Abstract

This study looks at how new migrant nursing students at the Muhammadiyah University of Semarang adapt socially in 2025. Moving from high school to university can be tough, especially for students who are moving to a new place and have to adjust to a different social and learning environment. The research is quantitative and descriptive, and it included 67 participants. Information was gathered through a questionnaire that looked at six areas related to social adaptation. The findings show that most students have a moderate level of social adaptation. Among these areas, social interaction and support were the strongest, but emotional regulation was lower. Universities should work on improving their mentoring programs to help students adjust better in both social and academic settings.

Abstract

As agents of change, young people require the important role of education in shaping their character and behavior from an early age. The eradication of corruption cannot be carried out solely through law enforcement but also needs to be addressed through education as a preventive measure. Anti-corruption education plays a crucial role in instilling values of honesty, discipline, responsibility, and integrity from a young age. As the nation’s future successors, young people hold a strategic role as agents of transformation; therefore, the development of integrity-based character is essential. Through the strengthening of effective governance systems, continuous character education, and strict law enforcement, it is expected that a generation with integrity will emerge one that is capable of rejecting corrupt practices in order to realize a just, prosperous, and corruption-free society.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the challenges encountered by Aqidah Akhlak teachers in integrating Islamic values within the dynamics of globalization and to identify innovative strategies that can enhance both the learning process and the application of Islamic principles in contemporary education. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers face several obstacles, including the influence of global culture that often contradicts Islamic teachings, the uncontrolled spread of information, and the decline of moral values among students. However, Aqidah Akhlak teachers are able to transform these challenges into opportunities by developing creative learning approaches and employing technology prudently. With the implementation of effective strategies, Islamic education can play a vital role in shaping a generation that excels intellectually, remains spiritually grounded, and possesses strong moral integrity.

Abstract

Efficient information technology management has become a primary necessity for hospitals. One emerging solution is Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), which integrates computing, storage, and networking into a single platform. This study aims to assess the readiness of hospitals in the Bandung Raya region to adopt HCI, using the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) 2.0 and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the analytical framework. TRI 2.0 encompasses four psychological dimensions: optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity. TAM is employed to evaluate perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of the technology. The research method is quantitative, utilizing a questionnaire survey distributed to IT personnel and hospital management. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that optimism and innovativeness positively influence technology perception, while discomfort and insecurity act as psychological barriers. Positive perceptions of ease of use and usefulness further enhance readiness for HCI implementation.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transitional period between childhood and adulthood, characterized by biological and psychological growth and development. One of the signs that a girl has entered puberty is experiencing her first menstruation (menarche). The inability to maintain hygiene during menstruation can lead to risks such as reproductive tract infections, urinary tract infections, and others. Additionally, there is a connection to the risks of HIV infection, cervical cancer, and poor pregnancy outcomes. To enhance adolescents' knowledge about menstrual hygiene and protect them from health impacts, it is important to provide them with information on menstrual hygiene. This information can be delivered through innovative and engaging health education. Objective: To analyze the effect of education on the knowledge level of adolescent girls regarding personal hygiene practices during menstruation at RK Makmur Junior High School, Medan. Method: This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using the untreated control group design with dependent pretest and posttest samples. The sampling technique employed was proportionate random sampling, with a total of 73 respondents. The data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results:  The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of education on the knowledge level of adolescent girls regarding personal hygiene practices during menstruation, with a p-value of 0.00 < 0.05. conclusion: There is a significant effect of education on the knowledge level of adolescent girls regarding personal hygiene practices during menstruation at RK Makmur Junior High School, Medan, in 2024. Advice : For future research, it is recommended to conduct follow-up studies involving demonstrations using mannequins or other teaching aids to help adolescent girls better understand and accurately remember the correct actions for practicing personal hygiene during menstruation.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of various active learning strategies to enhance students’ learning motivation in elementary and Islamic elementary schools (SD/MI). The research employs a qualitative approach using literature study methods, analyzing theories, concepts, and previous research related to active learning. The discussion highlights four main strategies: Active Learning through group discussions, Learning by Doing or learning through direct practice, Game-Based Learning, and Project-Based Learning. The results of the literature review show that these strategies successfully create interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experiences for students. By engaging directly in the learning process, students demonstrate higher intrinsic motivation, self-confidence, and critical as well as collaborative thinking skills. This research emphasizes the essential role of teachers as creative facilitators in designing student-centered learning activities, making the educational process in elementary schools more effective, engaging, and inspiring.

Abstract

Background: Personal hygiene is an individual effort to maintain body cleanliness to prevent disease. Children tend to have poor personal hygiene due to a lack of knowledge and habitual clean living behavior from an early age. Increasing children’s knowledge about personal hygiene can be achieved through education using attractive media such as pop up books, which are visual and interactive, making it easier for children to understand. Research objective: To determine the effect of education using pop up book media on the level of children’s knowledge about personal hygiene at the GBKP Gelora Kasih Christian Orphanage, Sukamakmur Village, Sibolangit, in 2023. Method: This study used a Quasi-Experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design Without Control Group approach. The population consisted of 58 children, and 37 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a personal hygiene knowledge questionnaire, and data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Research results: The results showed that before education, the level of knowledge was in the good category (24.3%), fair (48.6%), and poor (27.0%). After education, it increased to good (70.3%), fair (21.6%), and poor (8.1%). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of education using pop up book media on children’s knowledge improvement regarding personal hygiene. Conclusion: There is an effect of education using pop up book media on the level of children’s knowledge about personal hygiene. Suggestion: It is recommended that orphanage staff and health workers use pop up book media as an educational tool to instill clean and healthy living habits in children.

Abstract

The modern era, characterized by globalization and digitalization, presents significant challenges to the preservation of Indonesia’s local wisdom values. The moral and social values that once served as the foundation of community life are gradually experiencing degradation and a loss of relevance. Local wisdom plays an essential role as a source of noble values that align with the principles of Pancasila as the nation’s ideological foundation and the 1945 Constitution (UUD 1945) as the constitutional basis of national governance. This study aims to analyze strategies for revitalizing local wisdom as a form of actualizing the values of Pancasila within the constitutional framework of the 1945 Constitution in the modern era. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literature study approach. The findings indicate that the revitalization of local wisdom contributes to strengthening national character, fostering social ethics, and enhancing constitutional awareness among citizens. The integration of local cultural values with the principles of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution serves as an effective strategy to preserve national identity and reinforce moral and ideological resilience amid the dynamics of globalization.

Abstract

Indonesia is a diverse nation, comprised of thousands of ethnicities and cultures, adding to the country's diversity and richness. Multiculturalism is the identity and image of the Indonesian nation, a characteristic of the country thanks to its rich local wisdom. Above all differences, Pancasila, the foundation of the state, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, the national motto, serve as a unifying force for the Indonesian people. Local wisdom is a philosophy of life, ethical values, and life strategies passed down through generations, created through the harmonious interaction of society with its natural and social environment. In terms of identity, local wisdom serves as a marker of a community's identity and distinguishes it from other cultures. Global popular culture flows primarily through social media, film, music, and the mass media. Younger generations often find it easier to adopt modern culture because it is considered more practical and in keeping with today's lifestyles.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the concept of diseases of the heart in the Qur’an through a thematic exegesis. The discussion focuses on identifying the linguistic, theological, and psychological dimensions of spiritual illness as described in selected Qur’anic verses such as Al-Baqarah [2]:10, Al-Mā’idah [5]:52, Al-Ahzāb [33]:32, and Al-Mutaffifīn [83]:14. The study adopts a qualitative descriptive method using library research, emphasizing the interpretive synthesis of classical and contemporary exegesis, including al-Ṭabarī, al-Rāzī, Ibn Kathīr, and Quraish Shihab. The findings reveal that maradh al-qalb represents not only emotional or moral corruption but also an epistemological deviation that disrupts one’s spiritual perception and ethical orientation. Furthermore, the Qur’an identifies arrogance, hypocrisy, envy, and lust as major symptoms of heart disease, all of which weaken faith and moral consciousness. The article concludes that purification of the heart (tazkiyat al-nafs) through dhikr, repentance, and adherence to divine guidance is an essential process in restoring human spiritual health and achieving qalbun salīm (a sound heart).
