Abstract

A micro aggression is an indirect and unintentional discrimination against members, people commits micro aggression against others. This study looks into the complex interactions between microaggressions and how they affect young people's learning and academic achievement. Due to their widespread occurrence in a variety of social circumstances, microaggressions subtle and frequently inadvertent acts of bigotry or prejudice have drawn a lot of attention recently. Even though they seem harmless, microaggressions can seriously impair young people's educational experiences, making it more difficult for them to learn new things and achieve academic success. Using an analysis of the body of research, this study investigates the various ways that microaggressions occur in educational environments and the harm they cause to young people. It looks at how these small acts of discrimination lead to the building of barriers that obstruct learning and academic accomplishment by using a critical lens. Additionally, the research explores the psychological mechanisms by which microaggressions function, including how they contribute to young people's emotions of impostor syndrome, marginalization, and stereotype threat. In addition, this study explores the intersections between microaggressions and a range of social identities, including socioeconomic class, gender, color, and ethnicity. It does this to show how these encounters affect young people differently in different ways. Additionally, it looks at the structural causes of the persistence of microaggressions in educational settings and considers various approaches to lessen their impact and promote inclusive learning environments.

Abstract

Families with a mother and father who reside together with biologically related children remain a common setting for socializing school-age youngsters in our society. A much debated, but common presumption in the existing scholarship is that these nuclear families are the optimal environments for children against which the efficacy of all other types of families are measured. The objectives of my study are to understand the psychology of children behaviour, and to understand the best learning resources for behavioral changes. The need of the study is to Unique Family Dynamics, Parenting Challenges and Strategies, Impact on Child Well-being, Socialization and Peer Relationships, Socialization and Peer Relationships, Socialization and Peer Relationships. The purpose of our study is to identify risk factors and protective factors, promote mental health and well-being, improve family relations, inform policy and practice. This study delves into the intricate realm of child behaviour within the context of nuclear family structures. With the prevalent societal shift towards smaller family units, understanding the dynamics influencing children's behavioural patterns becomes imperative. This qualitative inquiry aims to elucidate the multifaceted factors that shape child behaviour in nuclear families, thereby contributing to a nuanced comprehension of familial dynamics in contemporary society. This study not only contributes to theoretical understandings of family dynamics but also offers practical implications for parents, educators, and mental health professionals. This research aims to foster supportive environments that promote positive developmental outcomes for children growing up in such familial contexts.

Abstract

This paper delves into the critical role of instructional design in cultivating thriving learning environments. It dissects two prominent pedagogical approaches:  collaborative learning and direct instruction. The paper unpacks the theoretical foundations of each method. It explores the strengths of collaborative learning (fostering critical thinking, communication, problem-solving skills through social learning theory and constructivism), highlighting its ability to cultivate deeper understanding and increased motivation among students. However, the paper acknowledges potential challenges associated with collaborative learning, including management complexities and assessment difficulties. Conversely, the paper analyzes the merits of direct instruction. It emphasizes the effectiveness of this approach in establishing a strong foundation in fundamental skills and ensuring clear, consistent instruction. However, the paper recognizes potential drawbacks of direct instruction, such as limited student engagement and a potential neglect of higher-order thinking skills.  Recognizing the influence of factors like student age, learning objectives, and subject matter, the paper underscores the importance of education managers strategically selecting the most appropriate approach. Ultimately, the paper advocates for a balanced approach that capitalizes on the strengths of both collaborative learning and direct instruction to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience, empowering students to develop essential 21st-century skills

Abstract

The Broadcasting Communication Training Program at MAN 1 Mandailing Natal adopts a service learning approach to equip students with specialized skills crucial for navigating the dynamic media and communication landscape. This paper presents the program's design, implementation, and evaluation within a service learning framework. Through a needs assessment, students' interests and baseline skills were identified, guiding the development of a curriculum encompassing public speaking, media production, scriptwriting, and digital content creation. Structured over a semester, the program integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice through weekly sessions. Initial assessments indicate significant enhancements in students' broadcasting competencies and confidence levels post-program. Participants express satisfaction with the practical components, particularly enjoying modules on media production and digital content creation. Moreover, students had opportunities to apply their skills in practical settings, such as school broadcasts and social media projects, thus bridging the gap between theory and real-world application. The positive outcomes suggest the effectiveness of the Broadcasting Communication Training Program in secondary education. Future enhancements may involve integrating advanced training modules, fostering collaborations with local media entities, and leveraging interactive technologies to enrich learning experiences. Continuous evaluation and participant feedback are integral to refining the curriculum, ensuring alignment with student needs and industry advancements.

Abstract

This community service journal explores the implementation of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to empower the local economy of Barbaran Village through the identification and development of agricultural assets. Barbaran Village, located in [specific region], is predominantly an agricultural community with abundant natural resources but faces economic challenges, including low income levels and limited market access. The ABCD methodology was employed to address these challenges by focusing on mobilizing local assets and capacities. The study followed a structured process: engaging the community to build trust and collaboration, mapping existing agricultural assets such as fertile land, traditional farming knowledge, and local crops, and developing strategies to utilize and enhance these assets for economic growth. Key initiatives included training programs to improve agricultural practices, forming cooperatives to enhance market access, and introducing sustainable farming techniques to boost productivity and environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that the ABCD approach effectively empowered the local economy. Community involvement fostered a sense of ownership and commitment, while improved agricultural practices and cooperative formation increased farmers’ skills and income levels. Sustainable farming methods not only enhanced crop yields but also preserved soil health. The ABCD methodology significantly contributed to the economic empowerment of Barbaran Village by leveraging existing agricultural assets. This approach can serve as a model for other rural communities facing similar challenges. Future efforts should focus on scaling successful initiatives and fostering broader collaborations to sustain economic growth. The study underscores the potential of asset-based strategies in driving sustainable development and improving local economies.

Abstract

People in Nagasaribu Village, North Padang Lawas District, produce traditional food and market snacks in their homes. These home industries are mainly managed by mothers (wives) to earn extra money to support their families. The community of Nagasaribu Village will definitely experience difficulties if they need additional funds for small amounts of capital because they are small producers. The focus of this community assistance was to establish a mosque-based Baitut-Tamwil savings and loan cooperative. They also conducted organizational (managerial) training as well as training on how to utilize the cooperative to provide savings and loan services based on sharia economic principles. One form of community empowerment is community service activities, which aim to foster creativity by encouraging, motivating, and increasing awareness of the potential of the community. Skills development and community economic development can be achieved through mentoring that is tailored to the needs and potential of the community. The high level of participation of participants and the achievement of activity targets are indicators of the success of this community service activity. However, one challenge that may continue to occur is the reluctance of community members participating in the mentoring program to start the business that has been taught in this activity.
