Abstract

Quantum Teaching with TANDUR principle is a learning model that apply six stages ,while learning to grow , natural , frontage , demonstrate , repeat , andcelebrate. This study aims to 1) compare the skill of mathematical communication students using model quantum teaching with TANDUR principle with students who use direct instructional model, 2) to increase the skill of mathematical communication students who obtain mathematical learning using a model quantum teaching with TANDUR principle, 3) evaluate the response students towards learning model quantum teaching with TANDUR principle.The method used in this study is a quasiexperimental method by taking a sample of eighth grade students as the experimental class C and F as the control class VIII SMPN 2 Kuningan. From the results of the post-test show that the mean of the control groups score are 44,77 then the mean of the experimental classes score is 51,50. The data that getting from post-test doesn’t come from the normal distribution. So, this data was compared by using MannWhitney (U) test. From the analyze, we know that

Abstract

This research having target to know ability of understanding concept mathematics student by applying model study of co-operative type NHT with student obtaining conventional study. Method which used in this research that is experiment method by using non-equivalent control group design. This research entangle experiment class and control class of class VII in SMPN 1 Cidahu of school year 2015/2016. This Research use instrument of essay test to know ability of understanding concept mathematics student and also use enquette respon student to know student respon to applied study. Pursuant to result of research that ability of understanding concept mathematics of student using model study of NHT more better than student obtaining conventional study. As for enlargement to ability understanding concept mathematics of student experiment class with mean 0,31 residing in medium category. Besides from result of enquette of respon student equal to 95,12% show positive respon of student to applied study.

Abstract

Application of The Approach of Model-Eliciting Activities To Improved Mathematical Problem Solving Ability The Students SMP. The purpose of study is to improve the students mathematical problem solving by using Model-Eliciting Activities. the result of the initial test indicates that the average value of experimental class is 13,83 and the average value of control class is 16,01. Meanwhile the result of the final test shows that the average value 47of experimental class is 28,46 and theaverage value of control class is 25,08. Based on the outcome of the initial and final data analysis, it can be concluded that students mathematical problem solving by the learning Model-Eliciting Activities is better than konvensional learning. However, the increase of mathematical problem solving by the learning Model-Eliciting Activities is better than konvensional learning. Beside that, Model-Eliciting Activities showed a positive response from about half of students.

Abstract

Application of Problem Posing Learning Design of Mathematics Reasoning Ability Improved Student. This research was motivated by an effort to improve students' mathematical reasoning using problem posing learning design. The results obtained through experimental method pretest control group with an average value of 11.23 and the average value of the experimental group was 13.05. While the posttest results obtained by the average value of the control groupwith an average value of 18.89 and the average value of the experimental group was 13.05. From the analysis of the pretest and posttest samples can be concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability students use problem posing learning design better than mathematical reasoning abilities of students who use conventional learning design. As for the increase in mathematical reasoning ability students experimental group gained an average value is 0.48 with mathematical reasoning ability improvement criteria being and the control group gained an average value is 0.18 with the criteria of low math reasoning ability improvement. So that the analysis results can be concluded that the increase in mathematical reasoning ability students use problem posing learning design is better than the increase in mathematical reasoning abilities of students who use conventional learning. In addition, from the results of student questionnaire responses, it is known that the students showed a good response and positive impact on the problem posing learning design

Abstract

Using of Contextual Teaching and Learning Design In The High School Students Upgrade Conection. The background of this study is to improve the students mathematic conection capabilitys by using the learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning. From the pretest result know average score control class mathematic conection is 16,38 and experimental class is 18,375. Meanwhile from the posttest result known average score control class conection is 77,313 and average score experiment class matematic conection is 85,969. From the analysis of pretest and posttest samples can be concluded that the study of mathematics by using model Contextual Teaching and Learning is better than the ability of students mathematical connection by using conventional learning models. The upgrading of the mathematical connection experimental class at the high category addition of the results of student questionnaire responses, it is known that the students showed a positive response to the learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning

Abstract

Desi Trisusanti (NIM:153223018), Realistic Mathematics Education Based on Bruner’s Theory to Improve Critical Thinking Mathematically geometry of square At Junior High School Students Build Materials (Classroom Action Research at SMPN 2 Cimahi Grades 7B), Department of Mathematics (PMTK), 2017. Capabilities Critical thinking is very important to be possessed by learners. Critical thinking is applied to learners to learn to solve problems systematically, innovatively and designing fundamental solutions. Improvement of critical thinking skills is done through a meaningful learning process for learners. A knowledge will be meaningful for learners if the learning process is implemented in a context or learning using realistic problems. This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of class 7B students on the material geometry of square through Realistic Mathematical Learning Model-Based Mathematical Learning. This research is a classroom action research with research objects 7B grade students of SMPN 2 Cimahi 2nd semester in the academic year 2016/2017 as many as 26 people. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The indicator of success of this research is the percentage of critical thinking ability based on KKM more than 71.5% are in high to very high category, Percentage of critical thinking ability of individual mathematical experience from cycle 1 to cycle 2, percentage of classical learning completion at least 80% Students of realistic mathematics learning model based on Bruner's theory are in good category up to very well. Based on the analysis of research data, cycle 1 percentage critical thinking skills of learners reached 69.95% in middle category and the percentage of classical learning completeness reached 69.23%. While on the second cycle of the percentage of the critical thinking skills of students is reached 75.18% at the high category 5:23% or an increase of cycle 1. Percentage of classical learning completeness in cycle 2 reached 84.62%, an increase of 15:39% of cycle 1. Response Learners toward Learning Mathematical Model Realistic-Based Theory Bruner is on the rise and is in good category. From these results it can be concluded that the Realistic Mathematics Instructional Model-Based Theory of Bruner can improve critical thinking skills on the material flat wake mathematical learners 7B classroom SMPN 2 Cimahi.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of understanding students' mathematical abilities in mathematics. The ability of mathematical understanding is one of the most important goals in the attainment of the objectives of the learning of mathematics. Metematis understanding is also an early ability students need to have in order to improve other capabilities in order to achieve educational goals. But the fact metematis student comprehension ability is still very low. This can be seen when the researchers conducted interviews with a teacher of mathematics courses at MTs Negeri Kadugede stating that the resulting value in each exam students are still a lot below average values. It is caused by several factors which include instructional methods used by teachers when teaching. In this study, researchers used a method Course Review Horay (CRH) in each of the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an increased understanding of mathematical ability of students to use methods Course Review Horay (CRH). The research was conducted in classes VII B to the experimental class and class C to class VII MTs Kadugede control in the second semester of the school year 2015-2016. The method of the research used experimental method. Data collection techniques in this study using the test, the student response sheet. The validity of the instrument is checked by means tested. The test was tested with validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and distinguishing features. The data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The analysis technique used is the t-test to test similarity Two average to see that the two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class are in the same circumstances, the t-test for Test Difference Two average to examine the differences between the two classes, a class experiment and a control class that are in different circumstances and test the one hand to determine the increase of the experimental class. Through the experimental method initial test results obtained with the average value of 21.395 experimental class and the average value of 20.5 grade control. While at the end of the test values obtained average grade class experimental and control 76.42 35.81. From the analysis of the initial data and the final data sample can be concluded that the study of mathematics by using method Course Review Horay (CRH) is better than direct instruction to improve mathematical understanding in Kadugede MTs. Besides from analysis of student response sheet reveals the response of students to the study of mathematics by Course Review Horay (CRH) is quite good

Abstract

Implementation Approach Constructivism Model Discovery Learning In Improving Reasoning Ability And Relationships Motivation Math Student. The background of this study is to improve the students mathematical reasoning skills by using the discovery learning models and relationships motivation math student.The result of the initial test indicates that the average value of control class is 10,99 and the average value of experimental class is 10,95. Meanwhile the result of the final test shows that the average value of control class is 15,27 and the average value of experimental class is 21.63 Based on the outcome of the initial and final data analysis, it can be concluded that mathematical learning applying by the discovery learning models is better than direct instructional. However, the increase of experimental students skills of mathematical reasoning is medium level. In addition, from the results of Spearman correlation test is known that there is a relationship between learning motivation and mathematical reasoning abilities of students. While the results of student questionnaire responses, it is known that the students showed a positive response to discovery learning models

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate whether Guided Finding Methods could improve students' understanding of geometry in class 8. The method used is Classroom Action Research. The research was done at SMP Negeri 2 Ciwaru located at Jl. Raya Sumberjaya, Desa Citikur, Kecamatan Ciwaru, Kabupaten Kuningan. The subjects of the researchs were the students of SMP Negeri 2 Ciwaru class 8 academic year 2016/2017. They were chosen because after consulting with mathematics teachers that this had major problems regarding the comprehension ability of mathematical concepts. Data collection techniques: observation, interview and questionnaire. The research was done in 2 cycles, each cycle was done in 3 sessions. Each session includes 4 stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of the research as follows: Learning with guided discovery method can improve students' understanding 73.82%. With the following details on the first cycle students who reached the KKM 17 students (62.54%) with an average score of 65.74. In cycle II the number of KKM 23 students (85.19%) the average score in cycle II was 79.26. Based on the results of the research it is advisable to use guided discovery methods in improving students' comprehension skills.

Abstract

Application of Learning Strategies Means Ends Analysis (MEA) To Increase Students Critical Thinking Skill Mathematically. The background of this research is two improve student critical thinking mathematically using learning strategies Means Ends Analysis. From the result of the pretest known that the mean score of critical thinking mathematically control class is 16.04, and the experimental class is 18.275. Meanwhile, it is known that the result of the posttest mean score of critical thinking mathematically control class is 62.03 and the mean score critical thinking mathematically experimental class is 78.5. From the analysis of pretest and posttest samples can be concluded that the study of mathematics by using learning strategies Means Ends Analysis is better than the ability of critical thinking mathematical students by using conventional learning strategies. The increased ability to think critically mathematical experimental class in middle category
