Abstract

highlighting education in Bangladesh is currently attracting world attention because there is a unique phenomenon that occurs due to the process of learning activities on boats in Bangladesh. Teaching and learning activities on a boat are not done because we want to exist and deliberately steal the world's attention because conditions must force these activities to occur. Bangladesh is a country that is prone to flooding problems which can paralyze life activities including educational activities. Problems arise from many parties who question the safety of teachers and students there because learning activities are not carried out in patented buildings. Then many parties also want to know the obstacles that arise from learning activities held on boats. The aim of this research is to determine safety efforts and also the obstacles faced during the learning process. This research uses mixed research methods, namely field research and literature study. The sources for this research are the manager of learning activities on the boat, 5 teachers and 10 students from 3 schools and also several relevant previous articles which were used as reference sources. The results of this research show that there is a guarantee of safety from the management, including starting from boat design , time management, provision for teachers to master the terrain and equipping the boat with sophisticated equipment. The challenges faced include aspects of funding, climate change, limited reach, teacher training and technological infrastructure.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the learning process that is less than optimal for student learning achievement, this is due to the lack of learning models and strategies that are tailored to student learning needs. Teachers tend to use conventional learning models and lectures that make students bored faster and the learning needs of each student are not met optimally so that learning objectives do not reach the target. This research uses the Quasi Experimental method with a quantitative-based approach. The population in this study involved fourth grade students of SD Negeri Sedati Gede 2, and the sample of this study involved fourth grade students A with a total of 29 students and fourth grade students C with a total of 25 students. With the Posettest-only control research design used in two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection methods/techniques in the form of test sheets with PJBL learning models with differentiated learning strategies that are applied through classroom learning such as the daily learning process. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS version 25 with the Indipendent sample t test, it is known that the sig value. 0.000 <0.05 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning learning model with differentiated learning strategies has a significant effect on the learning achievement of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examined the correlation between homesickness and academic achievement in mathematics among secondary school students, focusing on its implications for psychological well-being. A correlational research design was employed, involving a sample of 50 secondary school students from Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State. Data were collected using Scale for Psychological Impact of Homesickness (SPIH) and the Mathematics Achievement Scale (MAS). Validity was ensured through expert consultations and Principal Component Analysis. Reliability was established with Kuder-Richardson formula 21 (K-R21) and Cronbach’s Alpha, yielding α = 0.89 for SPIH and α = 0.86 for MAS. Data were analyzed using SPSS, including non-parametric tests and normality assessments. The Spearman's rho correlation analysis revealed a significant, albeit weak, negative relationship between homesickness and academic achievement, indicating that higher levels of homesickness are associated with lower mathematics performance. Further analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test highlighted significant differences in homesickness levels and academic achievement between boarder and non-boarder students. These findings underscore the importance of addressing emotional challenges in educational settings. The study advocates for the implementation of comprehensive support systems, including counseling and resilience-building programs, to mitigate the impact of homesickness on academic performance. The results emphasize the need for schools to foster supportive environments that enhance students' psychological well-being and academic success. Future research should explore additional factors influencing this relationship to develop targeted interventions..

Abstract

Along with the development of science and technology and rapid social change, the method of understanding the Qur'an and Hadith faces increasingly complex challenges. Traditional methods that have been used so far are beginning to be questioned in their ability to answer increasingly complex and global contemporary problems. The emergence of various new schools of thought, both liberal, contextual, and progressive, increasingly enrich and at the same time complicate efforts to understand the Qur'an. The purpose of this study is to discuss the Method of Understanding the Qur'an and Hadith from Ancient Times to Modern Times. The method used is the literature study method. In this method, data collection techniques are taken from reference sources in the form of books, journals, scriptures or other sources. The results of this study explain that The Quran and Hadith are the main sources of Islamic teachings that have encouraged scholars to develop various methods of interpretation. Although the methods of interpretation differ between the classical and modern eras, the main goal remains the same: to facilitate the understanding and application of Islamic teachings and to draw closer to Allah. The classical era emphasized fiqh, linguistic, and rational interpretation, while the modern era developed scientific, social, and feminist methods of interpretation. Differences in the context of time, tradition, and human conditions have encouraged Muslim scholars to continuously adapt their interpretive approaches to remain relevant and meaningful
