Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood where the breast organs begin to grow and develop rapidly so that they require optimal care such as breast self-examination (BSE). BSE is an early screening tool for breast cancer that can be done by a woman herself by touching and massaging around the breast, starting from adolescence with the hope that if a breast abnormality occurs, it can be treated early so that it can reduce the morbidity and mortality rate of women due to breast cancer. The purpose of this service is for students at Baiturrahim Vocational School to gain knowledge about BSE and be able to do BSE examinations themselves. Baiturrahim Vocational School was chosen as the location for community service, because it has a Nursing and Pharmacy study program and the majority (90%) are female. The results showed that 80% of Baiturrahim Vocational High School students participated in the activity with enthusiasm and appreciation and were interested in learning BSE and it is hoped that this counseling aterial can be applied to students and the surrounding community.

The disturbance in performing Poyandu routine activities in Puskesmas Bojong Menteng and face-to-face Cadre refresher during COVID-19 pandemic might reduce cadres' motivation and knowledge. A virtual education program through webinars is one of the possible solutions. This community service activity aims to analyze the effects of webinar on nutrition through zoom meeting on cadres' motivation and knowledge regarding 1) the role of cadres during the pandemic, 2) prevention of COVID-19 with balanced nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene, and physical activity and 3) introduction to Ms. Excel application in smartphone. The webinars were given in 2 days with delivering a pre- and post-test evaluation. The statistical analysis used was Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Participants were 33 Cadres. Cadres have received technical guidance to use the zoom application on their smartphone prior to the webinar schedule. The majority of cadres are in the age of 31-45 years old (45.5%) and have graduated from high school (63.6%). Result shows that the mean of Cadre’s score on knowledge and motivation had increased from 65 to 85 and 90 to 100 (p:<0.05). This concludes that webinars could be a potential way to refresh and educate Posyandu cadres during a pandemic

Complementary therapy in health care is a non-conventional treatment aimed at increasing the degree of public health. The terpi includes promotional, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts that have proven their quality of safety, and effectiveness based on research and science (Evidence Based Medicine). In complementary therapy, the therapist treats various diseases or complaints using traditional techniques and is not done by surgery and drugs or pharmaceutical products, but by utilizing various types of therapy and herbs. The use of complementary therapies in the field of midwifery must be proven safe by research. Pregnant women are a group that is recommended to take advantage of complementary therapy or medicine in dealing with perceived complaints, because complementary therapy can avoid the side effects of conventional medicine and have great control over their own health. Although traditional / complementary medicine is relatively safer, it does not mean that it does not pose a risk, therefore pregnant women must have adequate knowledge about the use of safe complementary therapies during pregnancy.Health education on complementary therapies in pregnancy is provided by extension methods when pregnant women carry out motherhood classes in the working area of Puskesmas Putri Ayu, Jambi City. This activity was carried out in conjunction with the clinical practice of students of D III Midwifery Stikes Baiturrahim Jambi.

Infants aged 0-6 months need adequate nutritional intake to support growth and development. These nutritional needs are highly dependent on breast milk (ASI). In breastfeeding mothers, problems often occur such as insufficient milk production and mothers do not understand the correct lactation management. Lactagogum and vitamin A play a role to help increase milk production. One of the fruits that contain laktagogum is young papaya, and carrots are foodstuffs that contain vitamin A. Young papaya and carrots are easily available foodstuffs. When the initial survey was conducted, most of the posyandu cadres and breastfeeding mothers in Kademangan village did not know the benefits of young papaya and carrots to help increase breast milk production for children. Community empowerment activities through posyandu are one solution to increase community knowledge in the use of young papaya and carrots to help increase production. This service activity was carried out in Kademangan Village, Jambi District outside the City, aiming to increase public knowledge in the use of young papaya and carrots to help increase breast milk production for breastfeeding mothers. The target of service is posyandu cadres (how many prang) and 30 nursing mothers. The flow of service before the activity was carried out by a pretest, then counseling and pocket books were given, followed by the practice of processing food made from young papaya and carrots, then a post test was carried out. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average score of knowledge in general before and after providing counseling to posyandu cadres and breastfeeding mothers. The average score of prior knowledge of posyandu cadres before the intervention was 7.60 increased to 9.80 and the average score of early knowledge of breastfeeding mothers was 7.60 increased to 9.86.

The highest incidence of cancer in Indonesia occurs in women: breast cancer and cervical cancer. The risk of breast cancer increases with age. Even a young age does not guarantee that it is safe from breast cancer. In basic health research, the highest number of cancer patients was Central Java, with 68,638 people with 11,511 cancer patients. Self-Breast Examination (BSE) is an integral part of every woman's breast examination. Breast self-examination is performed once a month and can be an effective screening instrument for breast lesions. The purpose of this activity is to inform breast cancer, its signs and symptoms, causes, prevention and how to detect breast cancer by means of BSE. This service activity was carried out in November 2019- January 2020, at SMA N 8 Jambi City. The target is 30 students. This activity consists of providing education using power point media, leaflets, posters and videos, as well as demonstrations using models. After education, all students can understand and be able to properly demonstrate BSE techniques. It is recommended that students routinely carry out breast self-exams every month so that they can detect early breast cancer symptoms.
