Abstract

The presidential election is a competition for power in a constitutional manner. Elections every 5 years are a hope for better. The public chose to hope that the president could improve the situation for the better. This research uses qualitative methods with a sociological approach. Respondents were 6 candidates for election in 2024. The research results show that people tend to vote based on options that can increase their confidence through the issues presented by the candidate. It can be based on ethnicity, religion, friends or other things that can inspire voter confidence.

Abstract

In the banking world, the term bank secrecy is often an interesting topic for debate among academics, practice owners, and politicians. This is due to the curiosity of the public whether the bank is healthy or not, problematic or not, but on the other hand, the bank is unlikely to want to provide information to the public because it collides with bank secrecy as regulated in article 1 (paragraph) 28 of Law Number 10 of 1998 concerning the prevention and eradication of money laundering, which reads bank secrecy is everything related to information regarding depositors and their deposits. And Article 40 (paragraph) 1 Law Number of 1998 concerning banking. This research was conducted by examining library materials which is also known as library research.

Abstract

The dissolution of a limited liability company conditions for the dissolution of a limited liability company, The problem in this research is what the responsibilities of a limited company that is in liquidation are; what are the roles and responsibilities of the liquidator in handling PT. Sejati Beton Ambassador in liquidation; and Whether the director is personally liable if the company's assets are insufficient to pay the PT's debts. The results of the research concluded that the responsibility of a liquidated limited liability company is to carry out all liquidation implementation procedures until the liquidator's accountability report is completed; PT liquidator. DBS plays a role in liquidation by applicable laws and regulations, namely based on the PT UUPT.must be followed by liquidation, which is an action related to the settlement or disposition of all the company's assets as a result of the legal.

Abstract

The large number of students accessing the internet every year causes changes in behavior that occur during adolescence, one of which is narcissistic behavior that focuses on oneself when publishing oneself by displaying video content that is considered quite interesting. As technology develops, many digital applications emerge. The background to this research is the researcher's interest in the social phenomenon that is currently occurring, namely the use of social media TikTok among class XI students at Cimenteng Pagelaran High School. Likewise, the phenomenon of narcissistic behavior among teenagers has become commonplace. There are quite a lot of TikTok social media users at Cimenteng Pagelaran High School, TikTok social media is used as a medium to express self-confidence through video content. Therefore, researchers want to know whether the social media TikTok has a role in building self-confidence, thereby giving rise to students' narcissistic behavior. The research aims to determine the role of TikTok social media on students' narcissistic behavior. The subjects of this research consisted of 3 students who were active users of the social media TikTok in class XI Science at Cimenteng Pagelaran High School. The theoretical basis used was New Media from Pierre Levy. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection activities used were interviews and documentation. The research results show that social media has a role in shaping students' narcissistic behavior, because students who use TikTok social media become more confident because they are used to creating content that shows the special side of the informant, one of which is showing physicality and beauty.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Construction of Song MeaningImagine John Lennon's work as a Social Criticism Communication Media for John Lennon Fans at Putra Indonesia University, Cianjur". The objectives of this research include how to construct the meaning of songsImagine John Lennon's work in the semiotics of Roland Barthes and how social criticism forms in songsImagine. The theory used in this research is Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. This research uses qualitative research methods with a semiotic approach. The data collection methods used in this research include observation, interviews, documentation, literature study, online data, and data triangulation. The results of this research show that from a denotative level analysis, songsImagine tells the story of John Lennon's anxiety about what happened in the world in 1971 when the conflict between Vietnam and America occurred. Then, in the connotative level analysis, songsImagine are John Lennon's dreams for the world and wrap his idealism into the song. In the analysis at the myth level, there is an ideology that is very often mentioned by John Lennon, namely "peace". John Lennon imagined several things in these lyrics which aimed to achieve a life full of peace without conflict.

Abstract

This study explores the complex relationship between political economy and gender inequality in Pakistan. The study finds a disconnect between progressive legal measures and their successful implementation through a thorough investigation of policy papers, legislative records, and qualitative interviews. The results highlight the critical need for interventions that go beyond legal changes and have both theoretical and practical ramifications. In practical terms, the research suggests multifaceted approaches that take into account political and economic factors, question gender stereotypes, and encourage women's involvement in decision-making. Theoretically, it advances feminist political economy by highlighting the need of including social and cultural aspects in frameworks for economic policy. The main goal of policy interventions should be to establish a supportive atmosphere that promotes equality of opportunities and challenges gender conventions. In order to achieve gender equality in Pakistan, policymakers and practitioners are urged by this study to adopt a holistic plan.

Abstract

Takabonerate is one of the national parks and the third-largest atoll area in the world. The Indonesian government has designated Selayar Regency, South Sulawesi, as a tourist destination because of its charming underwater panorama, which attracts foreign tourists to visit and see hundreds of species of fish and other natural resources. The aim of this research is to analyze the protection of the Takabonerate Coral Reef through community empowerment. This study uses a qualitative approach that refers to legal norms. The study results show that several international agreements regulating the importance of communities being involved in coral reef management have been ratified by the Indonesian Government and have been implemented in several laws and regulations

Abstract

The main problem of this research is the view of Islamic law regarding the payment of iddah and mut'ah maintenance for wives who are divorced by their husbands and how religious court judges consider in determining the iddah and mut'ah maintenance of wives after divorce. This research is a type of empirical or non-doctrinal legal research. The results of this research show that Islamic law relating to iddah and mut'ah livelihoods has its legal basis in article 149 letters and b and article 151 KHI. Giving mut'ah is the implementation of Allah SWT's command. To husbands to always associate their wives with the principle of imsakum bil ma'ruf aw tasrihum bi ihhsan (maintaining the marriage bond with kindness or letting go with kindness). The judge determines the amount of iddah and mut'ah support by considering justice and propriety and adapting it to the economic capacity of the ex-husband and the basic needs of the ex-wife and children.

Abstract

This title "Sapo Adat Jojong Sipitu Ethnic Pakpak Semiotic Study". Tree from study focuses on Sapo Adat Jojong Si Pitu, with use theory semiotics by Charles Pierce. Study This use method study qualitative, that is something procedure research that produces descriptive data in the form of words, pictures, and not figures , of people or behavior that can observed . Research result This found 23 symbols found in the Sapo Adat Jojong Sipitu among them namely: Jojong Marcaban, Jojong Mbinangun, Gerga Parsulimbat and so on. Every symbol own its function and meaning separately, for example Gerga Perhembun Kumeke own function as ward off aji-aji and its meaning that is protector.

Abstract

This paper assessed the impact of insecurity on school administration, teachers’ job performance, and students’ academic performance in Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) in Nigeria. Secondary data were used in the paper. The data were collected from print and online publications. The paper established that insecurity in Nigeria affected school administration, teachers’ job performance, and students’ academics in Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) in Nigeria.  Based on these discoveries, the paper hereby recommended that the Nigerian government should develop the political will to fight all forms of insecurity in the country by addressing socio-economic problems causing insecurity across the country. All levels of government should invest in school security by providing security facilities in the schools. The government should employ competent, agile, and well-trained school security guards in all schools.
