Abstract

The professionalism of prosecutors in the process of investigating corruption crimes is a crucial aspect in ensuring justice, legal certainty, and the effectiveness of corruption eradication. The Prosecutor's Office as a law enforcement agency has a strategic role in investigating corruption cases in accordance with the authority regulated in laws and regulations. This study aims to analyze the professionalism of prosecutors in investigating corruption crimes at the Aceh Besar District Prosecutor's Office, focusing on factors that affect the effectiveness of investigations, obstacles faced, and strategies to improve the quality of investigations. This study uses normative juridical and empirical juridical methods with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through literature studies and interviews with prosecutors in charge of investigating corruption cases. The results of the study show that the professionalism of prosecutors is influenced by technical competence, independence, and moral integrity. However, in practice, investigations often face obstacles such as political intervention, limited human resources, lack of use of digital forensic technology, and weak coordination between law enforcement agencies. To increase the effectiveness of investigations, strategic steps are needed such as increasing the capacity of prosecutors through continuous training, the application of digital technology in the collection of evidence, and strengthening cooperation between law enforcement agencies. With regulatory reform and more transparent supervision, it is hoped that efforts to eradicate corruption can run more optimally and contribute to a better justice system.

Abstract

The millennial era, characterized by rapid access to information through technology and its positive and negative impacts, presents problems for character education in Indonesia. Therefore, character education is essential to overcome these negative impacts, with systematic intervention from the government. Indonesia is still lagging behind neighboring countries in terms of character education, focusing more on academic achievement. Education should not only provide knowledge, but also build character, in line with the national values enshrined in the 1945 Constitution. In the context of globalization, technology can socially isolate people, even though technology facilitates access to information. Teachers, especially those who teach character-centered subjects, must act as role models and facilitators for students who are heavily influenced by information from smartphones. Character encompasses behavior, personality, and the application of good values, so education should be geared towards forming responsible and socially engaged individuals.

Abstract

Access to clean water is the foundation of sustainable development and human rights, but its sustainability in rural areas such as South Central Timor (TTS) district faces complex multidimensional challenges. The main problem lies not in infrastructure development alone, but in the weakness of sustainable post-construction support systems. An in-depth political economy analysis shows that these challenges are rooted in chronic local government fiscal constraints, ambiguity in the institutional role between agencies, ceremonial cross-sector coordination, and local political dynamics that often sacrifice the stability of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Supply System Management Group (KPSPAM). The Community Service Program (PKM) is designed as a strategic meeting room to address the root of these governance problems through a participatory and collaborative approach. The method of implementing this program includes a series of structured activities: (1) FGD on participatory problem mapping to build mutual understanding; (2) A continuous mentoring survey for KPSPAM with a focus on managerial, financial, technical, and advocacy aspects to formulate institutional solutions. The results achieved from this program are increased stakeholder awareness of the importance of a paradigm shift from a "project" to a "sustainable service" approach, a significant strengthening of KPSPAM's capacity, and the preparation of a draft Joint Action Plan and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for post-construction support. This program recommends that local governments immediately formalize coordination mechanisms, issue regulations that support the allocation of Village Funds for clean water maintenance, and institutionalize KPSPAM's capacity building program on a sustainable basis to ensure the future of clean water services at TTS.
