Abstract

Tangerang City, as a multicultural urban area, faces various social challenges, including domestic violence (DV), which has serious impacts on victims and the social environment. Generation Z, as a productive age group still developing their character, has great potential as agents of domestic violence prevention if equipped with the right legal understanding. This article discusses the results of community service activities aimed at improving legal literacy regarding criminal sanctions for domestic violence among Gen Z students through interactive seminars. The activities were carried out in several high schools and vocational schools in Tangerang City and included legal material presentations, case study discussions, and role-playing simulations. The results of the activities showed a significant increase in students' understanding of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence, the types of violence regulated, and the criminal consequences for perpetrators. Participants demonstrated positive responses through active participation, courage to ask questions, and the ability to re-explain the material. In addition, students took the initiative to form "Anti-DV Students" groups in their respective schools as agents of further outreach. Community asset mapping demonstrated support from schools, student organizations, and law enforcement officials as potential partners in the program's sustainability. This article recommends the integration of social issue-based legal education into school programs and the strengthening of student networks that care about law for the sustainable prevention of domestic violence.

Abstract

The goal is to provide management education and strategies for strengthening the Hajj and Umrah business to the community, especially the younger generation, from an early age. The method of implementing the activity includes the presentation of material on the concept of Sharia-based Hajj and Umrah business management, interactive discussions, simulations of preparing simple business plans, and evaluation of participant understanding. The seminar participants numbered 60 people, consisting of teenagers, housewives, and community leaders. This activity is designed not only to increase knowledge, but also to motivate participants to be able to take advantage of business opportunities in the field of religious travel services professionally. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participant understanding. As many as 85% of participants said they had a better understanding of the basic concepts of Hajj and Umrah business management, and 70% of them expressed interest in starting a business in this sector. Participants were also able to prepare a simple business plan that includes opportunity analysis, cost estimates, and marketing strategies. This activity proves that early childhood development is important to prepare a generation of Hajj and Umrah business actors who are competent, have integrity, and comply with Sharia principles. In the future, it is hoped that there will be follow-up programs in the form of digital marketing training, Sharia financial management, and strengthening business networks so that this potential can develop sustainably.

Abstract

Orphans are a socially and psychologically vulnerable group due to the loss of their parents, who are key figures in their lives. In the Islamic context, orphans receive special attention and have rights that must be upheld by society. This article discusses the role of a religious approach in improving the quality of life of orphans, both spiritually, morally, and socially. Through religious education, moral development, and the practice of worship, orphans are guided to develop strong personalities, self-confidence, and a clear sense of direction in life. A religious approach also functions as psychological therapy, fostering optimism and resilience in the face of life's pressures. Studies show that consistent spiritual development can empower orphans to become individuals with noble character, independence, and a strong zest for life. Therefore, the integration of religious education and social support is a crucial strategy for holistically improving the lives of orphans. The lives of orphans are often characterized by limitations, both economically, socially, and psychologically. Therefore, the active role of the community and social institutions is needed to support them through a comprehensive approach. This article discusses the orphan assistance program in the RW 10 Semanan area, organized in collaboration with the Legal Aid Institute – Pikiran dan Jiwa Rakyat (LBH-PIJAR). A religious approach is prioritized as a foundation for moral and spiritual development, while material assistance is provided to support the children's well-being. This program is expected to improve the quality of life of orphans and foster social awareness in the surrounding community. Assistance for orphans is a form of social care that has a significant impact on their well-being and development.

Abstract

Sharia economic law counseling is one of the strategic efforts to enhance public understanding of their rights, particularly the rights of mothers and children. This article discusses the role of Sharia economic law counseling conducted in August 2025 at Posyandu Cempaka 4, Poris Jaya, Tangerang City, in providing education, protection, and empowerment for mothers and children in the community. The community service method employed was a participatory approach through direct counseling, interactive discussions, and continuous mentoring. The results of the program indicate an increase in participants’ understanding of the principles of Sharia economic law, including their rights in the context of family, financial planning, and child protection. Furthermore, the activity fostered awareness of the importance of mothers’ roles in managing family economics in accordance with Sharia principles, as well as protecting children’s rights in education, health, and social welfare. These findings suggest that Sharia economic law counseling not only provides theoretical understanding but also encourages changes in attitudes and practical behaviors within the community. Therefore, such counseling has great potential to empower mothers, improve the quality of child care, and strengthen the sustainable protection of children’s rights. This article concludes that the continuity of counseling programs, government support, and collaboration with relevant institutions are essential factors in reinforcing the protection of mothers’ and children’s rights through Sharia economic law at the local level.

Abstract

The geopolitical rivalry among the United States, China, and Russia in the Indo-Pacific region has intensified, particularly in the competition over strategic resources such as energy, critical minerals, maritime technology, and control of international trade routes. This dynamic poses direct implications for middle powers, including Indonesia, which occupies a pivotal position as a global maritime fulcrum. Such circumstances require Indonesia to adopt a defense doctrine that is not merely reactive to emerging threats but also proactive in fostering self-reliance and regional resilience. This article aims to analyze global leadership interactions in the Indo-Pacific context by employing transformational leadership theory (Burns, Bass), adaptive leadership (Heifetz), and military-strategic perspectives, while mapping Indonesia’s position through a SWOT analysis framework. The findings indicate that Indonesia possesses significant geopolitical strengths yet continues to face structural weaknesses, particularly in the modernization of defense systems and the self-sufficiency of its defense industry. Opportunities arise from multilateral cooperation and the development of renewable energy, whereas tangible threats stem from great-power rivalry and maritime security instability. These insights underscore the urgency of strengthening Indonesia’s defense doctrine in alignment with the Asta Cita vision, thereby safeguarding sovereignty, enhancing bargaining power, and ensuring Indonesia’s strategic role amid global rivalry.

Abstract

The development of tourism villages aimed at improving community welfare often faces challenges such as low resource capacity, poor stakeholder coordination, and inadequate facilities. Specifically in Sidomulyo Village, the existing partnerships have not had a significant impact, raising questions about their effectiveness in supporting the development of village tourism. This research aims to evaluate the partnership program in Sidomulyo Village in order to understand the root of the problems and determine the benefits and shortcomings of the partnership. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to highlight the shortcomings and weaknesses in the phenomenon of partnerships. Using the CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, product), the researcher evaluated the implementation of partnerships in the development of village tourism in Sidomulyo Village, Batu District, Batu City. The research results indicate that the lack of a shared vision in the development of tourism villages is a factor in partnership failure. Therefore, it is hoped that in the future, the parties involved in the development of tourism villages can build a shared commitment to the established vision. Therefore, future research needs to conduct similar studies in different locations to determine if partnership failures are faced with the same factors.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the endowment of Iqra’ books and the Qur’an as part of a social service program in several TPA (Islamic learning centers) and Madrasah Diniyah (Islamic schools) in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. The goal of this activity is to expand access for children to Islamic education, particularly for those with limitations in obtaining learning resources. Through a qualitative approach with direct class teaching methods, this study explores the stages of planning, implementation, and outcomes of the program. The findings show that the distribution of 30 Iqra’ books and 25 copies of the Qur’an to 20 students has positively impacted their motivation to learn, the smoothness of the Qur’an reading process, and the growth of social awareness among the community. In addition to providing material support, this activity also strengthens the role of Islamic educational institutions in shaping character and religious values from an early age.
