Abstract

This qualitative study, conducted as a literature review, aims to describe Azyumardi Azra’s views on strategies for strengthening Indonesian nationalism through multicultural Islamic education. The findings indicate that, in Azyumardi Azra’s view, multicultural education not only fosters tolerance but also serves as the ideological foundation for inclusive nationalism. In Indonesia’s pluralistic society, this education shifts the paradigm of nationalism from homogeneous to pluralistic, transforming differences into a source of national strength. This study contributes to the assertion that multicultural education strengthens social cohesion, builds an adaptive national identity, and prevents identity-based horizontal conflicts.

Abstract

This qualitative research is in the form of a literature study and content analysis of Buya Yahya's thoughts on the relationship between fiqh and Sufism. According to Buya Yahya himself, the science of Sufism must be based on the science of fiqh, because the science of Sufism without studying fiqh is called zindiq (disbelief). Meanwhile, learning the science of fiqh without the science of Sufism is called tafasakh (broken). This research confirms that the relationship between Sufism and fiqh must go hand in hand so that the decisions taken are balanced between human and divine values. With this understanding, it will form a more responsible person so that a person does not only lean towards sharia law, but also has an inner awareness. Jurisprudence explains clear rules on how a Muslim should behave, while Sufism helps to implement these rules with a clean and sincere heart

Abstract

This qualitative research, conducted as a literature review, aims to identify Yusuf Qardhawi’s views on the urgency of ijtihad in formulating moderate Islamic law. The primary data used is the book by Saifullah M. Yunus titled *Opening the Doors of Ijtihad*. Secondary data draws upon various relevant scholarly works. The results of the study indicate that Yusuf Qardhawi emphasizes the importance of a moderate fiqh paradigm in addressing contemporary Islamic legal issues a paradigm grounded in sharia evidence, logic, and the public interest. Some modern issues discussed in his fatwas include abortion, marriage, and Islamic banking. This study contributes to the assertion that Yusuf Qardhawi’s thought plays a significant role in the development of Islamic fiqh through a moderate approach that balances religious texts with current realities.

Abstract

This community service research aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Ngaji artificial intelligence (AI) application at Taman Pendidikan al-Qur’an (TPQ) Birul Walidain in Pekalongan. A pre-experimental design with pre- and post-tests was applied to 20 students aged 10–13 years, using a structured knowledge assessment instrument analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed significant improvements across all indicators: basic AI understanding increased from 55% to 100% (+45 percentage points), awareness of learning enhancement aspects increased from 20% to 100% (+80 percentage points), and understanding of AI benefits increased from 55% to 75%, with an average cross-indicator increase of ±37.5 percentage points. These findings contribute empirically to the discourse on edupreneurship by demonstrating that an AI-integrated learning model can be effectively implemented in TPQs, while also offering a replicable framework for the modernization of non-formal Islamic education based on digital literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the paradigm and strategies of production and operational efficiency in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Songket Peci in Batu Bara Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and MSME documentation. The research results show that the songket peci production process is still carried out manually, relying on traditional skills, so the production time is relatively long. In addition, operational efficiency is not yet optimal due to limitations in equipment, time management, as well as the management of raw materials and labor. Nevertheless, the quality of the products produced has high aesthetic value and competitiveness at the local level. This study’s contribution emphasizes the importance of paradigms and strategies for production effectiveness of local wisdom products that are holistic, accommodative, and contextual.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe Charles Sanders Peirce's pragmatism and its relevance to the Islamic Education paradigm. This qualitative study is in the form of a literature review. Content analysis was used in this study. Data was obtained through documentation techniques. The results of the study show that pragmatism is a school of thought in philosophy which assumes that the truth value of a concept or theory is determined by its usefulness in practice. Meanwhile, the pragmatic approach in Islamic education can be implemented by providing students with real experiences so that they can hone their critical and creative thinking skills. This research contributes to the understanding that the philosophical thoughts of Charles S. Peirce, especially in the field of pragmatism, have great potential to enrich and expand education in Islam

Abstract

The aim of this qualitative study, conducted as a literature review, is to explore the axiological aspects related to the function of wayang dakwah in the history of the spread of Islam on the island of Java (Indonesia). This study employs a content analysis approach. Data were obtained from various academic sources discussing wayang dakwah in the history of the spread of Islam in Indonesia. The findings indicate that, historically, wayang dakwah has been passed down from generation to generation as an integral part of cultural arts, closely linked to religious values within the history of Javanese Muslim society. In practice, wayang dakwah has made a significant contribution to the dissemination of Islamic teachings, encompassing socio-cultural, political, religious, and other aspects. The contribution of this study emphasises that the acculturation between cultural arts and religion can create an effective and accommodating form of artistic media for disseminating religious values within local communities.
