Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of make a match learning model can improve students' understanding in the material set.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were the students of class VII A SMPN 2 Kalimanggis District Kuningan academic year 2016/2017. The study was conducted collaboratively between researchers, observers, and subjects studied. Implementation of this research is done in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. This classroom action research process is conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of four main actions: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The end of each cycle is tested using question instrument. The test used is a description test performed at the end of cycle I and cycle II. Besides as an evaluation tool, this test is conducted to know the students' understanding. Data processing techniques student learning outcomes are performing tests, collecting test results, correcting test results, scoring the acquisition of test results, determining the value of test results and determining the average value.The results showed that the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle to get the value of 75 and the second cycle of the average value of learning outcomes increased to obtain the value 87. Similarly, the results of student activity observations showed an increase. In the first cycle of participation and activity of students is 60% and in the second cycle of participation and student activity increased to 80%, so most of the participation and activities of students categorized well. While the results of teacher performance observation obtained the value of implementation aspects of observations in the first cycle of 80% and in the second cycle managed 100%. This study concludes that make a match learning model can improve students' comprehension ability in Mathematics subject in the material set.

Abstract

The Ability To Solve need to be improved, therefore learning must be interesting and fud. One day to improve student,s ability is through The Formation of Study Group Based On Sociometry. The research aims to know the learning process, improve the ability, and influence The Formation of Study Group Based On Sociometry in Solve stories In Mathematics. This research is Classroom Action Research. This subject in this research is the students of grade eight F SMPN 4 Kuningan. Semester II schools year 2016/2017. The sum of the student geometry grade eight Fare thirty-six students. This research is collaborative between researcher, headmaster and subject teacher. Data were collected through observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is checked by triangulation. The data were analyzed descriptively, qualitative flow model. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the ability of children through The Formation of Study Group Based On Sosiometry. Namely the improvement of student,s skill in solving the story of cycle I as big 80.00 %. The improvement of student,s skill in solving the story of cycle II as big 90.32 %. And the improvement of student,s skill in solving the story of cycle III as big 97.22 %. The conclusion of this study is The Formation of Study Group Based On Sociometry can improve the ability to solve math story problems

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities of students who take part in learning through the REACT strategy. The research method chosen was quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. In this experimental design there were two groups of samples, the pretest, the different treatments, and the presence of posttest. The data obtained during the study were analyzed using SPSS 19 software to obtain a conclusion. After analyzing the data, it was concluded that an increase in students 'mathematical problem solving abilities whose learning through the REACT strategy was better than the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in conventional learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of learning Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Assisted by GeoGebra Software for communication capabilities mathematically students in Geometry transformation material. The population in this study is a class XI student of SMK 3 Kuningan academic year 2013/2014. Election The sample was purposed random sampling, in the selection of samples obtained XI-TSM 2 students as the experimental class and XI-TSM 4 class as the control class. The experimental class is taught by learning Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Assisted by GeoGebra Software, while the control class is taught with expository learning. Data retrieval was obtained by the results of the pretest and posttest to obtain data on the value of spatial abilities and mathematical communication skills of students which were then analyzed by a mean difference test. The results of the study were: (1) Improved mathematical communication skills of the experimental class students better than the control class. Abstract

Discrete mathematics is one of the basic theories that supports computer science. Meanwhile, students of the Faculty of Computer Science generally still think that discrete mathematics is a parallelized subject of computer science, so that the majority of students' mathematical problem solving abilities have not optimal. To change this reality, we need an innovation in lectures, one of which is to apply problem-based learning. This study aims to find out whether the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who get based learning different problems with students who get conventional learning. The population in this study were students of the Information Systems study program at Indonesia, which is of the same level as the Faculty Information System study program University of Subang Computer Science when viewed from the value of BAN-PT accreditation, and The sample in this study were students of the Information Systems study program The Faculty of Computer Science, University of Subang, which took the Mathematics course Discrete (compulsory courses given in semester II). This research was conducted of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Group the experiment is a group of students who get based learning problem while the control group is a group of students who are taught with conventional learning. The research design is in the form of a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Research data was collected through tests. Abstract

This study used experimental design, and chose a research design in the form of pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were students Middle School, with the research sample being students of SMP Negeri 1 Kabupaten Kuningan which consists of two classes taken randomly. To obtain data research procedures are needed through three main stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation phase in the class and the data analysis stage. After the data collected, the data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. From the results of data analysis and The discussion concluded that (1) the quality of the ability of mathematical comprehension of junior high school students increases after students take mathematics learning using the SQ4R technique and the copsep map, (2) the problem solving abilities of junior high school students increase after students take mathematics learning using SQ4R techniques and concept maps, (3) there are significant differences in understanding abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities between students in mathematics learning using the SQ4R technique and concept maps with students in mathematical learning in the usual way; the ability of students in mathematics learning uses SQ4R techniques and concept maps are better than students who are deep mathematical learning in the usual way, (4) student attitudes support learning mathematics with SQ4R techniques and concept maps, and (5) teachers provide positive responses to mathematics learning using SQ4R techniques and concept maps

Abstract

RIKA ROSTIKA. NIM 123223013. Mathematics Learning With Models Learning Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation (ADPIE) Into Improving Ability Students Understanding Math Concepts. Paper, Kuningan: Mathematics Education Program, Muhammadiyah STKIP Kuningan, 2016. This study aims to determine whether there are positive implications between or not students understanding of mathematical concepts with models learning Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation (ADPIE. The hypothesis of this study is, “the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts than students using learning models Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation better understanding of mathematical concept than student using conventional learning”. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Lebakwangi in the second semester of academic year 2015/2016. The selection of a simple random sample is taken to determine the experimental class and the control class. The sample used in eksperimental class as many as 30 students and as many as 29 control class students. Instrument to determine the understanding of mathematical concept by using a test essay, while to determine students responses to the Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation learning models by using a questionnair. The instrument tested prior to the 22 student in the population other thab the study sample was obtain 7 valid item description of 10 question. From the results of the test comprehension of mathematical concepts derived average value of the initial test experiment class 18,43 and control class 17,57. While at the end of the test the average value of the experiment class 44,13 and control class 32,33. Analysis using t test for statistical hypothesis testing. From these calculations obtained tcount = 0,589 for the test of equality of two mean, then consulted on ttabel at 5% significance level and 57 degrees of freedom, the value ttable = 2,003 because ttable < tcount < ttable = (2,003 < 0,589 < 2,003) then H0 is accepted, it means there is no difference between the mean value of the initial test experimental class and control class. While the difference in the two mean test values obtain tcount = 3,827 then consulted on ttable at 5% significance level and 57 degress of freedom, the value ttable = 2,003 because tcount > ttable (3,827 > 2,003) then H1 is accepted, it means the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts that using models Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation better the understanding of the ability of students to use mathematical concept of conventional learning.

This study aims to determine (1) what critical thinking skills that derive mathematical study of mathematics by reciprocal teaching-learning approach is better than students who received conventional learning, (2) what there is an increase in critical thinking skills in students who obtain a mathematical study of mathematics by teaching reciprocal learning approach, (3) how the students response reciprocal-teaching learning approach to improving the critical thingking ability of students mathematical. The research method that used in this study is quasi eksperimental method by using the design research non equivalent control group design. The population in this study is eighth grade student of SMPN 1 Lebakwangi 2015/2016. By using the method of purposive sampling, obtained two samples of the VIII-A as experimental class and VIII-B as sample class. Abstract

Implikasi memiliki tujuan untuk membandingkan hasil penelitian antara yang telah lalu dengan yang baru saja dilakukan. Pada dasarnya implikasi suatu teori dapat didefinisikan sebagai akibat langsung atau konsekuensi atas temuan hasil suatu proses penelitian. Sehingga, munculah berbagai teori hasil penelitian. Teori pembelajaran konstruktivisme ini memberikan pengaruh yang kuat dalam dunia pendidikan. Akibatnya, oreintasi pembelajaran di kelas mengalami pergeseran. Orentasi pembelajaran bergeser dari berpusat pada guru mengajar ke pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa.Siswa tidak lagi diposisikan bagaikan bejana kosong yang siap diisi. Dengan sikap pasrah siswa disiapkan untuk dijejali informasi oleh gurunya. Atau siswa dikondisikan sedemikian rupa untuk menerima pengatahuan dari gurunya. Siswa kini diposisikan sebagai mitra belajar guru. Guru bukan satu-satunya pusat informasi dan yang paling tahu. Guru hanya salah satu sumber belajar atau sumber informasi. Abstract

The most of junior high students who do not understand the relevance of mathematical material make them often forget the material that has been studied. Junior high school students are still struggling in solving problems related to writing daily life problems into the form of mathematical models and difficulty in connecting between objects and concepts in mathematics. The difficulties of students in learning mathematics are elements of mathematical connection ability. It shows the ability of mathematical connections of students of class VII D SMP Negeri 46 Bandung which is still not optimal. Therefore, researchers apply the MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) learning model to attempt to meet the achievement of students' mathematical connection ability. Achievement of students' mathematical connection ability is seen from the fulfillment of classical learning completeness criteria of 75.00% with KKM of 68 applicable in the class. The research method used is classroom action research method (PTK) which consists of three cycles. The instrument used in this research is a test instrument to measure the achievement of students' mathematical connection ability and attitude scale instrument to know the student's response to the learning of mathematics using MMP learning model. The result of this research is mathematical connection ability of students in every cycle and after all cycle have been reached and pertained good criterion. Achievement in the first cycle is 77.50%; in the second cycle is 82.05%; in the third cycle is 97.77%; and after the whole cycle is 94.44%.
