Abstract

The thought process is very important in learning mathematics, especially in problem solving. By knowing the thought process didwa then the teacher can design an efficient learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the thinking of students MTsN Rukoh Banda Aceh in solving the problem about the story in terms of cognitive style reflective and impulsive. This study uses a qualitative method. This research was conducted in Banda Aceh MTsN Rukoh in class VII. Sources of data obtained from observation, MFFT, tests and interviews. Examination of the validity of the data is done by triangulation of time. Data analysis was carried out through several stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the results obtained: (1) the thinking of students who styled cognitive reflective as follows: (a) the students are able to understand the problem; (b) the students have been able to make a plan or a way to solve problems and create a relationship between the known data with data asked in question; (c) the student is capable of running plans have been made, by operating the known data on the matter to the steps that have been made, and then execute the plan. Having obtained the results of the plan and then operate on the issues in question; (d) look back at what has been done or checked back in. (2) the thinking of students whose cognitive style Impulsiveness as follows: (a) the students are able to understand the problem; (b) students make settlement by relying intiusi so that the answer given was one of the students to operate on a mathematical concept; (C) the student is capable of running plans have been made, but in running student plan is still lacking precision in understanding the steps to resolve the matter in question; (d) a student can not make a conclusion on the question of.

Abstract

Fenomena yang terjadi pada Siswa kelas I SD Negeri 53 Banda Aceh adalah sebagian besar dari siswa di sekolah tersebut mengalami kendala dalam menguasai materi operasi hitung bilangan yang mengakibatkan hasil belajar mereka rendah. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas siswa, dan aktivitas guru dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi operasi hitung bilangan siswa kelas I SD Negeri 53 Banda Aceh? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas siswa, dan aktivitas guru dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi operasi hitung bilangan siswa kelas I SD Negeri 53 Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SD Negeri 53 Banda Aceh kelas I yang berjumlah27 siswa. Hasi analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai ke siklus II. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari skor rata-rata pada siklus I yang diperoleh sebesar 3,69 (73,80%) pada siklus II sebesar 4,31(86,20%) dan pada siklus II sebesar 4,69 (93,0%). Aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai ke siklus II. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari skor rata-rata pada siklus I yang diperoleh sebesar 3,25 (65%), pada siklus II sebesar 4,13 (80,26%) dan pada siklus II sebesar 4,63 (92,60%). Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dari siklus ke siklus. Pada Siklus I siswa mendapatkan nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 66,74, Siklus II, sebesar 72,96 dan siklus II, nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 83,3.

Abstract

Abstract: The 2013 curriculum has been applied at all levels of education since the academic year of 2013/2014 to increase students knowledge, especially in mathematics. However, the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in learning faced many obstacles. It became a new challenge for teachers and students in implementing the learning. The implementation of the 2013 curriculum is a benchmark of the success of education in Indonesia. It places students as the center of learning. Students are directed to be able to understand the materials and solve problems in learning independently. The research problem was ‘what are the obstacles faced by teachers and students in implementing the 2013 curriculum?’. This study aimed to determine the implementation of the 2013 curriculum and examined the constraints faced by teachers and students in implementing the 2013 curriculum. The research subjects were three senior high schools in Banda Aceh. Data concerning the implementation of the 2013 curriculum were obtained from observations, interviews, student response questionnaires and documentation. The data were analyzed using percentages. The results informed that the ability of teachers in developing learning instruments using the 2013 curriculum was good; 2) the constraints faced by teachers and learners varied; 3) teacher responses to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum were varying; 4) the responses of students to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in mathematics were positive (2.36).Keywords: Implementation of 2013 Curriculum, Mathematics Learning

Abstract

AbsractThis qualitative study was to develop realistic mathematical learning device that aims to improve the spatial geometry reasoning for Arun Lhokseumawe Junior High School students of class VIII-1 which consists of 28 students, which was implemented in April 2013. This study begins by developing learning tools that Lesson Plan (RPP), student activity sheet (LKS), Teacher Book (BG), Test Results study (THB). Once validated by the validator and otherwise well, then learning devices tested, in order to obtain the ability of the teacher to manage learning good or very good, qualified learning outcomes test validity, reliability, and sensitivity. Activities for students to learn effectively, individually complete mastery learning is above 65%, in the classical unmet mastery learning is above 85%, and student response above 80% (positive).Keywords: realistic mathematical learning, spatial geometry, and mastery learning

Abstract

Mathematical comprehension ability is a very important initial ability possessed by students in the learning process of mathematics, especially in understanding mathematics. One important goal in learning mathematics is that the material taught to students is not as memorization, but with understanding students can understand the concept of mathematical material. Mathematical understanding is one of the goals of every material delivered by the teacher, because the teacher is the student's guide to achieving the expected concept. Therefore, it is very important to develop and improve the ability of students' mathematical understanding in the process of learning mathematics. This study aims to examine the enhancement of the ability of mathematical understanding between students who obtain learning with a contextual approach and students who obtain conventional learning. This research is an experimental study using a pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study were students of class VIII MTsN 4 Pidie, Aceh in the 2018/2019 school year. Through purposive sampling, two classes were chosen in parallel, namely class VIII1 as the experimental class and VIII2 as the control class. The instrument used to collect research data is a mathematical comprehension ability test. The statistical test used is the t-test to analyze the data for increasing the ability of mathematical understanding. The results of the study showed that the improvement of students' mathematical comprehension ability who obtained contextual approach learning was better than students who received conventional learning.

Abstract

Trigonometri merupakan salah suatu materi yang harus dikuasai dalam  pelajaran matematika, penggunaannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari terutama dalam bidang mencari luas segitiga, mencari perbandingan sudut, dalam bidang fisika, kalkulus, dan lain sebagainya. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan peneliti ketika mengajar dan  hasil wawancara peneliti dengan siswa MAN Kuta Baro, terungkap bahwa materi trigonometri merupakan salah satu materi yang sulit untuk dipahami siswa. Hal ini tampak terlihat dari rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi trigonometri.dari tahun ke tahun. Supaya materi trigonometri dapat dipelajari lebih terkesan mudah dipahami oleh siswa maka sangat diperlukan penerapan suatu model pembelajaran yang bisa membuat siswa dapat berpikir lebih baik dan kreatif sehingga pembelajaran tidak lagi berpusat pada guru. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran di atas adalah pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas X  MAN Kuta Baro Aceh Besar tahun pelajaran 2010/2011 pada semester genap dengan tujuan penggunaan  pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD pada materi trigonometri dapat: 1) mencapai ketuntasan belajar, 2) mengaktifkan siswa, 3) meningkatkan respon siswa, dan 4) meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bersifat kolaboratif antara guru MAN Kuta baro. Hasil penelitian setelah 2 siklus menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan  pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD dapat: 1) mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa,2) aktifitas siswa dalam pembelajaran adalah baik, 3) respon siswa dalam mempelajari materi trigonometri dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD adalah positif, dan 4) Kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran pada materi trigonometri dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD adalah baik.

Abstract

Performance requires students to be active in working on assignments, as the evaluation is not only on the products but the skills they have. Mathematical disposition of students is vital to consider. Lack of students’ participation in the learning process can lead to low students’ performance and mathematical dispositions. The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model encourages students productive. They will work on a project whose learning activities are more interesting and tangible so that students can develop their mathematical performance and disposition. This study aimed to analyze the development of student performance in completing group and individual assignments and their mathematical disposition through the application of the PjBL model. This research applied a qualitative study describing the development of student performance and mathematical disposition. The research subjects were 30 Year 7 students from one class of SMP Negeri 3 Unggul Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar. Data collection techniques involved observation, interview and questionnaire. The research results showed that 1) students developed their performance in completing group assignments by conducting all stages of task completion; 2) students developed their performance in completing individual tasks by performing all stages of task completion; 3) the mathematical disposition of students after the learning with the PjBL model had improved, especially on indicators of interest and curiosity.

Abstract

Abstract Topik geomerti pada konsep volume bangun ruang dalam matematika SD khususnya di SD Karunadipa Palu merupakan salah satu topik yang sulit untuk dipahami siswa. Hal ini disebabkan oleh sajian bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran selama ini dilakukan guru terjadi kesenjangan dengan tahap perkembangan intelektual siswa (tahap operasi konkrit). Pada sisi lain pembelajaran yang dilakukan kurang memperhatikan aspek konstruktivis. Pembelajaran cenderung berpusat pada guru. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya rancangan strategi pembelajaran yang berorientasi konstruktivis serta memperhatikan perkembangan intelektual siswa Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi tersebut adalah strategi pembelajaran berdasarkan teori Bruner.Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SD Karunadipa Palu terhadap konsep volume bangun ruang (kubus, balok dan tabung). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan model Spiral Kemmis dan Taggart dengan prosedur sebagai berikut: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi/ evaluasi dan (4) refleksi. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari 32 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan akademik relatif rendah dan perolehan skor tes awal di bawah 60 pada kelas 5b.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemahaman siswa SD Karunadipa Palu dapat ditingkatkan dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang dirancang berdasarkan pendekatan konstruktivis (teori belajar Bruner). Temuan lain menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berkomunikasi baik lisan maupun tulisan turut mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa dalam mempelajari suatu konsep geometri.Kata Kunci: teori Bruner, pendekatan konstruktivis, konsep volume bangun ruang

Abstract

Keberhasilan suatu proses pembelajaran dapat diketahui dari tingkat penguasaan siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbantuan komputer. Pembelajaran multimedia berguna untuk menyalurkan pesan yang dapat merangsang pikiran, perasaan, perhatian, dan kemauan belajar sehingga secara sengaja proses belajar terjadi, bertujuan, dan terkendali. Integral merupakan salah satu materi penting yang harus dikuasai siswa, namun kenyataannya masih ada masalah dalam memahami materi ini. Penanggulangan masalah tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam materi integral tak tentu dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbantuan komputer di MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan model rancangan the one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar, sampel yang diambil berdasarkan asas pertimbangan adalah kelas XII IPA-3 yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes tertulis yang terdiri dari tes awal dan tes akhir. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t (uji kesamaan dua rata-rata pihak kanan) diproleh thitung = 12,78 dan titik kritis pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan derajat kebebasan (dk) = 22, diperoleh ttabel = 1,72. Karena thitung ≥ ttabel yaitu 12,78 ≥ 1,72, maka terjadi penolakan Ho. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi integral di kelas XII MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar.Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, multimedia interaktif, integral

Abstract

The purpose of mathematics learning in Permendikbud No. 59 of 2014 requires students are able to understand mathematical concepts, explain the link between concepts and apply concepts or algorithms, are flexible, accurate, efficient, and precise in troubleshooting. But the facts show the students have not been able to understand mathematical concepts well. This condition can be caused by many factors, including students' motivation in learning, models and media used by teachers during the learning process. One model of learning that is presumed to help students to improve understanding and motivation is model of discovery learning aided Macromedia Flash 8. The purpose of this study to determine the increase of understanding mathematical ability and motivation taught with discovery learning aided Macromedia Flash 8 as well as the correlations between mathematical understanding ability and motivation to learn mathematics. This study was an experimental study with pretest-posttest study design group design. The population throughout class XI student of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sigli, random sample selection is done to determine the experimental class (XI IPA3) and the control class (XI IPA6). The instrument used in this study consisted of mathematical understanding ability instrument and motivation questionnaire of study mathematics.  Based on the results of data analysis using t-test and test of product moment correlation of Pearson gained increased mathematical understanding ability and motivation to learn math through discovery learning model aided Macromedia Flash 8 is better than applying the model of discovery learning but not significant, there is a relationship between the ability of mathematical understanding and motivation through discovery learning model aided macromedia flash 8, the degree of closeness relationship is in enough category.
