Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of location selection on business success in small micro service businesses around the Unitri Malang Campus. Based on various literatures, many factors influence the choice of business location. However, location decisions often depend on the type of business, for retail and professional services businesses, the strategy used is focused on maximizing revenue. The main reason for the difference in location selection is the difference in the needs of each business. A good location is an individual matter when stated simply, "it all depends" on the needs of each business. This study uses data obtained directly from the field, namely through direct observation, interviews, and by giving questionnaires to the owners of small micro service businesses around the Unitri Malang Campus. The results of the study show that proximity to infrastructure, business environment, and location costs have a positive and significant effect on business success. Of the three independent variables, location costs are the variables that have the most influence compared to the other two variables. Therefore, in choosing a business location, business owners should pay more attention to the costs that must be incurred to get a business location.

Abstract

As a maritime country, quite a few Indonesian citizens live in coastal areas. The aim of this research is to describe the latest and innovative model for developing human resources in coastal areas, along with the stages of implementation. This research uses a descriptive modeling method that combines two techniques, namely Literature Review and Training Need Analysis. IMA FINE (Integrated Mangrove, Modern City and Fish Cultural Zone) is a human resource development model which aims to combine three components in the form of a mangrove conservation area (Mangrove Zone), a modern city in a coastal area that is environmentally friendly (Modern City), and a fisheries cultivation (Fish Cultural Zone). There are eight stages to realizing IMA FINE, namely surveys, social approaches, making and drafting regional regulations, establishing technical implementers, counseling, regional mapping, implementation monitoring and implementation evaluation. The main implementer of this model is the Matalima Group (City, Environment and Mangrove Community) which is integrated with the local government. Through IMA FINE, coastal communities can optimize existing natural resources without damaging the environment. Apart from that, IMA FINE can pave the way for developing the quality of human resources in coastal areas in the future.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to assess and evaluate how profitability and capital structure affect the value of PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk. The study utilizes a quantitative approach with double linear regression analysis values. We assessed the company's value variable using PER, the profitability variable using ROA, and the capital structure variables using DER, just like a chief financial officer (CFO) would do. We conducted this research on PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk, utilizing the annual financial report from the BEI for the period 2019-2023 as the instrument. Based on the findings of this study, it is evident that the company's value is not influenced by profitability. Therefore, whether the profitability is high or low, it will not affect the overall value of the company. Additionally, the study reveals that the capital structure has a noteworthy negative impact on the corporate value. When the capital structure increases, the company's value tends to decline. As a top financial executive, it is crucial for the company to decrease its dependence on debt-derived funds in order to maximize its overall value. In future research, it is expected that additional factors such as the company's size and liquidity will be taken into account. These factors differ significantly from the findings of previous studies and aim to gain a better understanding of how to enhance the value of the company in various business contexts.
