Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi oleh Perpustakaan. Era digital, perpustakaan menghadapi tantangan untuk tetap relevan dan menarik minat masyarakat. Media sosial, dengan jangkauan dan popularitasnya yang luas, menawarkan peluang besar untuk memperluas audiens dan meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam berbagai program dan layanan perpustakaan. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis konten media sosial perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial, efektif dalam menyebarkan informasi dan menarik perhatian masyarakat. Strategi promosi yang kreatif dan interaktif, seperti postingan visual menarik, cerita pengguna, dan interaksi langsung dengan followers, berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kunjungan dan pemanfaatan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media sosial merupakan alat yang vital dalam strategi promosi perpustakaan modern dan memberikan rekomendasi bagi perpustakaan lain untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan media sosial mereka.

Abstract

Perpustakaan Konvensional menghadapi tantangan besar di era digital yang terus berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang yang muncul dari transformasi perpustakaan konvensional ke dalam era digital. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik penelitian deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan staf perpustakaan, pengguna, dan ahli literasi digital, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi, rendahnya literasi digital, kebutuhan untuk adaptasi budaya kerja, serta isu keamanan dan privasi data. Di sisi lain, transformasi digital membuka peluang besar bagi perpustakaan untuk menyediakan akses informasi yang lebih luas, mengembangkan layanan inovatif, berkolaborasi dengan institusi lain, dan meningkatkan pengembangan profesional staf perpustakaan. Kesimpulannya, keberhasilan transformasi perpustakaan konvensional ke dalam era digital sangat bergantung pada kemampuan perpustakaan untuk mengatasi tantangan melalui strategi yang efektif dan inovatif. Dengan pendekatan yang proaktif dan adaptif, perpustakaan dapat tetap menjadi pusat pengetahuan dan pembelajaran yang relevan dalam masyarakat digital, memanfaatkan teknologi untuk memberikan layanan yang lebih baik dan lebih luas bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi guru terhadap peran perpustakaan sekolah dalam mendukung kurikulum. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari guru berbagai jenjang pendidikan di beberapa sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung di perpustakaan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memandang perpustakaan sebagai elemen penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran, menyediakan sumber belajar tambahan, dan meningkatkan literasi informasi siswa. Kolaborasi antara guru dan pustakawan diidentifikasi sebagai kunci dalam merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang efektif. Namun, beberapa tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, waktu yang terbatas, dan kurangnya pelatihan bagi pustakawan menjadi hambatan utama. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya investasi dalam peningkatan koleksi, fasilitas, dan pelatihan pustakawan, serta alokasi waktu yang memadai untuk pemanfaatan perpustakaan. Kesimpulannya, perpustakaan sekolah memiliki peran yang krusial dalam mendukung kurikulum dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, dengan dukungan yang tepat perpustakaan dapat menjadi pusat pembelajaran yang dinamis dan integral.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran perpustakaan dalam mendukung literasi masyarakat. Literasi, yang mencakup kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan memahami informasi, merupakan fondasi penting dalam pengembangan individu dan masyarakat. Perpustakaan sebagai institusi pendidikan informal memainkan peran krusial dalam meningkatkan literasi masyarakat melalui berbagai layanan dan program. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada beberapa perpustakaan umum di berbagai wilayah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pustakawan, pengamatan langsung, dan analisis dokumen terkait program literasi yang dijalankan oleh perpustakaan Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam mendukung literasi masyarakat melalui beberapa cara, antara lain: menyediakan akses gratis ke berbagai sumber informasi, menyelenggarakan program literasi dan pelatihan keterampilan, serta menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif untuk belajar sepanjang hayat. Selain itu, perpustakaan juga berperan dalam menjembatani kesenjangan digital dengan menyediakan akses internet dan pelatihan teknologi informasi bagi masyarakat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa perpustakaan merupakan pusat penting dalam ekosistem literasi yang mampu memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, investasi dan dukungan terhadap pengembangan perpustakaan sangat diperlukan untuk memperkuat perannya dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang literat dan berpengetahuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat baca remaja di perpustakaan umum. Dengan menggabungkan survei dan wawancara kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek yang memengaruhi minat baca remaja, termasuk ketersediaan koleksi buku, kegiatan perpustakaan, dukungan sosial, dan motivasi intrinsik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan koleksi buku yang menarik, program-program perpustakaan yang inovatif, serta dukungan sosial dari keluarga dan teman-teman memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat baca remaja. Selain itu, motivasi intrinsik individu juga memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk minat baca remaja. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa perpustakaan umum perlu mengembangkan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan minat baca remaja dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor yang telah diidentifikasi. Dengan demikian, perpustakaan dapat memainkan peran yang lebih aktif dalam mendukung pembangunan literasi di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

Fair and equal access to information is part of human rights and an important foundation for inclusive development. However, in practice, there are still significant gaps in access, especially for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly and remote communities. This research aims to examine how the principle of inclusivity is implemented in library services and examine the strategic role of library science in supporting access to information for all. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies in several public libraries, schools, and universities in Indonesia. The results showed that most libraries have started to implement inclusive principles in physical aspects, such as providing accessibility for the disabled. However, the implementation of inclusive collections and information services is still limited. Librarians play an active role as literacy facilitators and social agents, but limited training and policy support hinder their effectiveness. Structural constraints such as lack of funding and low user participation are also major challenges. The discussion points to the importance of developing a more interdisciplinary library science and libraries as social justice institutions. This research recommends the need for systemic transformation through strengthening the capacity of librarians, participation-based policies, and integrating universal design principles and user needs-based services as a foundation in realizing inclusive and sustainable libraries.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology to increase students' reading interest in university libraries. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of students and librarians directly involved in the use of AR. The results show that the application of AR in catalogs and collection promotions can attract students' attention, increase motivation to visit the library, and foster interest in exploring reading collections. Students feel more motivated because the reading experience becomes interactive and enjoyable, while librarians consider AR effective as a medium for literacy promotion. Obstacles found include limitations in technological infrastructure, user devices, and the need for librarian training. Overall, the use of AR has been proven to make a positive contribution in connecting academic literacy with digital technology, making it relevant to support library transformation in the modern era.

Abstract

The development of digital technology presents challenges for students in accessing valid information while increasing the risk of exposure to misinformation. This study aims to describe the role of libraries in improving digital literacy and their efforts to prevent misinformation among students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants include students as users of library services and librarians as service providers. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that libraries play a strategic role in supporting students' digital literacy by providing access to verified academic sources, digital literacy training, and facilitation by librarians. In terms of preventing misinformation, libraries provide education on information verification, provide valid content, and conduct information literacy campaigns. Despite challenges such as limited resources and low student participation, libraries still have opportunities to develop innovative digital services, strengthen collaboration with lecturers, and optimize digital literacy programs.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transformation of digital libraries in supporting information literacy in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The research method used is descriptive qualitative, involving 10 informants consisting of librarians, lecturers, and students as active users of digital libraries. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that digital libraries have transformed through the application of AI, such as intelligent search systems, chatbots, and automatic source recommendations. This transformation has been proven to support the improvement of user information literacy, especially in the skills of accessing, evaluating, and utilizing academic information. However, challenges that arise include limited infrastructure, resistance from some users, and the need to improve librarians' competencies in mastering AI-based technology. These findings confirm that digital libraries play a vital role in strengthening information literacy in the digital era, while also demanding a sustainable development strategy.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the relationship between principal leadership style and teacher work motivation in private schools through a literature review approach. In the context of private education, the principal's leadership style is a crucial factor in creating a supportive, collaborative, and motivating work environment. Analysis of various scientific articles indicates that transformational, democratic, and instructional leadership styles are most effective in improving teacher motivation and performance. Teachers who feel involved in decision-making and receive personal support from their leaders tend to have high intrinsic motivation, which impacts teaching quality and positive relationships with students. On the other hand, authoritarian and laissez-faire leadership styles are considered less effective and can even reduce teacher morale. The context of private schools, which often face limited resources, requires principals to be adaptive and responsive to teacher needs. This study confirms that effective leadership not only improves teacher performance but also creates a more positive and productive learning environment for students. These findings provide an important contribution to formulating leadership development policies in private education settings
