Abstract

The main focus of this research is to understand how Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) integrates the values of science and religion in the context of education and public understanding. In this research, it refers to Ian G. Barbour's theory that divides the relationship between science and religion into four typologies: conflict, independence, dialog, and integration. With this approach, the analysis of UAS in bridging science and religion can be done in more depth. The research findings show that  UAS views the Qur'an as a source of inspiration and scientific validation. He gives examples of how verses in the Qur'an can be interpreted from a scientific perspective, and highlights the concept of "scientific miracles" contained therein. Research underscores the importance of integrating science and religion in education to empower society to face the challenges of the modern era.

Abstract

Access to capital is not only an economic necessity but also a matter of distributive justice and social inclusion for smallholder farmers, who remain underserved by conventional financial institutions. Collateral-oriented banking systems and dependence on informal usurious lending continue to create structural barriers that hinder sustainable agricultural development and conflict with the ethical values of Islamic finance. This study investigates Rahn financing implemented by KSPPS BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Dukun Branch as a sharia-compliant and ethical model for agricultural capital provision. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, document analysis, and descriptive–analytical methods, the research examines the financing mechanism, contractual integration, and development of the Pertanian Barokah (TABUR) product. The findings show that the integration of Qard, Rahn, and Ijarah enhances accessibility, strengthens trust, and promotes shared responsibility between the institution and farmers. Membership growth during 2020–2024 demonstrates the model's social acceptance and practical relevance. The study concludes that Rahn financing represents a value-based paradigm that advances financial inclusion, community empowerment, and equitable agricultural development while providing practical insights for farmer-oriented Islamic microfinance

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation and innovative learning on the achievement motivation of Madrasah Aliyah students in South Tapanuli Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consisted of students from private Madrasah Aliyah schools, with a sample of 297 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of Total Quality Management was categorized as good, achieving 70.32% of the ideal score; (2) innovative learning was also categorized as good, with a percentage of 68.85%; (3) students' achievement motivation was categorized as high, reaching 69.67%; (4) Total Quality Management had a significant positive effect on students' achievement motivation; (5) innovative learning had a significant positive effect on students' achievement motivation; and (6) simultaneously, Total Quality Management and innovative learning had a significant positive effect on students' achievement motivation. The research findings help confirm that improving the quality of innovative learning management is a key factor in boosting students’ motivation to achieve in the face of global challenges.

Abstract

Qur'anic tahfiz learning has expanded significantly in response to the growing interest in Qur'an-based education. Although previous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of repetition-based approaches such as tikrar, muraja'ah, and sima'i, the cognitive role of bi al-taghanni has received limited theoretical attention and has generally been discussed as an aesthetic practice of Qur'anic recitation rather than as a memorization strategy. This article argues that bi al-taghanni functions as an auditory memorization strategy operating through cognitive mechanisms that facilitate encoding, storage, and retrieval during Qur'anic memorization. To substantiate this argument, the study reconceptualizes bi al-taghanni by integrating memorization theory and auditory learning into a unified conceptual framework. A qualitative library research design was employed through the systematic examination of relevant books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and scholarly publications using conceptual content analysis and interpretive synthesis. The findings suggest that the rhythmic and melodic characteristics of bi al-taghanni may strengthen memory formation by providing structured auditory stimulation that enhances attention, repetition, and long-term retention. This conceptual integration extends the scholarship of Qur'anic education by repositioning bi al-taghanni beyond its conventional role as a recitation technique toward an auditory memorization strategy with cognitive and pedagogical significance. The proposed framework offers a theoretical foundation for future empirical studies investigating the effectiveness of auditory-based memorization strategies in contemporary Qur'anic tahfiz education
