Abstract

Numerical integration is a method of integrating a function that produces an approximation to its exact value. Sometimes a function that has a complex shape will be very difficult to solve using analytical integration techniques with standard forms, so in this case numerical integration is needed to determine its value. There are two approaches to numerical integration, namely the Newton-Coates (equally space) and Gauss-Quadrature (unequally space) methods. One of the Newton-Coates methods that has good accuracy (smaller error) is the Romberg method, this method is obtained from Richardson's extrapolation which is applied continuously from the Simpson 1/3 method, Simpson 3/8 method, and the Boole method, so we get the Romberg method. Meanwhile, the Gauss-Quadrature method which is considered to have good accuracy is the Gauss-Legendre method, this method transforms the limit of function integration [a,b] into limit [-1,1]. To determine the integration value in Gauss-Legendre, several evaluation points (fixed points) with i=0,1,2,…,n-1 and a weighting function with i=0,1,2,…,n-1 . The more evaluation points used, the more accurate the integration results will be. In this article, we will examine the comparison of the accuracy of the numerical integration of the two methods, namely the Romberg and Gauss-Legendre methods which will be applied to solve the modified exponential function.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, geometry is divided into two parts, namely plane geometry and space geometry. The main focus in plane geometry lies on points, lines, planes, and angles. In plane geometry, Van Aubel's theorem explains the relationship between the squares built on each side of the quadrilateral. Van Aubel's theorem was first put forward by Henri Van Aubel in 1878. Van Aubel's theorem is constructed from an arbitrary quadrilateral, then a square is built on each side of an arbitrary quadrilateral, the points of intersection of the diagonals of the squares on each opposite side are connected so that two lines are the same length and intersect perpendicularly. In general, Van Aubel's theorem is constructed from any plane convex quadrilateral.

Abstract

A  fuzzy set over a set X is a function of  x to a closed interval [0,1] and is a generalization of a strict set. In other words, a strict set is aspecial case of a fuzzy set, so that the properties of a spring set can definitely be expressed as a special case of a fuzzy set. Information collection method used is the study of literature. By proving the properties of   is the anti fuzzy subgroup of group G.

Abstract

System of Linear Equations of Two Variables with substitution and elimination methods is one of the sciences studied in Linear Algebra. Systems of Linear Equations learn how to solve engineering problems and solve solutions to problems using Linear Algebra. Problems that often arise in finding solutions to systems of linear equations are usually related to terms in equations in the form of fractions. So we need the right method to solve the problem. There are two ways to solve this problem and there are also examples of its application in everyday life. The system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) is one of the main subjects taught in class VIII mathematics learning. By studying SPLDV material, students are expected to be able to: identify and associate problems in everyday life with the SPLDV concept, implement the SPLDV concept in solving related life problems, and use various ways to solve SPLDV.

Abstract

Instructional media are essential to the elementary school teaching and learning process, accommodating each student's different learning styles and abilities. This study aims to examine the development of instructional media research in elementary schools using a computational bibliometric analysis method through VOSViewer. Publication data from Google Scholar-indexed journals were collected through a search on the Publish or Perish application. A search for keywords in research titles and abstracts resulted in 211 relevant articles published in 2013-2022. The analysis showed that the number of research articles on instructional media in elementary schools increased every year. From 2013 to 2019, research on instructional media in elementary schools focused on developing media in certain grades and subjects. Whereas, between 2019 and 2020, research on instructional media in elementary schools focused on the influence of learning media, including effectiveness, learning outcomes, learning innovations, and their influence on classroom learning by teachers. In 2020-2022, research on this topic focused more on online-based learning media due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, many studies discussed the types of online instructional media in elementary schools, such as Powtoon, Android, videos, images, and interactive instructional media that can be accessed from home.

Abstract

Ptolemy's theorem, taken from the name of the Ancient Greek Philosopher Claudius Ptolemy (170 – 100 BC). Ptolemy's theorem is the relationship of 4 sides with 2 diagonals of Quadrilaterals in a circle. What is Quadrilateral? We have known Quadrilateral since elementary school. Square, rectangle, trapezoid, parallelogram, kite, rhombus are all Quadrilaterals. So Quadrilateral is a flat shape that has 4 sides. In Euclidean geometry, Ptolemy's theorem is the relationship between the four sides and two diagonals of a cyclic quadrilateral (a quadrilateral whose vertices lie on the same circle). This theorem is named after the Greek astronomer and mathematician, Ptolemy (Claudius Ptolemaeus). Ptolemy's theorem verbally can be stated as follows: "If a quadrilateral lies in a circle, the product of its diagonals is equal to the sum of the products of the pairs of opposite sides." In addition, the opposite of Ptolemy's theorem is also true, as follows: "In a quadrilateral, if the sum of the products of two pairs of opposite sides is equal to the product of the diagonals, then the quadrilateral can be described in a circle".

Abstract

The butterfly theorema was first introduced by W.G Homer in 1815 in a gentlemen’s diary. Many mathematicians make developments and variations of these theorems, for example the butterfly on circle theorema. In 1976 a mathematician named Dixon Jones made a variation on the development of the butterfly theorema on circles which was then called the double butterfly theorema on circles. In 1990 the double butterfly theorema was again discussed by a mathematician named Larry Hoehn. This theorema is called the duble butterfly theorem because the contents of this theorema, when described, form four triangles that resemble two pairs of butterfly wings.

Abstract

f separation is an axiom used to classify topological spaces based on their open set distribution. The method used in this study is to combine the premises of the axioms of separation in topological spaces so that a theorem connecting the topological spaces can be obtained. In this study, the relationship between the topological spaces is obtained, that is, every T4 space is a T3 space, every T3 space is a T2 space, every T2 space is a T1 space, but the reverse statement does not apply. It is also obtained that each metric space satisfies all the axioms of separation in the spaces T1, T2, T3, and T4. Discussion about the axioms of separation in topological spaces is still open by comparing the axioms of separation of more complex topological spaces such as Tychonoff spaces and Urysohn spaces.

Abstract

In studying mathematics, everyone must be able to think well in order to cultivate high-level reasoning abilities which are the targets of learning mathematics. Reflective thinking ability is one of the classifications of higher order thinking skills that must be mastered properly. Through this research the aim is to be able to know the classification of mathematical reflective thinking skills with bibliometric analysis. This study utilizes Harzing's Publish or Perish (POP) software with Google Scholar sources with the keywords "Mathematically Reflective Thinking" and "Mathematics Education" which have been filtered according to theme and analyzed using VOSviewer software. There are many terms in research on the ability to think reflectively, but the terms evidence and implementation are rarely used in research..
