Abstract

The continuous development of technology, particularly the significant advancements in the internet, has greatly facilitated human life in various aspects, including education. Social media stands out as a concrete example of the progress in information technology. Videos, blogs, websites, and images on online platforms are utilized by users and followers to create various types of content (Cahyono, 2016). Social media can have a significant impact on educational outcomes, particularly students' academic achievements. The influence exerted by social media can be both positive and negative. Positive effects of social media on academic performance include ease of learning processes, improved interaction skills with others, expanded knowledge, and the use of social media as a tool for personal development. On the other hand, negative impacts of social media on learning outcomes encompass the potential for addiction, exposure to explicit content, a tendency to become lazy in studying, and disruptions in concentration during the learning process. Therefore, it ultimately depends on the individual students' goals; if social media is used positively, it can have beneficial effects on their academic achievements

Abstract

This research aims to find out how online games influence the emotional and social development of elementary school children. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach. The targets of this research were three elementary school aged children who played online games. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation and interviews. Based on the output of interviews and observations that researchers conducted on five elementary school age children who used online games, researchers found both positive and negative influences. Positive influences include children accessing technological information easily, children knowing various implementations of using online game units, and children getting to know new vocabulary in foreign languages. The negative influences of online games on children's emotional and social development include children getting angry easily, being more aggressive, and lacking communication relationships with the people around them

Abstract

School literacy activities are one of the government programs implemented to increase student interest in learning in Indonesia. This research focuses on interest in reading and literacy culture based on the main data obtained showing that students' interest in reading at SDN Maor is still relatively low. The aim of this research is to provide students with an overview of the importance of literacy activities in increasing interest in reading. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. Data analysis uses descriptive data analysis. The results of the research stated that the literacy corner was able to increase interest in reading in grades V and VI of Maor State Elementary School. Several roles of the reading corner can increase students' interest in reading in elementary schools. This research can be concluded that reading corners really help foster students' interest in reading in class, the role of reading corners in growing students' interest in reading, namely, as a facilitator for reading places, as nearby reading material, a comfortable reading place and a reading place that attracts attention, so that from several This role helps foster interest in reading in grades V and VI students at Maor State Elementary School. Therefore, it is important to increase literacy in Indonesia for the future of the nation's future with the knowledge gained from reading

Abstract

Education is crucial, primarily for the improvement of morality and character formation. Character refers to the attitudes or traits present in every individual. The aim of this research is to understand the various characters exhibited by students at SDN Banyuajuh 3 and to describe how character development is implemented among these students. The research employs a qualitative research method, and the results of this study include:1) Character cultivation among students is carried out through the application of core values such as cooperation, discipline, responsibility, honesty, creativity, and religious values.2) Character development in students is achieved through habitual practices and real-life applications.3) Teachers employ various strategies to instill character in students, including reminders, invitations, reprimands, and setting a good example.4) Challenges in character development at SDN Banyuajuh 3 include environmental factors and family-related factors or parental influences

Abstract

This article examines the positive and negative impacts of technology use in the learning environment of elementary schools. The research highlights greater student engagement through the use of technological devices, creating a more interactive and appealing learning environment. By utilizing digital tools, teachers can present materials more dynamically, facilitate the understanding of concepts, and provide a more comprehensive learning experience. The article further emphasizes that integrating technology into the curriculum can broaden students' access to relevant and up-to-date learning resources. The utilization of educational applications, online platforms, and multimedia can help address learning challenges, enhance students' creativity, and prepare them for the digital era. However, this research also underscores the need for a balanced approach. Integrating technology with traditional teaching methods is crucial to ensuring that education continues to focus on the development of students' intellectual, social, and emotional skills. Therefore, the article emphasizes the necessity of a comprehensive and sustainable educational strategy to optimize the benefits of technology in elementary school learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the researcher’s observation which was conducted at 1 st grade, Elementary school student of Banyuajuh 6 Kamal Bangkalan, Reseacher foaund that there still student who get difficulties in following lessons well, this based on students interest in reading is still low. The focus of this researchis to find out the role of teachers in increasing students reading reading interest in Elementary School Student of Banyuajuh 6 Kamal Bangkalan and to find out the obstacles and efforts faced by teachers in increasing students interest in reading. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique is carried out through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by collecting data, reducing data and presenting data. While the validity of data is carried out by trianggulation consisting of technical trianggulation, source trianggulation and time trianggulation.The result of this research show that the teacher’s role increasing students interest in readingis carried out by reading activities at the beginning of learning literacy, studying in the library with direcht control and supervision by the class teacher, using innovative learning methodes and giving prizes/rewards to students who can read. The obstacles faced by teachers are the character of student who are difficult to talk and prefer to play in the class.

Abstract

Parenting patterns are the way parents educate, guide, discipline, and protect their children in an effort to achieve maturity in accordance with the norms that apply in society. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of parenting patterns on cyberbullying behavior. The method used in this study is quantitative with the type of research, namely correlational. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 11 Tebo in grades X, XI, and XII. The population of this study was 391 in the 2024/2025 academic year. The simple random sampling technique. The instrument in this study was a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using an IBM Statistical 29 computer and Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of data processing, the calculated r value is 0.419 while the r table value is 0.138 because the calculated r is greater than the r table (0.418>0.138) it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between parenting patterns and cyberbullying behavior at SMAN 11 Tebo

Abstract

Self-control is the ability an individual has to control himself, both in behavior, thinking, emotions and in making decisions. This research aims to determine the magnitude of the relationship between self-control and students' aggressive behavior. The method used in this research is quantitative with the type of research being correlational. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Padang class XI. The population of this study was 464 people with a sample of 215 for the 2024/2025 academic year. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this research is a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using statistical programs on the IBM Statistics 29 computer and Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of data processing, the rcount value was obtained, namely 0.407, while the rtable value was 0.138, because the rcount value was greater than the rtable value (0.407>0.138), it was concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between self-control and students' aggressive behavior.

Abstract

This research, titled "Descriptive Analysis of Factors Affecting Low Interest in Continuing Higher Education at SMKN 9 Padang," aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing the low interest of Grade XII students at SMKN 9 Padang in continuing their education to higher institutions during the 2024/2025 academic year. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, using random sampling techniques to collect data from 204 respondents. The data were gathered through questionnaires, which were validated, resulting in a total of 38 items to measure interest in continuing education and 19 items to measure the factors influencing low interest. Descriptive statistical analysis reveals that the factors affecting low interest have a mean value of 58 with a standard deviation of 7, while the interest in continuing education to higher institutions has a mean value of 56 with a standard deviation of 10. The normality test with a significance value of 0.493 > 0.05 indicates that the data are normally distributed. The linearity test also indicates a linear relationship between the independent and dependent variables with a significance value of 0.936 > 0.05. Hypothesis testing using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation reveals a significant correlation between the factors influencing low interest and the interest in continuing education to higher institutions, with a correlation coefficient of 0.628 and a significance level of < 0.001. The study concludes that factors such as economic conditions, social support, academic readiness, and perceptions of higher education significantly impact the low interest of SMKN 9 Padang students in pursuing further education. These findings are crucial for school authorities and policymakers to design interventions that can enhance students' interest in continuing their education at higher institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of fatherlessness on adolescent social development. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive correlational. The research was conducted at SMKN 3 Padang class XI. The population in this study was 464 people with a sample of 46 respondents. The sampling technique is non-random. The instrument in this research is a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using statistical programs on the computer IBM Statistics 20.0 and Microsoft Excel 2010. Based on the results of data processing, the rcount value was obtained, namely -0.509, while the rtable value was 0.290 because the rcount value was smaller than the rtable value (-0.509 <0.290), it was concluded that The impact of fatherlessness does not affect teenagers' social development.
