Abstract

Outlook Express Aplication is an application that serves to convey work information in the form of electronic mail or e-mail whether it be text, pictures and video. The purpose of the study was to find out: use outlook, To find work, and the influence of outlook express to employee information PT Tanjung Harapan. Theoretically usefulness is to determine how much information the employee in the use of Outlook Express, while the practical usefulness is expected that all parties can determine the effect resulting from Outlook Express so that employees can take advantage of the best in the business information. Abstract

Pneumonia is a disease with a high mortality rate in children. Pneumonia is an acute respiratory infection and is a disease that is often suffered by children and remains a high cause of child mortality in Indonesia. This occurs due to the still limited knowledge of parents and the lack of medical personnel and treatment facilities, especially in certain areas. This becomes a major point causing delays in disease treatment, resulting in death in children. This research aims to develop and implement a rule-based expert system. Knowledge can assist in the process of diagnosing pneumonia in children. This expert system knowledge is a system that can solve a problem by using the mindset of an expert implemented into the system. This system is built using the forward chaining method in diagnosing pneumonia. The forward chaining method is known as data-driven reasoning because this method searches starting from data or facts that are already known as input. It also searches for appropriate rules, then decisions can be made based on the rules that have been created. The interface implementation uses a web-based system using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database, which can be accessed by the public for consultation. It is hoped that this system will assist relevant parties, especially those with limited knowledge of pneumonia. It will also help medical professionals and the government reduce the child mortality rate due to this disease.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a systematic review of the impact of ergonomic interventions on office workers' health, focusing on technology-based interventions and mental well-being. Office workers who spend long hours in front of computer screens are at high risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders, such as back pain, neck strain, and eye strain, as well as mental health issues such as stress and anxiety. While physical ergonomic interventions, such as adjusting chair, desk, and computer screen positions, have been proven effective in reducing physical complaints, this study also explores the use of advanced technologies such as wearable devices to monitor posture, break reminder apps, and virtual reality (VR) training. Furthermore, mental well-being programs that involve mindfulness and breathing relaxation techniques have been shown to reduce stress levels and improve workers' psychological well-being. The review results indicate that a combination of physical, technology-based, and mental well-being interventions has a significant impact on improving comfort, reducing physical strain, and enhancing mental health and productivity. Therefore, this study recommends that companies integrate these three aspects into their ergonomic policies to create a healthier and more productive work environment.

Abstract

Kijang, located in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province, is known as one of the main production centers of otak-otak made from fresh marine fish, playing an important role in the local economy through small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Nevertheless, its supply chain faces various challenges, such as fluctuations in supply and prices of raw materials, limited processing technology, and dependence on traditional marketing methods. This study aims to analyze the influence of supply chain management on the business performance of otak-otak SMEs in Kijang. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through structured interviews, direct observation, questionnaires, and literature review. The results show that the supply chain consists of fresh fish procurement from local fishermen, semi-traditional production processes, distribution through direct sales or retailers, and marketing via offline outlets and limited online platforms. The main problems include price increases during the off-season, inconsistent product quality, and suboptimal use of digital marketing. However, there are development opportunities through supplier diversification, modernization of production equipment, implementation of standardized quality control procedures, and integration of digital marketing systems. These strategies are expected to improve operational efficiency, maintain product quality, expand market reach, and strengthen competitiveness in both local and regional markets

Abstract

The changes in the curriculum at Center of Excellence schools have resulted in several adjustments to productive subject learning, particularly in lesson hours and subject distribution. With the merging of several subjects into a single subject, namely Basic Vocational Studies, the available time has been further reduced, which in turn causes students to require a relatively longer time to understand the material. Furthermore, with Physics being merged into the IPAS subject—which focuses more on natural, social, and economic sciences—students’ needs related to vocational or engineering fundamentals have yet to be fully met. Learning media is a tool used in the teaching and learning process that stimulates students’ interest, thinking, and attention so that learning objectives can be achieved. The use of learning media also serves to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process, making it more efficient despite the limited time available. This study aims to determine the extent to which students’ learning outcomes improve after the implementation of the Basic Trainer Electronics learning media in Basic Vocational Studies. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. In Cycle I, out of 20 students, only 3 students reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), or only 15% achieved mastery, with an average score of 55.6. In Cycle II, the number of students achieving mastery increased to 20 out of 20 students, or 100%, with the average score increasing to 78.3. The results show a comparison between Cycle I and Cycle II: in Cycle I, the average score was 55.6 with a mastery percentage of 15%, while in Cycle II, the average score increased to 78.3 and the mastery percentage rose to 100%. Based on the KKM score of 75, the improvement in Cycle II was 85%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of Basic Trainer Electronics learning media can improve the learning outcomes of XMK TDK students in the Basic Vocational Studies subject. The use of Basic Trainer Electronics learning media can be considered for future research, especially in productive subjects.

Abstract

Soybeans are a major vegetable source widely consumed by Indonesians in processed forms such as tofu. The Pak RT Bukit Lama Tofu Factory in Palembang City is a home industry that produces tofu daily. However, operational activities in this factory still do not implement effective working time standards and efficient facility layout. This has the potential to cause low productivity and increase the risk of workplace accidents. This study aims to identify the actual conditions of the production process and working hours, evaluate efficiency using Time Study, and propose layout improvements based on ergonomic principles. In addition, the 5S method approach is applied to create a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. The results of this study are expected to provide a real contribution to improving work efficiency, workforce safety, and become a reference for developing better work systems in the small and medium industry sector.

Abstract

CV Rizqi Inti Buana still conducts promotion and information dissemination through conventional media such as WhatsApp and limited business networks, resulting in a narrow information reach and making it difficult for the company to compete with competitors who have already utilized digital platforms. The company profile is also still in the form of static files, making access to information for prospective clients less effective. This study aims to design and implement a company website as a medium for digital promotion and information delivery. The method used is the waterfall system development method with modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and database-based design. The results of the study produced a system design consisting of four UML diagrams and thirteen database tables that were implemented into a company website. Testing was conducted in both a localhost environment and an online system at https://rib-batam.com/ using black-box testing, which showed that the system functions properly. The developed website helps the company expand its promotional reach and enables clients to directly access company profile and activity information more easily.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the national economy, yet they still face limitations in financial management, particularly related to sharia accounting literacy. The lack of technical understanding and dominance of normative interpretations cause sharia accounting principles to not be applied systematically in MSME financial recording practices. This research aims to deeply understand the experiences and interpretations of MSME actors regarding sharia accounting literacy in business financial management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method through in-depth interviews with MSME actors. The research results show that sharia accounting is more understood as moral and ethical business values, such as honesty and avoiding usury, rather than as a formal financial recording system. The conclusion of this research affirms the existence of a gap between values and practices, thus requiring guidance and practical sharia accounting education tailored to MSME characteristics, as well as the development of contextual mentoring models so that sharia principles can be applied sustainably in daily business activities and decision-making.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contribute significantly to the national economy, including in Batam City. Despite their importance, many MSME actors experience difficulties in distinguishing personal finances from business finances, which negatively affects the reliability of financial statements and increases the risk of non-compliance with Sharia accounting principles. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and questionnaires involving MSMEs in the food and service sectors. The findings indicate that the mixing of funds is primarily driven by low financial literacy and the absence of practical and simple financial recording guidelines. As a result, financial reports tend to be inaccurate and Sharia compliance remains low. The study concludes that separating personal and business finances is a fundamental requirement for the proper implementation of Sharia accounting. Therefore, it recommends enhancing financial literacy, providing continuous assistance, and adopting appropriate bookkeeping models to support better financial management and governance.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in Grade XI Industrial Automation 3 at SMK Negeri 1 Batam through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model in the Electropneumatic Control Systems subject. This research employed classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 41 students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed that prior to the implementation of PBL, only 10 students (24.39%) achieved mastery learning with an average score of 59. In Cycle I, the number of students who achieved mastery increased to 23 students (56.10%) with an average score of 72. In Cycle II, the number of students achieving mastery further increased to 33 students (80.49%) with an average score of 79. These findings indicate a continuous improvement in students’ learning outcomes from the pre-cycle stage to Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in the Electropneumatic Control Systems.
