Abstract

Peningkatan Prestasi belajar siswa sangat tergantung pada metode pembelajaran dan alat peraga. Dalam rangka meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi pokok Pembagian Bilangan Cacah peneliti menggunakan Media Visual. Masalah yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah. Apakah dengan menggunakan Media Visual dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas II SDNegeri. 02 pada materi pokok Pembagian Bilangan Cacah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pretasi belajar siswa pada materi pokok Pembagian Bilangan Cacah dengan menggunakan Media Visual. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut digunakan metode pengumpulan data,  analisis data, diskusi, ceramah, tanya jawab, serta Media Visual. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan menggunakan prosentase dan uji benda diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut ternyata prestasi belajar siswa dalam materi pokok Pembagian Bilangan Cacah meningkat dengan menggunakan Media Visual.Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media visual memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal dalam setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I 64,29%, siklus II 75,00%, dan siklus III 92,86%.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the mathematical communication skills and habits of mind students and obtains a description of the obstacles faced by the students in using Floyd Warshall algorithm software on shortest path subject. This study is a qualitative research-description. The samples are 4 students of  Teacher Education Mathematics Faculty Unsyiah who take courses Graph Theory on academic year 2012/2013. The subjects was choosen based on the observation who are active, less active and not active students in the learning, and also GPA more than three. The data were obtained from observations, interviews and written responses of research subjects. Mathematical communication skills of students who studied as follows, subject I has fair mathematical communication skills, subject II has very good mathematical communication skills, subjects III has  good mathematical communication skills, and subjects IV has a fair mathematical communication skills. Habits of Mind research subjects is shown as follows; Habits of mind subject I included into the fair category. Habits of Mind of subjects II included into the excellent category, whereas habits of mind of subject III included into the very good category. Last habits of mind of subjects IV included into the fair categori. The obstacles faced by students in the use of software constraints Floyd Warshall algorithm on shortest path is, 1 ) graph / digraph can not be repaired when it is processed, 2 ) do not work can not be stored, 3 ) vertices that can be used is limited, and 4 ) no distance information between one place to another, so less can be used in real life. Abstract

Geometry is a branch of mathematics that is taught with the aim that students can understand the properties and relationships between elements of geometry and can be a good problem solver. There are still many students who have difficulty learning geometry. One of the causes of students' difficulty in understanding geometry is that the learning strategies used are not in accordance with the material being taught. In addition, in geometry learning so far has not been adjusted to the level of development of students' thinking. Therefore an appropriate strategy is needed which is arranged based on the level of development of students' thinking in geometry. Van Hiele's theory-based learning is learning that is adapted to students' thinking stages, so this learning is appropriate if applied in geometry learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of geometry problem solving abilities between students taught by cooperative learning based on Van Hiele theory with conventional learning reviewed by students and based on student level. This study uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design design. The instrument used is a geometry problem solving test. The population in this study were students of class XII SMA Negeri 1 Sakti, Pidie Regency, Aceh Province, and the randomly selected sample consisted of two classes into the experimental class and the control class. The data analyzed is data N-gain problem solving ability. From the results of the data analysis, the improvement of students 'geometry problem solving abilities that obtain Van Hiele based learning is better than students who obtain conventional learning in terms of overall students and based on students' level of ability. Thus, in geometry learning it is recommended to apply learning based on Van Hiele theory so that students' geometry problem solving skills can be improved.

Abstract

Menyelesaikan ketaksamaan nilai mutlak wajib dipahami mahasiswa calon matematika karena sebagai bekal mahasiswa melaksanaan tugas pembelajaran di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketaksamaan nilai mutlak. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Unsyiah tahun akademik 2011/2012 sebagai mahasiswa calon guru matematika yang telah menempuh perkulaiahan Kalkulus I semester ganjil. Metode pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan tes pemahaman dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Dari hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketaksamaan nilai mutlak adalah kemampuan memahami konsep, sifat nilai mutlak, dan prosedur dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketaksamaan nilai mutlak.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool in giving examples directly in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of wooden house media as a medium in studying the mathematics of introductory building materials. Research subjects Class X. A-2 SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh Academic Year 2017/2018 with the number of students 24 students consists of 17 men, and 6 female students. In general, viewed from various aspects, this class is very heterogeneous. The research procedure is to carry out a research cycle that begins with planning, implementing, observing and also reflecting on the research results. The results of the research are Cycle I meeting 1 with the average value of affective aspects C, cognitive aspects 6.54 and psychomotor 6.58% this value cannot be stated classically. The 2nd meeting of the average value in the affective aspect C, cognitive aspects 6.88 and psychomotor aspects 6.79. The mastery learning value is 54.29%. Cycle II encounters the average value on the B affective aspects, cognitive aspects 7.13 and psychomotor 6.92. For the mastery learning value reached 66.7%. The second meeting of the average value on the B affective aspects, 7.38 cognitive aspects and 7.17 psychomotor aspects of learning completeness reached 79.2%.

Abstract

The ability of mathematical communication  is one of the ability that are required in the curriculum in learning mathematics in school. Weak mathematical communication skills of students is one of the problems in the learning of mathematics in high school that need to be solved . This study aims to examine the ability of mathematical communication between the students who acquire STAD model with conventional learning . This research is an experimental study with a control group study design pre-test post-test . The study population was all students of SMA Negeri 1 Tangan-tangan Class XI , while the sample taken by purposive sampling two classes is class XI IA1 as an experimental and class XI IA2  as the control class. Two kinds of instrument are used to collect the data. They are test and nontest they include the ability of mathematical communication test. While nontest consist of questionnaires of attitude scale and observation sheets. They include the ability of mathematical communication test, while nontes of questionnaires and observation sheets. To see whether the students' mathematical communication skills between gain learning STAD model is better than conventional learning group that used the t-test at the 0.05 significance level after testing prerequisites are fulfilled. Baser on the data and results of statistical tests were analyzed with Microsoft Excel 2007 to interpret students' mathematical communication skills and attitudes of students towards learning model STAD. Based on this research, it is known that: 1) The ability of mathematical communication of studend who acquire cooperative learning STAD model better than students who received conventional teaching; 2) There are differences in mathematical communication skills improvement among subgroups of low, medium and high on student learning using the model STAD so that the learning of mathematics with this model improve mathematical communication skills are not evenly for each subgroup of students. 3) Based on the analysis of attitude scale questionnaire , the students' positive attitudes towards learning mathematics with STAD model. 4) In general, the learning of mathematics by using STAD model makes the students more active in the learning time, students have much opportunity to explore his ability and help each other. 5) Barriers in implementing STAD models namely: the willingness of insufficient time, students' skills in reading comprehension and item is still low .

Abstract

Certification is the process of granting certificates to the teacher to determine the feasibility of a teacher in carrying out her/his duties as agents of school learning.  A certificate is provided to educators who have met the requirements of teacher competency test. The results for the West Aceh district showed that it had not reached the standards set by the government. These results did not demonstrate the competence of teachers for each competency. The purpose of this study was to determine the pedagogic competence and professional competence of teachers of mathematics in junior high school Johan Pahlawan sub-district of West Aceh district. Subjects in this study were 11 middle school mathematics teacher at the First State District of Johan Pahalwan West Aceh district. Data were collected through observation and tests. Data were analyzed qualitatively based on indicators of teachers' pedagogical competence and professional competence. The survey results revealed that the pedagogical competence of teachers in preparing lesson plans, implementation of learning and testing were good. Two out of 11 teachers studied had excellent pedagogical competence. In contrast, ten other teachers are still in the category of good, but the test many teachers did not answer the true with an average of fifteen questions that the answer is correct. Professional competence of teachers is still many teachers who are not able to provide answers to the questions given. However, 11 teachers were able to answer very satisfying to items (2), (3), (5), (10) and (11). As for the other as a matter of no one only four teachers who were able to answer correctly, then to question number 10 only three teachers who answered correctly but for a matter that only eight teachers who answered correctly.

Abstract

Salah satu tipe model pembelajaran kooperatif yaitu tipe group investigation (GI) yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Materi Bilangan Bulat di Kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi bilangan bulat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre Exprimental dengan desain one-shot case study dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh, sedangkan sampel diambil satu kelas yaitu kelas VII-1 yang diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t satu pihak yaitu uji pihak kanan dan taraf siqnifikan α=0,05. Hasil analisis data dan uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 4,38 dan ttabel = 1,71 berarti thitung ttabel sehingga H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI pada materi bilangan bulat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh dapat mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Siswa di kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh menunjukkan aktivitas yang baik selama pembelajaran materi bilangan bulat dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GIKata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation, Hasil Belajar, Materi Bilangan Bulat”.

Abstract

The results of students' mathematics learning are still not optimally. Low learning outcomes due to learning that implemented by teacher not yet accommodate aspects of students  intelligence’s. Teachers only focus on the logical mathematical and language intelligences. Whereas every student has another kind of intelligences with different capacities are referred as Multiple Intelligences. Multiple Intelligences should be utilized in the learning process so that students engage actively trying to achieve learning objectives so as to optimize student achievement. Therefore, teachers need to be familiarized implementing of oriented Multiple Intelligences learning. The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of Multiple Intelligences oriented learning that teachers on the of Linear Equations and Inequalities One Variable. The study also aimed to describes the activities of students during the implementation of Multiple Intelligences oriented learning on Linear Equations and Inequalities One Variable. The study included a math teacher and 24 students of class VII in SMP Negeri 16 Banda Aceh. The implementation data of learning and student activities gathered through observation. The results showed that the enforceability of Multiple Intelligences oriented learning conducted by the teacher in Equality and Linear Inequality One Variable for the first meeting is (84.2%), the third meeting is (89.47%) and the fourth meeting is (89.47%), which include on very high criteria, while the second meeting is (57.84%), include on sufficient criteria. So on the student's activity during the mathematics Multiple Intelligences oriented learning in Equality and Linear Inequality One Variable for the first meeting is (68.4%), and second is (57.89%), which includes the fairly criteria. While the third and the fourth meetings obtained respectively (89.47%), including very high criteria. The implications of this study i.e. teachers need to understand the nature of Multiple Intelligences which is an important aspect to help enable students in an effort to achieve learning objectives.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that discusses the application of contextual learning in improving students’ chievement in beam volume to 5 grade students at SDN 54 Banda Aceh. The problems were a major focus of this research is How the students’ activity, teacher’s acticity and student learning outcomes by using contextual approach to the material volume of the beam in class V SDN 54 in Banda Aceh? This study aims to determine the activity of the student, the teacher activity and student learning outcomes by uisng contextual approach to the material beams volume in class V SDN 54 in Banda Aceh. The approach used is qualitative and data analysis using percentages. Results showed activity of students has increased from the first cycle to the third cycle. It can be seen from the average score obtained in the first cycle of 3.25 (65%) in the second cycle by 3.63 (72.60%) and the third cycle of 4.38 (87.60%). The activities of teachers in the first cycle to obtain a value of 4.32 (86.40%), the second cycle by 4.63 (92.60%) and the third cycle of 4.7 (94%). Activity of students in Cycle I get the value of the average grade of 66.30 and students who completed following the learning process as many as 17 students (62.96%) of 27 students. In the second cycle, the value of the average grade achieved by the students at 71.85 and students who completed following the learning process as many as 21 students (77.78%) of the 27 students who take the learning process. While the third cycle the average value obtained by the students at 79.26 and 26 students completed (96.29%) in participating in the learning process of beams volume. Learning Outcomes students increased due to the use of contextual approach.Keywords: Contextual Approach, Beams Volume
