu Batu Subdistrict, the trigger of the conflict in Lunjen Village because the Lunjen Community considers that the entry of PT Arung Bungin in the Lunjen Village area to carry out mining exploration is not in accordance with applicable procedures. (3) The socio-cultural impact of the conflict in the development of PT Arung Bungin in Lunjen Village, Buntu Batu District, the Lunjen Village Community still adheres to the TOBANA Culture (Please help help advise advice). As a result of the construction of a mine by PT Arung Bungin which triggered conflict in the Lunjen community, the TOBANA culture in some of the Lunjen communities began to appear tenuous with each other.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how residents use their yards in Sumberjo Village, Wonomulyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency, how residents use plant products from using their yards, as well as the implications of using yards for households. This study uses qualitative data and is descriptive in nature. The data collection technique was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods involving as many as 6 informants. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Land use in the form of yards has the potential to increase income. In addition, the yard land that has been utilized has a very high economic value after being properly utilized, so that it can help the family economy. (2) One form of land use is the cultivation of various types of vegetables in Sumberjo Village, Wonomulyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency. With food crops grown by residents in every household in Sumberjo Village, these food crops can help reduce budget expenses for daily needs. (3) Utilization of yards can provide opportunities for people in Sumberjo Village, Wonomulyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency, who have quite large yards. Besides being able to increase income, it can also make the yard have high economic value.

Abstract

Andi Azis was born in Barru, South Sulawesi 19 September 1924. He had attended Europe Leger School but was not finished. Andi Azis was later taken by a Dutch Resident Assistant Resident to the Netherlands. Andi Aziz by many people is believed to be a member of the military with a good person but in the scale of military unity KNIL in South Sulawesi itself more inclined as a puppet. Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) How is the impact of marine products on the lives of fishermen on Pura Island. (2) How to use and preserve marine products on Pura Island. This study uses a type of qualitative research which is analyzed descriptively. Data collection techniques were obtained by field research through observation, interviews, and documentation methods involving 8 informants. The results of the field research show that: (1) Marine products and fishermen on Pura Island are two elements that cannot be separated, marine products have a very important role for fishermen's lives and only by utilizing marine products can the community (fishermen) survive, and be able to meet all the necessities of life. (2) In utilizing marine products as the main source of fishermen, fishermen who are on Pura Island strive to maintain and preserve marine products, every effort is made to preserve marine products so that they remain. If marine products as a source, especially for them, become extinct, the lives of fishermen will be threatened with no source of income.
