Abstract

Introduction: The phenomenon that occurs in society is the wrong habit of mothers in breastfeeding their babies by giving milk that is already white in color and colostrum is deliberately discarded because mothers still believe the myth that colostrum is considered not part of breast milk because the color is slightly yellowish so it is not suitable for giving to babies because it can cause abdominal pain and vomiting. Avoiding giving colostrum can make babies susceptible to allergies due to lack of immune substances and cause jaundice which can cause death in babies. Giving colostrum is identical to implementing IMD. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that nationally there has been a decrease in the provision of IMD by (48.6%), while the national target for giving IMD is by (58.2%). Methods: This type of research is correlation analytic research with a retrospective approach. The research sample was mothers who had babies aged 0-1 years as many as 138 respondents from a total population of 210 using a purposive sampling technique. Univariate test results showed that the majority of respondents had less knowledge about colostrum, as many as 117 respondents (84.8%) and the majority of respondents did not give colostrum, as many as 119 respondents (86.2%). Results: The results of the bivariate test using the Mann Whitney test obtained a p value = 0.000 <0.05, so Ho was rejected, meaning that there was a significant relationship between mother's knowledge about colostrum and giving colostrum to newborns. Conclusions: Mother's good knowledge about colostrum will have an impact on giving colostrum to newborns. it is hoped that breastfeeding mothers will provide more information about colostrum and it is hoped that the health center will provide information through health education.

Abstract

Diabetic ulcers or gangrene is a complication of diabetes mellitus resulting from angiopathy neuropathy and vascular disorders in the foot area. Gangrene wounds are caused by vascular disorders, nerves, and infection. If gangrene wounds are not handled properly and quickly, the wound will get worse. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between oxygen saturation and epithelialization in gangrene patients in the Jember area. Correlation analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of patients with gangrenous wounds consisted of 30 respondents using a quota sampling technique. The measuring tool uses oximetry and the Bates Janson Wound Assessment Tool checklist for Chi-Square (Fisher Exact) test analysis. Most of the gangrenous patients (63.3%) had normal oxygen saturation values and almost all (80.0%) of patients had epithelialized gangrene >50%. KK = 0.436 means the relationship is sufficient. The conclusion is that there is a sufficient relationship. between oxygen saturation and epithelialization in gangrene patients in the Jember area. It is suggested that this research can be developed more completely and perfectly regarding GDA examination and participating in debridement during wound care.

Methods: This research belongs to the type of quantitative research. The research design uses a correlational descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. There were 90 respondents present in the study and samples used as many as 84 respondents using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instruments used are questionnaires related to knowledge of reproductive health and Pruritus Vulvae. The questionnaire has been tested for validity and rehabilitation. Data analyzed using the Spearman test. Results: From the results of the univariate analysis showed that 45 (53,57%) respondents have high knowledge, 34 (40,48%) respondent have moderate knowledge, and respondent has low knowledge 5 (5,95%). As well as 66 (78,57%) respondents do not have Pruritus Vulvae and 18 (21,43%) respondants have pruritus vulvae. The result of bivariat analysis obtained p-value (0,012) ≤ α (0,05), that there is a relationship of knowledge of reproductive health with the occurrence of Priritus Vulvae. Conclusions: The majority of Panji high school pupils have high knowledge of reproductive health and do not experience Pruritus Vulvae. So it can be concluded that there is a correlation between the knowledge of Reproductive Health and the occurrence of pruritus vulvae in teenage daughters aged 13-15 years. KADARZI behavior plays an important role in the growth process in toddler. Method: The method in this research is quantitative correlational with an observational approach and a cross-sectional research design. The total sample was 95 respondents using cluster sampling techniques with the Slovin formula. The measurement instrument for this research uses a questionnaire, then assesses stunting in toddlers using microtoise measurements and converts it into a standardized value (Zscore) using the WHO- 2005 anthropometric standards for toddlers. Statistical analysis uses Chi Square with significance <0.05. Results: The results of this study show that the majority of respondents do not behave as stunted, 67 (70.5%) respondents, and the majority of respondents experience stunting, 65 (68.4%) respondents. The results of the Contingency Coofficient statistical test show that the Approximate Significance value= 0.000 so there is a significant relationship between KADARZI behavior and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 6-59 months. Discussion: It is hoped that mothers who have toddlers can apply the 5 indicators of KADARZI Keywords: KADARZI behavior, Stunting, Toddlers

Abstract

Abstract Introduction: Managing diabetes is complex and demands daily responsibilities like regular blood glucose testing, intensive insulin treatment, careful dietary monitoring, and enhanced physical activity. These challenges make it difficult for children and their families to maintain consistent adherence to diabetes management routines. Failure to adhere to diabetes management can lead to serious complications and may even result in death. Identifying the factors that hinder treatment adherence is essential for developing effective strategies and interventions to overcome these obstacles and improve diabetes management in children. This study aimed to identify barriers on diabetes management adherence in children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: The research design used a systematic review following the PRISMA guidelines and utilized five databases including Proquest, Science Direct, Springer Link, Sage Journals, and Google Scholar with the keywords: “Barriers” OR “Challenges” OR “Difficulties” AND “Diabetes management” AND “Adherence” AND “Children” AND “Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus”. A total of eight articles were reviewed based on the inclusion criteria. The JBI Critical Appraisal Tools were also used as a guideline to evaluate the quality of the articles. Results: This review identifies various barriers to adherence in diabetes management in children with T1DM, including personal, sociocultural, interpersonal, environmental, and financial barriers. Conclusions: The findings from this review suggest several strategies to address barriers to diabetes management adherence involving parents, family, school, and health services. Keywords: Barriers, diabetes management, children, type 1 diabetes mellitus

The nicotine in cigarettes makes teenagers addicted to it, which affects their thoughts and behaviors and leads to smoking dependence. This research aims to analyze the relationship between stress levels and smoking dependence in teenagers. Methods: This research was a quantitative research using a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this research were X and XI grade students who smoked with a sample size of 45 respondents. The instrument in this research used a questionnaire. Univariate analysis using frequency distribution and percentage, bivariate analysis using the Spearman Rank test. Results: The percentage of stress levels was (40.0%) detected to experience mild stress and (48.9%) detected to have moderate smoking dependence. From the spearmen rank analysis, the p-value (0.000) < α (0.05) with contingency coefficient value is 0.526, meaning that there is a strong relationship between stress levels and smoking dependence. Conclusions : Smoking dependence in teenagers can be reduced by reducing stress levels in teenagers so that teenagers are expected to manage stress well so as not to increase smoking dependence in teenagers.
