Abstract

Abstrac            Performance assessment is one of alternative assessment that not only assess the final outcome but also assess the processes and skills of students in solving the task. This study aimed to analyze the pre-service teachers’ ability to create and use rubrics in assess students’ performance. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. We used two scoring rubrics, to assess the pre-service teachers’s ability in designed and use their rubrics. The result are: 1) the ability of pre-service teachers in designing the assessment rubric for first meeting indicate that all subject has a good skill level, next up for the second meeting of the subject A has a very good skill level, subject B and subject D has a good skill level, while subject C has a pretty good skill level. 2) the ability of pre-service teachers in using assessment rubric for first meeting indicate that the subject A, subject C, and subject D each subject has a very good skill level, while subject B has a good skill level, next up for the second meeting of subject A, subject B, and subject D each subject has a very good skill level, while subject C has a good skill level.Keyword: Performance assessment, scoring rubric, pre-service teachers, ability to designed and used their rubrics.

Abstract

Pemberlakuan MEA menjadi wacana diberbagai media. Karena menyangkut dengan ekonomi, maka segala lini kehidupan akan terkait didalamnya termasuk dunia pendidikan. Dan pemberlakuan MEA juga akan diiringi dengan pesatnya kemajuan teknologi dan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan sehingga sangat dibutuhkan peran guru sebagai pelaksana lapangan untuk memajukan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan tersebut. Sedangkan ilmu yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan teknologi adalah matematika sehingga secara langsung guru matematika harus memiliki kompetensi yang mampu menjadikan diri dan peserta didiknya mampu menghadapi persaingan era MEA.Harus dimulai dari sekarang untuk bertindak, diantaranya memberi informasi kepada guru yang nantinya akan diteruskan kepada siswa melalui pendidikan tentang persaingan MEA yang sedang berlaku dan peningkatan kualitas kompetensi yang dimiliki guru di kota Banda Aceh. Berdasarkan survey awal yang Tim peneliti lakukan bahwa kompetensi yang dimiliki guru SMA  di Banda Aceh masih sangat minim hal ini dibuktikan secara tidak langsung dari hasil UN siswa di Aceh 2007-2014 yang rendah dari rata-rata Nasional dan hasil UKG 2015 padahal Pemerintah sudah banyak melakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di kota Banda Aceh. Dari penelitian tahun ke-I diperoleh gambaran tentang persepsi dan sikap guru matematika SMA sedeajat terhadap pemberlakuan MEA.Untuk itu tujuan penelitian tahun ke II adalah perlu mengetahui peran guru matematika terhadap pemberlakuan MEA dan kompetensi yang sudah dimiliki karena belum ada pemetaan peran guru yang jelas sehingga bisa dipakai untuk menentukan kebijakan yang tepat. Selain peran guru dalam pembelajaran untuk menghasilkan siswa yang mampu bersaing, kompetensi guru  juga harus ditingkatkan.Karena baik guru maupun siswa memiliki tanggung jawab yang lebih berat. Mereka tidak sekedar mengajar dan belajar mencapai target UN tetapi juga harus memiliki bekal untuk bersaing.

Abstract

Kecemasan matematika (mathematics anciety) merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa. Sehubungan dengan permasalahan tersebut, maka penulis melakukan penelitian terhadap siswa kelas X SMA Laboratorium Unsyiah dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecemasan matematika dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara kecemasan matematika dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket kecemasan dan tes prestasi belajar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Laboratorium Unsyiah tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sedangkan sampelnya diambil empat kelas secara acak. Pengolahan data kecemasan matematika menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata siswa berada pada level kecemasan ringan. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi Rank Spearman r = 0,013.  Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan matematika dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa setelah diterapkan model project based learning (PjBL) pada siswa SMP/MTs; 2) membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model project based learning dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan control group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pree test dan post test tentang kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan uji N-Gain dan uji-t independen. Sebagai populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 6 Banda Aceh, sedangkan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) rata-rata nilai siswa kelas eksperimen diperoleh N-Gain 0.52 pada kategori “sedang” dan berdasarkan uji paired sample t testdiperoleh thitung  ttabel atau 13.44 1.67, berarti terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa setelah diterapkan model project based learning (PjBL) terhadap siswa SMP/MTs; (2) Hasil dari pengujian dengan uji–t independen, diperoleh  dan , atau , dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning lebih baik dari pada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Understanding and problem solving of mathematical ability junior high school students is still low, it is one of the main issues in mathematics education. Therefore need approaches that can improve the ability of understanding and problem solving mathematical students', one of the learning approaches that can improve this ability is a contextual approach. This study aims to examine the differences in upgrades mathematical understanding and problem solving among students receiving contextual learning approach and students who received conventional teaching. In addition revealed the attitude of students towards learning with contextual approach. This study is a quasi-experimental research design pre-test post-test control group design. The population is all eighth grade students MTsN Beureunuen by taking samples of the two classes (class experiment with contextual approaches  and control class with conventional learning) through purposive sampling of six parallel classes available.Data collecting using a test instrument of understanding and problem solving abilities as well as a questionnaire scale student attitudes to learning with contextual approach. To see the differences between experimental group students’ with the control group used the t-test with a significance level of 0.05 after testing prerequisites are met. The results showed that an increase in the ability of understanding and solving mathematical problems students obtain contextual learning approach is better than the students who obtain conventional teaching. Based on the analysis of student attitude scale showed a positive attitude towards learning with contextual approach.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the differences in the increase in the ability to think kreatif mathematical and mathematical problem solving significant difference between students who obtain mathematical learning model STAD learning model koeperatif assisted Slide Master and students who obtain teaching with conventional approaches. This study was an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group gained learning by using learning model STAD koeperatif and gain control group of conventional learning. To get the research data used instrument in the form of creative thinking ability tests of mathematical and mathematical problem solving. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Bireuen. The study population was all students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Bireuen with sample is a class VIII student of two classes were selected purposively from the existing nine classes. The data were analyzed quantitatively. Quantitative analysis is performed against the average gain is normalized between the two sample groups using t-test. The results showed that the study of mathematics by using learning model STAD koeperatif aided Slide Master can upgrade mathematical creative thinking and problem solving mathematical kemempuan students overall. Learning mathemathics using models koeperatif STAD Slide Master aided significantly better in improving the mathematical ability of creative thinking and mathematical problem solving ability of students compared to conventional learning. Learning to use the model STAD koeperatif can be an alternative model of learning approaches that can be used in Junior High.

Abstract

AbstractThe development of education toward e-learning is an alternative to improve the quality of education as e-learning uses internet technology in learning activity with a wide range access. There are three criteria that lies on the principle of education develoment toward e-learning model according to (Rosenberg, 2001): (1) e-learning is a network with the ability to renew, to store, to distribute, and to share learning material or information, (2) the transfering of information to the user through computer using a standard internet technology, (3) focusing on the broadest view concerning learning behind the traditional learning paradigm. E-learning research on distance education, is a concept that has changed teaching and learning method in higher education institutions in Indonesia that was conducted by (Darmayanti et al, 2007). The implementation of e-learning in “Universitas Terbuka” toward online tutorial that combined with web-based supplement or web-supplemen. The research shows that learning is not ought to be done in certain time and place. But learning process can be done anytime and anywhere by utilizingng internet in e-Learning model, which is a learning that free bound to space and time, accessible anytime and anywhere. Abstract

The purpose of the mathematics learning basically to increase three aspects that are how to thinking and reasoning, to developing the ability of problem solving and to developing the ability of communication. But the fact is many students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Banda Aceh haven’t got those three aspects, especially to thinking and to solve the problem. It happens because the mathematics learning that teaches by the teacher didn’t implicate the student actively and didn’t give the chance to the student to solve the problem with some ways to solve, so the ability of creative thinking and the problem solving  of the students is not optimal. Cause of that implemented the learning which is help the student in develop the idea or the strategy and increase the activity that is the learning of the project based learning model. The purpose of this research is to knowing  the ability of creative thinking and problem solving of the student after applying project based learning model comparing with before applying project based learning model and correlation  between the ability of creative thinking and problem solving. This research is the experimental research with the research design one-group pretest-postt test group design. Population of this research is the students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Darul Ulum Banda Aceh, and the sample of this research  is the students in grade second-eight (VIII-2). Instrumental of this research consisted the test of the ability of creatively thinking and problem solving. Data Analyze does with quantitative using the t-test which is paired samples T-Test to testing the difference of the score that is got by the students before the test and after the test. The result of this research shows that the ability of the creative thinking  and problem solving of the student  after applying the project based learning model is better than before applying the project based learning model. Besides that, there is the correlation between the creative thinking abilityand problem solving of the student that is learnt through applying the project based learning. The correlation of ability of creative thinking and problem solving is in sufficient category.

Abstract

Penilaian autentik (Performance Assessment) meliputi presentasi, proyek atau investigasi, observasi, wawancara dan melihat hasil (product), yang tujuannya adalah untuk menilai kemampuan unjuk kerja siswa dalam pembelajaran materi turunan di SMA. Kinerja dalam matematika di antaranya: menjawab soal essay, mengurutkan bilangan desimal, peta konsep, membuat prediksi, membuat kesimpulan, journal response, homework reflection, self assessment, self and other evaluation, evaluating work of others, figural representation, menjelaskan solusi permasalahan, mengukur objek, dan konferensi. Penilaian kinerja melalui pemberian tugas yang dapat berupa membuat essay, cerita, puisi, laporan penelitian, projek, analisis geometri, studi kasus, book review, article review, pemodelan, mengkonstruksi objek, design, membuat perencanaan, eksperimen, survei, data recording, graphing of data, analisis data, analisis penggunaan statistik pada media, menyelesaikan real world problem, logical sequences, proposal, pembuatan peta, menentukan budget, membuat paper, poster, video, game, komik, buku dan sebagainya. Jadi, performance assessment dengan tugas yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan nyata cocok diterapkan untuk menilai dan mengembangkan komunikasi matematika siswa. Penilaian kinerja (performance assessment) merupakan solusi yang dapat ditempuh dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dan membentuk karakter siswa. Penilaian kinerja dalam penelitian ini yaitu menilai kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa pada materi turunan di SMA Negeri Kota Banda Aceh. Penerapan performance assessment ini, ada tiga tugas yang digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa, di antaranya paper, presentasi dan tes tertulis. Tugas paper dan tes tertulis digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan komunikasi tertulis dan presentasi digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan komunikasi lisan dimana setiap tugas memiliki kriteria penilaian kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa melalui ketiga tugas tersebut umumnya baik.Kata kunci: Performance assessment dan Komunikasi Matematika

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan hasil belajar,  aktivitas belajar, serta persepsi mahasiswa tentang keterkaitan matakuliah Kalkulus dengan program studi Pendidikan Fisika melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 orang mahasiswa semester I Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika tahun akademik 2009/2010. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes hasil belajar, dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep,  hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, dan persepsi mahasiswa tentang keterkaitan matakuliah Kalkulus pada program studi Fisika. Kata kunci: penguasaan konsep, kalkulus, pembelajaran kontekstual, pemecahan masalah
