Abstract

Household financial management is a crucial aspect of maintaining family economic stability, particularly in rural areas where most residents rely on irregular income sources. Low financial literacy often leads to unplanned consumption patterns, a lack of a savings culture, and dependence on consumptive debt. Responding to this issue, a community service program was conducted in Gintung Village, Sukadiri District, Tangerang Regency, in August through a financial literacy seminar. The program aimed to equip households with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to manage their finances more effectively. The methods involved interactive seminars, group discussions, and simple financial recording simulations. Participants included household representatives such as farmers, daily laborers, small traders, and housewives. The results indicated significant improvement in participants’ understanding of financial literacy concepts, such as differentiating between needs and wants, preparing a household budget, and allocating funds for emergencies and savings. Furthermore, the program encouraged new habits within families, including recording household cash flow and discussing financial matters collectively. This practice is expected to contribute to the long-term well-being of the community. Therefore, the program serves as a practical model of financial literacy education at the community level that can be replicated in other rural areas.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the role of Qur'an teachers in addressing illiteracy of the Qur'an in Bugel Karawaci Village, Tangerang City, as well as to identify the factors affecting the effectiveness of programs aimed at combating Qur'anic illiteracy in the community. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of documentation related to religious study activities. Religious teachers employed the Iqra' method and a personal approach to tackle various learning obstacles faced by the community, especially teenagers, including a lack of self-confidence and limited access to formal education. The findings indicate that religious teachers play a vital role in fostering the community, effectively improving the ability to read the Qur'an. Internal factors such as learning motivation and external factors such as family support and socio-economic conditions significantly influence the success of the program. The conclusion of this study is that religious teachers play a crucial role in improving Quran literacy in the community. However, to achieve more optimal results, better synergy is needed between religious teachers, educational institutions, and families. This study recommends the development of more integrated and adaptive strategies for religious teachers that take into account the specific needs and conditions of the local community.

Abstract

The phenomenon of viral behavior among teenagers has become a rapidly growing social symptom in line with the development of digital technology and social media. This study aims to analyze viral behavior from the perspective of Islamic law, by examining the boundaries of ethics, sharia, and its social implications. The method used is a literature review with a normative approach, focusing on the Qur’an, Hadith, and the views of scholars. The results show that viral phenomena are not always negative but can become ongoing good deeds if directed toward virtue. Conversely, viral behavior that contains slander, gossip, pornography, or useless acts is considered an ongoing sin with harmful implications for both individuals and society. The conclusion is that Islamic law encourages Muslims, especially teenagers, to use social media wisely and maintain behavior in accordance with the principle of enjoining good and forbidding evil.

Abstract

Bullying among students is a serious phenomenon that can damage the psychological, social, and moral development of young people. Bullying not only causes trauma for victims but also disrupts the quality of education and the overall school environment. From the perspective of Islamic family law, moral values such as compassion, responsibility, and justice are important guidelines in preventing violent behavior among children and adolescents. A community service seminar held in August 2025 at SMK PUI Jatibarang Indramayu aimed to increase the younger generation's knowledge of Islamic family law and its role in addressing bullying issues. This activity used interactive lectures, group discussions, and case simulations to explain the rights and obligations of family members, the role of parents, and the application of Islamic values in social life. The results of the activity showed that Islamic family law literacy can serve as a preventive basis for students to develop noble character, respect differences, and avoid bullying behavior. The younger generation realized that acts of violence not only violate social norms and positive law but also contradict Islamic principles that uphold human dignity. With increased understanding of Islamic family law, it is hoped that a more harmonious, safe, and bullying-free educational environment will be created.
