Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge of people with hypertension about the risk factors for coronary heart disease. Methodology: The research design used is pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test design approach. The population of the study was 63 respondents. Sampling using random sampling. The sample was 39 respondents. The variables used are 2 variables, namely the independent variable with health education and the dependent variable with the level of knowledge. Data collection using a questionnaire. Statistical analysis using Wilcoxon with a significance level of 0.05. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that 22 respondents (56.41%) had insufficient knowledge before being given health education. After being given health education, 21 respondents (52.85%) had good knowledge. The p value = 0.000 ≤ α = 0.05 was obtained so that Ha was accepted. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides novelty by proving that structured health education interventions are able to increase the knowledge of hypertension sufferers about coronary heart disease, which has the potential to encourage earlier prevention at the community level.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the implementation of the Hospital Management Information System at the Radiology Installation of Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu Regional General Hospital. Methodology: This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach because it will describe the activities that occur in the implementation of the Hospital Management Information System in the Radiology Installation in the field in more depth. Main Findings: In its implementation, the Hospital Management Information System at the dr. M. Yunus Regional General Hospital including the Radiology installation has been running in accordance with the Minister of Health Regulation No. 1171/MENKES/PER/2011, however, in its implementation there are still several things that have not been implemented such as the absence of policies related to the implementation of the Management Information System at the Radiology installation, the absence of written policies related to routine meetings, inadequate networks, reporting applications that are not yet available, and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure. In addition, in its implementation there is also no reporting of indicators and written procedures related to data management. Meanwhile, in its implementation, data consistency is not a problem because the data obtained is based on patient examinations every day. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study reveals the dynamics and challenges of implementing the Hospital Management Information System in the Radiology Installation of Dr. M. Yunus Regional General Hospital, Bengkulu, which can be the basis for developing a more effective and local-appropriate information system.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between environmental sanitation and the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in the Unidad de Salud Work Area. Methodology: The study employed an analytical design using a survey method with a retrospective case-control approach. A total of 50 respondents were purposively sampled, comprising 25 Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever patients and 25 neighbors within ±10 meters who had no history of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Data collection utilized a validated questionnaire (Cronbach's α = 0.803) focusing on environmental sanitation and vector control practices. Data analysis included univariate analysis for descriptive statistics and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test at a 95% confidence level to determine significant associations between risk factors and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever incidence. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between the independent variables, namely there was a relationship between house conditions and the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (p-value = 0.023), there was a relationship between water reservoir conditions and the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (p-value = 0.010), and there was a relationship between the waste disposal system and the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (p-value = 0.005) in the Unidad de Salud Work Area. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers a comprehensive approach to identify significant environmental determinants in influencing dengue incidence, which can form the basis for developing community-based interventions to improve the effectiveness of vector control.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to see the influence of health education about reproductive health on students' level of knowledge. Methodology: The research sample used was 24 people using a convenience sampling technique. The method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Data collection used a questionnaire as a research instrument. The data analysis technique used was the Wilcoxon test. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that students' knowledge before receiving health education had an average value of 81.9%, and after receiving health education it increased to 86.3%. The results of the hypothesis test with an alpha error rate of 0.05 obtained a p value > 0.05, meaning there was no significant difference in adolescents' knowledge before and after receiving health education. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research presents a novel approach by in-depth examining the influence of health education on improving adolescents' knowledge of reproductive health using a contextual and interactive educational approach. The focus on adolescents in the digital age makes these findings crucial for developing more relevant, responsive, and sustainable school intervention strategies.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of health education using audio-visual media on mothers' knowledge about stunting in toddlers. Methodology: The research was quantitative, using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 34 mothers with toddlers in Sitardas Village. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that the average score of mothers' knowledge about stunting before health education using audio-visual media was 6.12 and after health education using audio-visual media, there was an increase in knowledge of 9.18. Based on analysis using the Wilcoxon test, a p-value of 0.000 was obtained, which means there is an effect of health education using audio-visual media on mothers' knowledge about stunting in toddlers. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research is novel in that it examines the effectiveness of audiovisual media in health education for mothers regarding stunting in toddlers. The use of interactive media provides a more engaging and understandable approach, potentially significantly increasing mothers' knowledge and becoming a more effective educational strategy at the community level.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of implementing health education with the think pair share learning model on the knowledge and attitudes of school-age children regarding vegetable consumption. Methodology: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-post test approach. A sample of 40 fourth-grade students was drawn using a total sampling technique. The independent variable was health education using the Think Pair Share model, while the dependent variables were knowledge and attitudes. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with α≤0.05. Main Findings: The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test statistical test show that health education with the think pair share learning model can influence children's knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.000). Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research lies in the application of the Think Pair Share learning model in health education to improve school-age children's knowledge and attitudes toward vegetable consumption. This approach has not been widely used in the context of child nutrition, thus providing an innovative contribution to effective and participatory health education methods.
