Abstract

Providing appropriate compensation has an important role in improving employee motivation and performance in the work environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Dairi Regency Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office. Using a causal associative quantitative method, this research was carried out at the Dairi Regency Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office with a total of 96 respondents. The results of the analysis show that compensation has a significant effect on work motivation and employee performance, as evidenced by the T-Statistic value of 27.267 > 1.96 and the P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05 for the effect of compensation on motivation. In addition, work motivation is also proven to have a significant influence on employee performance, with a T-Statistic value of 6.764 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05. In Indirect Influence, it was obtained that motivation was able to intervene the influence between compensation and employee performance. This can be seen from the results of the T-Statistical value of 6.274 > 1.96 with a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05. This shows that there is an indirect influence between compensation and employee performance through motivation. The implications of these results suggest that organizations, especially government agencies, need to consider compensation policies that include not only salaries and benefits but also other forms of compensation such as non-financial rewards to improve employee motivation and performance. An effective and adequate compensation policy, accompanied by a work environment that supports motivation, will create a synergistic effect that can increase employee productivity and loyalty.

The implementation of appropriate government accounting standards and the optimal use of technology are important factors in improving employee performance in the government sector. This study aims to find out and analyze the influence of the application of government accounting standards on employee performance mediated by the use of technology in the Binjai City Regional Financial and Revenue Management Agency. This study uses a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was the entire employee population totaling 186 people, with a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study show that the implementation of government accounting standards has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a T-statistical value of 4.197 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the increase in the implementation of government accounting standards can improve employee performance. In addition, the implementation of government accounting standards has a positive and significant effect on the use of technology, with a T-statistical value of 21.071 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that accounting standards encourage the use of technology in the implementation of tasks. The use of technology also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a T-statistical value of 6.636 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which shows that increasing the use of technology can improve employee performance. In addition, the use of technology is able to mediate the influence between the application of government accounting standards on employee performance, shown by the T-statistical value of 6.166 > 1.96 and the P-value of 0.000 < 0.05. These results provide insight that the implementation of government accounting standards and the use of technology are effective strategies in improving employee performance at the Binjai City Regional Financial and Revenue Management Agency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Management Policy on Employee Performance by considering the role of Job Motivation and Job Satisfaction as intervening variables. The research was conducted on employees at the Dairi Regency Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries Office with a sample of 131 employees out of 235 employees taken using purposive sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach and the Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis method. The results of the study show that the Management Policy has a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance, with a T-Statistic value of 6.152 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that a better management policy will improve employee performance. In addition, Management Policy also has a significant impact on Work Motivation, with a T-Statistic of 58.557 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000, indicating the importance of management policies in building employee motivation. Other results showed that Work Motivation had a significant influence on Employee Performance with a T-Statistic of 6.959 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000. These findings underscore that increased work motivation contributes to improved performance. Further analysis found that Management Policy has an indirect influence on Employee Performance through work motivation, with a T-Statistic of 7.028 and a P-Value of 0.000. This shows that work motivation plays a role as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between Management Policy and Employee Performance, so that effective management policies can have more impact if accompanied by increased work motivation. Recommendations are given to organizations to continue to develop management policies that are able to increase motivation and job satisfaction for the optimization of employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of supervision and work discipline on employee performance which is moderated by work motivation at PT. Bank Sumut Syariah Padangsidempuan Branch. This research was carried out at PT. Bank Sumut Syariah Padangsidempuan Branch. The type of research is associative quantitative. The sample in this study was 22 employees with ASN and honorary status at PT. Bank Sumut Syariah Padangsidempuan Branch. The sampling technique in this study used the entire population of 22 people. The research results show that supervision has a significant influence on employee motivation as shown by the T-Statistic value of 3,784 > 1.96 and the P Value of 0.001 < 0.05. Work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance with a T-Statistic value of 6.197 > 1.96 with a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05. Work Discipline has a significant effect on Employee Work Motivation, this can be seen from the results of the T-Statistic value of 2.828 > 1.96 with a P-Value value of 0.010 < 0.05. In the indirect effect, the results show that work motivation does not have a role as a moderating variable in explaining the relationship between supervision and work discipline and employee performance. This shows that improvements in supervision and work discipline cannot increase work motivation, which ultimately contributes to improving employee performance at PT. Bank Sumut Syariah Padangsidempuan Branch.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between exchange rate fluctuations and stock prices in Indonesia. Using daily data from 2010 to 2023, the analysis was carried out through the multiple linear regression method to identify the impact of exchange rate changes on stock prices in the Indonesian capital market. The results show that there is a significant relationship between exchange rate fluctuations and stock prices, where a decrease in the exchange rate tends to have a negative impact on stock prices, especially in import-dependent sectors. In addition, this study also found that there was a difference in stock price response to exchange rate fluctuations between companies listed on the stock exchange and large and small market capitalizations. These findings provide important insights for investors and policymakers in making decisions related to investment and risk management in the stock market. This research is expected to contribute to the literature on financial market dynamics in developing countries, especially Indonesia.

Abstract

The city of Medan, as one of the major cities in Indonesia, faces complex challenges related to poverty that have a wide impact on the economy and society of the community. This study aims to analyze economic factors that affect poverty in Medan City, especially the variables of economic growth, education, unemployment rate, and wages during the 2013-2022 period. The method used is multiple linear regression, to measure the simultaneous and partial influence of these variables on poverty levels. The results of the study show that simultaneously, these variables have a significant effect on poverty. However, partially, only wages have a significant influence, while economic growth, unemployment, and education do not directly affect poverty. Increasing wages is a key factor in reducing the poverty rate in Medan City.
