Abstract

This study investigates the impact of profitability on firm value, with capital structure serving as a mediating variable and firm size as a moderating variable, focusing on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange's IDX30 index from 2018 to 2022. A quantitative approach is employed to examine the causal relationships, utilizing secondary data from the financial statements of each company, which were sourced from the firms' official websites or the IDX website. A non-probability sampling method was used to select the companies from the IDX30 index during the specified period. The analysis was conducted using panel data, with descriptive statistics and conditional process Hayes analysis performed through SPSS25 and the Hayes Process. The results reveal that profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value, while also demonstrating a negative and significant impact on capital structure. Furthermore, capital structure positively influences firm value and mediates the relationship between profitability and firm value. Additionally, firm size moderates the effect of profitability on firm value and the impact of capital structure on firm value. These findings provide insights into the interconnected roles of profitability, capital structure, and firm size in determining firm value among IDX30 index listed companies.

Abstract

The development of an effective and efficient employee recruitment and selection system is an important strategic step to support the success of the organization in achieving its goals. An optimized recruitment and selection process not only aims to get the best candidates, but also ensures proper allocation of resources, both in terms of time and cost. This research focuses on companies engaged in the medical field. After a deeper examination, several problems were found that made the employee recruitment and selection system that had been implemented in the company considered less than optimal in finding new workers. So the purpose of this research is to design a proposal for the development of a more effective and efficient employee recruitment and selection system. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research design with data collection through document study, semi-structured interviews with key informants, and field practice during the research. The result of this research is the formation of a proposed design of the company's system development. Starting from the establishment of a Service Level Agreement, Optimizing the company's social media, to the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures for recruitment and selection of new employees. This research concludes that the development of technology-based systems not only improves operational efficiency, but also provides added value in human resource management. Therefore, the implementation of this system is recommended as an innovative solution for organizations that want to compete in the digital era.

Abstract

During the colonial period, education must have been very difficult to get, because the colonizers who were in power at that time did not want education to reach the indigenous people. The Islamic education system during the Japanese occupation was basically the same as the Islamic education system in the Dutch era, namely in addition to the pesantren education system established by traditional scholars, there was also a classical education system as seen in madrasas. The Dutch have colonized Indonesia for centuries. And during the Dutch colonial period, access to Islamic education was very difficult because Dutch education was more dominant in non-Islamic education. While Japan actually gave relief to Islamic education in Indonesia, it was precisely the waiver from Japan that made Japan withdraw from Indonesia. The research method used in this study is a Literature Study that collects data from various written sources. This research aims to find out the cases of political policies related to Islamic Education in Indonesia during the Dutch and Japanese colonial periods.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the role of educators in implementing leadership characters in the subject of Islamic Cultural History in grade VII MTsN 7 Agam in the material of Khulafaur Rasyidin Leadership.  This type of research is qualitative research with the subject of this research being Islamic Cultural History educators and students of grade VII MTsN 7 Agam. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Then this study uses data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that the role of educators is as partners, resource persons, and companions. Educators play the role of partners, namely cooperation between educators and other educators, parents or other parties who are tasked with paying attention to the development of students. Educators act as resource persons tasked with providing information to students about many things related to learning and so on. Meanwhile, educators as companions are in charge of providing direction and advice related to the field or discussion being pursued.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the impact of credit risk, liquidity, and bank size on the financial performance of conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2014-2023, with a particular focus on the COVID-19 pandemic period. The research variables used include the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and bank size, while Return on Assets (ROA) is used as a financial performance indicator. This study uses the purposive sampling method to select a sample from 138 banks listed on the IDX, resulting in 9 banks that meet the established criteria. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Generalized Least Square (GLS) model to address the issues of autocorrelation and heteroskedasticity found in classical assumptions. The research results show that credit risk (NPL) has a significant negative impact on ROA, while bank size and liquidity (LDR) have a significant positive impact on ROA during the pandemic. These findings highlight the importance of managing credit and liquidity risks as well as optimizing bank size to improve financial performance amid the challenging economic conditions caused by the pandemic. This study also suggests that the financial performance of banks can be more stable if supported by appropriate risk management strategies and good operational efficiency. The limitations of this study include a sample restricted to conventional banks in Indonesia and the specific conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic, which may affect the generalization of the results.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' perception that Science lessons are difficult to understand and boring due to the one-way teaching method, which has led to a decline in student interest and learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was to increase the interest and learning outcomes of ninth-grade students in class 9.3 at SMP Negeri 2 Cisauk. The research method used was Classroom Action Research. Data collection techniques involved quantitative data from learning outcomes and qualitative data through analyzing interest questionnaire sheets. The results show an increase in students' learning interest and outcomes. The percentage of students' interest in learning before and after the intervention increased from 54,5% to 93,9%. The average learning outcomes of students increased from 62,5 to 79,3. This research shows that inquiry-based interactive games on the Human Reproductive System material led to an increase in students' interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are important for the success of learning in college. The purpose of this study was to test the effect of the use of audio visuals, direct roles, and learning motivation on learning outcomes. The results of the first hypothesis testing data analysis concluded that there was a difference in learning outcomes assisted by audiovisual media in combination with direct demonstrations with learning outcomes with only direct demonstrations (5.266> 2.00) and the significance value of the difference between the two learning outcomes was below 0.05. In addition, calculations using 2-way variance analysis obtained F count values for direct demonstration media and audiovisual media obtained results greater than F table. The results of the second hypothesis testing data analysis concluded that there was a difference in learning outcomes between students who had high learning motivation and students who had low learning motivation, which was shown at 9.660 <2.857. By increasing learning outcomes, learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce valid learning materials on the topic of light properties using the Plomp development model, which consists of five stages: Preliminary Investigation, Design, Realization, Testing, Evaluation, Revision, and  Implementation. The model was modified to suit the specific needs of the study. The modification excluded the implementation phase after completing the test, evaluation, and revision stages. The developed learning materials included a Teaching Module based on guided inquiry combined with carousel feedback, Student Worksheets (LKPD), and a Critical Thinking Skills Test. The study focused solely on the validation process, encompassing construct and content validation of the developed materials. The validation was conducted by experts in science education, instructional design, and evaluation measurement. The validation process aimed to ensure that the learning materials met the criteria of validity, relevance, and feasibility for use. Data from the validation process were analyzed descriptively to determine the level of validity of the materials. Based on the validation results, the developed learning materials were declared valid and suitable for classroom use. The final product of this study was a set of learning materials designed not only to support students' understanding of light properties but also to enhance critical thinking skills through the guided inquiry approach and structured feedback. These materials were expected to contribute to improving the quality of science education in schools, particularly in the application of innovative, 21st-century skill-based teaching methods.
