Abstract

Most of the students needed help comprehending the geometry material concepts provided by the teacher. Learning media is one aspect that influences students' comprehension of geometry concepts. With the current situation, the use of the learning media such as pictures in a book or color-shaped paper does not relevant anymore. This project aims for a valid two-dimensional learning media, Pose Estimation Machine Learning (PEML), following students' characteristics and cognitive development. The developed online media facilitates visuals and allows students to move and perform motoric activities to represent the shapes. The method of the research was by using adjusted R&D steps: 1) preliminary investigation, 2) design, 3) realization, 4) test, evaluation, and revision, and 5) implementation. The participants of this study are second-grade students in a private elementary school in Central Jakarta. Data from the observation, students' worksheets, and interviews show that students were enthusiastic during the learning while they could still achieve the learning outcomes. The result indicates that PEML can be a medium for introducing two-dimensional topics.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the process of learning mathematics in hybrid learning using a problem-based learning model. Furthermore, investigate the performance of students' problem-solving abilities in hybrid learning using problem-based learning. This case study research was conducted in one of the secondary schools in Bogor, Indonesia with a total of 20 students (13-15 years old) and a sample of six students who were selected based on convenience sampling. Data were collected through participant observation and written test. Researchers carry out problem-based learning on the material of a two-variable system of linear equations. The results showed that the hybrid learning process went smoothly. Students were enthusiastic about new media of learning. However, researchers found differences in the strategies used by students at home and school. Students' problem-solving ability to understand the problem is in a good category; devising a plan has a good enough category; carrying out a plan is not good enough; looking back is still in the very poor category.

Abstract

In learning mathematics to solve problems, students must own creativity and finish independently. Creativity and study in a manner independence can be increased by applying a learning model. Study This own The aim is to conduct a literature review regarding the based learning model project to improve the ability to think creatively mathematically and self-regulated or learn from students independently. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Selected articles based on quality, suitability, and suitability content so that obtained 17 articles from google scholar journals, national and international, in the range period 2017 to the year 2023. The research results obtained: (1) the PjBL learning model in learning mathematics can improve the ability to think creatively student, (2) independence influences learning on creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the digitization of the Javanese script and its use as a learning medium with an ethnopedagogical approach. Ethnopedagogy is a learning approach that integrates culture and local values ​​in the learning process. The research method used in this study is a literature review. The results of the research show that digitizing the Javanese script can help strengthen and maintain the existence of local culture, one of which is by learning the Javanese script. In addition, learning Javanese script can help develop students' creativity and abilities in art and literature. Utilization of technology and digital media can increase the effectiveness of learning Javanese script, such as making applications or computer programs that can make it easier for students to learn Javanese script. By utilizing digital media, students can learn Javanese script in a more interactive and interesting way. An ethnopedagogical approach to learning Javanese script can also help strengthen a sense of pride in local culture and maintain cultural heritage for future generations.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the counting patterns performed by Indramayu Traditional Market Traders in buying and selling activities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling by collecting data using snowball sampling. The participants involved in this study were three traders. Data analysis in this study used qualitative analysis from Milles & Huberman, which consisted of 4 stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that Indramayu traditional market traders have used mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division operations in buying and selling activities. Besides that, this study also found that traditional traders use backward calculations (from front to back) in buying and selling their wares. The calculation method traditional trader’s use differs from that usually taught in schools. This method has become a standard pattern to make it easier for them to count. Based on these findings it implies that there are other ways of operating information activities that can be used by schools formally. In addition, teachers must be able to provide the context in everyday life, especially in buying and selling activities in traditional markets, to students so that students get a broader understanding of solving problems in arithmetic material.
