Abstract

ABSTRACT. The purpose of this stady is not indentifiying the cluster and economic strategic development cluster for economic growth supported at Aceh Tengah residence. The study conducted in the Aceh Tengah residence using direct primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection was based of observasing through the objective of stady. Secondary data was taken from literature study and the data from similar institution like Dinas Badan Pusat Statistik Aceh Tengah which has correlation with this study. Analysis that used in this study is the analysis that using Location Quotient (LQ) technical and SWOT analysis. The result of this study show based on Location Quotient (LQ) analysis tekhnical, could identified the comodities that has value LQ1 showed production Existing Condition and Coffe Development Potencial in Linge district, Atu Lintang, Jagong Jeget, Bintang, Lut Tawar, Kebayakan, Pegasing, Bies, Bebesan, Kute Pinang, Silih Nara, Celala, Rusip Antara, while sugar cane just in Ketol District as a strategic comodities for advance development at Aceh Tengah residence. Meanwhile the strategic position of coffee and sugar cane investors placed at aggressive strategic position which supported investors policy, this strategy could be used if the investors has chances and strengths until they could used it coith the strengtht they have, bicause both of it has different value that cunted as positive such about 1,34 and 1,31.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. System of agro-industry in Aceh still rests on the upstream industry prime commodity-based plantation. In the case of agro-industry very decisive contribution to the plantation subsector in Aceh Timur GDP. This research use simulations to support export by Kuala Langsa Port. The analysis showed that several centers of raw materials production is very sensitive to a decrease in productivity of commodity areas. Based on the performance of the agro-industry coefficients for each commodity, the biggest are: animal feed industrial, cocoa and spices industry. While the industry as cocoa, coconut, turmeric and cloves are relatively small, but still larger than one. Therefore, agro-industrial system capable of providing added value to the trading system still relies on the east coast region of Aceh, Kuala Langsa ports should be developed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. North Aceh Regency is an area which has great potential in fishery sector. Training for the fishery sector holds an important role in developing fishery sector in an area. The fishery trainers are expected to gain knowledge, skills, as well as better attitudes of the fishermen and fish farmers. The objective of this study is to discover the role as well as the effectiveness of fishery trainers in developing fishery sector in North Aceh Regency. Based on the result of the analysis using FGD method, it can be concluded that fishery trainers have the role in delivering fishery information, distributing fishery production facilities, and processing and marketing the fishery products. This training which was participated by fishermen and fish farmers with great enthusiasm is effective in developing fishery sector in North Aceh Regency. It can be seen from the improvement of the ability of the fishermen and fish farmers who participated in the training and theirability to implement innovations derived from the training activities.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Arabica coffee grown in the Gayo Highlands, which includes Central Aceh, Bener Meriah and Gayo Lues district. The impact of climate change, affect the aspects related to the cultivation of coffee. The research objective is to determine the productivity, quality of results and arabica coffee farmers' income from various types kentianggian arabica coffee cultivation. The study was conducted in an area with a height difference of 1000-1200, 1200-1400, and 1400-1600 m above sea level. Coverage of further research is the analysis of the aspects that affect production, quality of results, and the income of farmers. Data collected by purposive sampling technique. Primary data were gathered through observation, interviews and focus group discussions.The results were obtained, Productivity arabica coffee ranged between 250-750 kg / ha / year. The regression analysis shows, production, altitude, farmers' income, the number of stems, soil conservation, crop care, harvesting patterns, treatment outcome, drying, storage, fruit production, pest and disease control and land a positive effect. Coffee quality of areas, production of the shade management, negative effect.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Agriculture is a leading sector in Aceh economy, showed by the large number of people who work in agricultural areas. This sector contribute the high number of gross domestic product (GDP) to Aceh Province. The problems appear when the growth of community do not followed by the growth of employment. This will cause the increasing of unemployment rate in Aceh Province.This study analyzed the development of agricultural employment and labor productivity in Aceh Province. The analysis was also conducted to calculate the influence of employment to GDP in agricultural sector. Time series data were used from 2003 to 2012 with a simple linear regression method.The results showed the significantly decreasing of agricultural employment by 16.635 people per year and the increasing of agricultural labor productivity by IDR 11.699.353/ year. The employment has a significant influence to GDP in agricultural sector but it has a negative relationship. The additional increasing of employment will decrease the GDP by IDR 1.255.000 per year. It means that the increasing of labour should be balanced and followed by another production factors to increase the total output of agricultural sector in Aceh Province.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. One way to improve the productivity of smallholder plantations are mainly located in dry land is the cropping pattern of intercropping. Intercropping ensure the success of planting face uncertain climate, pests and disease, as well as price fluctuation. The purpose of this research was to determine differences in the income of farmers and land productivity in defferent cacao intercropping planting patterns on cocoa farms in the district Geulumpang Tiga. Sample in this study is 52 people were taken by Proportioned Statified Random Sampling. The method used is the analysis of profitability and productivity of cocoa plantations. Based on the analysis results obtained that the cropping pattern V has the highest income in the amount of Rp 9.508.511 per hectare per year. While the productivity of cacao plantations are highest in the cropping pattern V in the amount of 427 kg/ha/year.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Aceh province is a potential area of agricultural resources. This resource is the main livelihood in rural communities. The low income of farmers and resulted in the inability of agricultural management resulted in the magnitude of the farming community who are in poverty. This study aims to provide models of agribusiness development to reduction of poverty in Aceh. The results of review provide an indication of the factors that support poverty in the farming community is the lack of tried ability and creativity, lack of education and skills and lack of access to capital and land availability. Measures to reduce poverty in the agricultural sector can be done with agribusiness development upstream-downstream, to strengthen the partnership of farmers and groups, partnership groups and entrepreneurs (market access), improving skills match the needs and based on local resources, create and develop regional integrated agribusiness based on local resources.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Labor is one of the most important production factors in supporting economic growth in addition to the factors of production land, capital and management / skill. Aceh is one of province in Indonesia, which has a larger population and some people made their living in the agricultural sector. The agricultural sector in Aceh were able to absorb labor is relatively larger than the other sectors, the contribution of the agricultural sector in Aceh not only in employment but also to PDRB.This study aimed to analyze the factors that affect the demand and supply of labor in the agricultural sector in the province of Aceh. On the demand equation factors analyzed are land, labor, and agricultural investment. On the supply equation factors analyzed were quality of population, wage labor in agriculture and unemployment in rural. The results of labor demand analysis, show that the variable land and agricultural sector investment gave positive effect and significance on labor demand, and labor variable agricultural sector gave a negative effect but no significant on labor demand. The results of labor supply analysis show that variable labor in agriculture and unemployment in rural gave positive effect and a significant influence on labor supply, while a quality of residents variable gave a positive influence but not significant on labor supply.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This research was conducted at the betel palm farming in Sawang subdistrict, North Aceh from May to July 2014. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect betel palm farming income at Sawang subdistrict in North Aceh district of Aceh Province.This study uses primary data to be analyzed. Determination of the sample villages determined by purposive sampling, while the selection of sample units was done by using simple random sampling. The analytical method used is the method of multiple linear regression analysis. The analysis showed that the amount of capital production and the selling price very significant influence on betel palm farming income Sawang subdistrict in North Aceh district of Aceh province.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the production of the agricultural sector in the Aceh province. Furthermore, these factors can determine the level of production growth in the agricultural sector in the GDP of Aceh can be analyzed properly. The data used in this research is secondary data are time series from 1985 to 2013. The analysis model used is multiple linear regression model (multiple regression) were estimated by Ordinary Least Square method (OLS). The results showed that the variable labor, Domestic Investment (DCI), and the land area and a significant positive effect on the production of the agricultural sector in Aceh province. Based on these results, it is suggested to the government in order to maintain the stability of the economy in the Aceh province to implement a policy that is relevant. Thus, factors that affect for agricultural production growth in GDP at Aceh province could be optimized.
