Abstract

 Pustaha Laklak merupakan naskah kuno khas masyarakat Batak yang ditulis di atas kulit kayu dan berfungsi sebagai media penyimpanan pengetahuan tradisional, khususnya dalam bidang pengobatan, ramalan, dan kosmologi. Namun pada masa kini, jumlah ahli yang mampu membaca dan memahami pustaha sudah sangat langka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penyebab terputusnya rantai pewarisan pengetahuan Pustaha Laklak. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis dan sosio-kultural melalui studi pustaka dan analisis sumber sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setidaknya terdapat empat faktor utama yang menyebabkan tidak berlanjutnya pewarisan pustaha, yakni: (1) sifat esoteris pustaha yang hanya diwariskan secara terbatas kepada datu tertentu, (2) masuknya misionaris Jerman (zending) yang menolak tradisi pustaha sebagai praktik kekafiran, (3) pergeseran sistem pendidikan dari aksara Batak ke alfabet Latin yang melemahkan tradisi literasi lokal, serta (4) perubahan sosial akibat modernisasi dan diaspora pustaha ke luar negeri. Penelitian ini menegaskan urgensi pelestarian pustaha sebagai warisan budaya tak benda, sekaligus mendorong perlunya digitalisasi, transliterasi, dan revitalisasi literasi Batak sebagai upaya menjaga kesinambungan pengetahuan lokal.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam era ekonomi global yang kompetitif, dibutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kreativitas tinggi, mampu beradaptasi, serta berjiwa mandiri. Kewirausahaan menjadi faktor penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi karena berperan dalam menciptakan lapangan kerja baru, meningkatkan produktivitas, dan menumbuhkan inovasi. Namun, minat mahasiswa Indonesia terhadap dunia wirausaha masih rendah. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya kesadaran akan potensi diri serta lingkungan sosial yang belum sepenuhnya mendukung aktivitas kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh kesadaran diri dan lingkungan sosial terhadap pembentukan karakter kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan digunakan untuk meninjau teori dan hasil penelitian terdahulu. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran diri membantu mahasiswa memahami kekuatan, kelemahan, serta peluang yang dimiliki dalam menentukan langkah berwirausaha secara tepat. Sementara itu, lingkungan sosial seperti keluarga, teman, dan kampus memberikan dukungan moral, emosional, dan material yang memperkuat motivasi serta kesiapan berwirausaha. Sinergi antara faktor internal dan eksternal menjadi dasar pembentukan jiwa kewirausahaan yang tangguh dan inovatif. Perguruan tinggi dan pemerintah diharapkan mampu menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang kondusif untuk menumbuhkan semangat kewirausahaan mahasiswa, sehingga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan daya saing ekonomi nasional

Abstract

Museums were initially only a gathering place and often also used as a place of reflection, over time they have changed into a place of reference, learning and education. As the museum has developed into a source of learning. Learning can be defined as a form of cooperation between teachers and students in utilizing learning resources. With the increasingly developing era, anything that can provide knowledge is a learning resource, one of which is a museum, which in this study, the Simalungun Museum is the object of this study. The Simalungun Museum is expected to be an interesting learning resource for students of MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar City which then makes students' creativity, activeness and way of thinking increase. The purpose of this study is to see how to function the museum as a learning resource media for History Social Studies. This study also shows that the results of functioning the Simalungun Museum as a learning resource for History Social Studies are agreeable. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire distributed showing a figure of 76.94%. As well as the results of the interview stated that they agreed that functioning the Simalungun Museum as a learning resource media for Social Studies. This shows that the Simalungun Museum has a good function in increasing students' interest in learning social studies subjects.

Abstract

Museum pada awalnya hanya menjadi tempat perkumpulan serta tidak jarang juga dijadikan tempat merenung, waktu-kewaktu mengalami perubahan menjadi tempat referensi, belajar dan edukasi. Seiring berkembangnya museum menjadi sumber belajar. Pembelajaran dapat didefinisikan sebagai bentuk kerja sama antara guru dan siswa dalam memanfaatkan sumber belajar. Dengan semakin berkembangnya zaman membuat segala apapun yang dapat memberikan ilmu merupakan suatu sumber belajar salah satunya adalah museum, yang pada penelitian ini, Museum simalungun lah yang menjadi objek dari penelitian ini. Museum Simalungun diharapkan menjadi sumber belajar yang menarik bagi siswa-siswi MTs Mesra Kota Pematangsiantar yang kemudian membuat kreatifitas, keaktifan dan cara berfikir siswa meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana cara memfungsikan museum sebagai media sumber belajar IPS Sejarah. Penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa hasil dari memfungsikan museum Simalungun sebagai sumber belajar ips sejarah adalah setuju. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil angket yang dibagikan menunjukan angka 76,94%. Serta hasil wawancara menyatakan setuju bahwa memfungsikan Museum Simalungun Sebagai media sumber belajar IPS. Ini menunjukan bahwa Musuem Simalungun memeiliki fungsi yang baik dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in following Indonesian History lessons, this can be seen from the symptoms in the learning process. These symptoms indicate low student learning outcomes in the subject of Indonesian History, so that not a few students get scores below the KKM set by the school. The purpose of this study is to determine the Improvement of Student Learning Outcomes Through the Application of the Questions Students Have Method in the History Subject of class XI IPS3 at the Private High School Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Pematangsiantar in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at the Private High School Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Pematangsiantar in class XI IPS3 with a total of 32 students. The research stages include planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, from the category "Less Good" before the action to "Good" in cycle II, with a percentage of completion reaching 93.7%. This shows that the application of the Questions Students Have learning method is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Indonesian History.

Abstract

Snowball Throwing Learning is a cooperative learning model where this method is implemented by dividing students into several groups, where each group member makes a question on a piece of paper and forms it like a ball, then the ball is thrown to other students for a specified time duration, which then each student answers the question from the ball they get. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of students using the Snowball Throwing learning method are better than those who do not use the Snowball Throwing learning method. This can be seen from the average post-test score in the control class is 70.30. While the average post-test score in the experimental class is 80.30. Then from the hypothesis test shows the results of the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.00 meaning the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class. This shows that the application of the Snowball Throwing method has an influence on student learning outcomes with the research hypothesis stating that, "The application of the Snowball Throwing learning method can improve the history learning outcomes of class X students at SMK Swasta GKPS 2 Pematangsiantar" is accepted.

Abstract

Based on the background of the establishment of the GKPS Raya Usang church, this church is one of the oldest churches in the GKPS congregation. The purpose of this study is to explain historically how the history and development of the GKPS church in Raya Usang. The method used by researchers in this writing is the Historical method. The results of the study show that the formation of the congregation and the establishment of the GKPS Raya Usang which is part of the Raya Usang Resort in Dolog Masagal District cannot be separated from the struggle carried out by the missionary August Theis and the evangelists along with all the figures who played a role in the establishment of this church including the spirit and unity of the village community of Raya Usang, by having the awareness to build a church building that should be separated from the school building. In its development, the GKPS Raya Usang church cannot be separated from the influence of the leadership of the congregation council who plays an active role in carrying out its duties and responsibilities through the "Tri-task of the Church's calling" in growing and developing the faith of the members of the GKPS Raya Usang congregation. The development of the GKPS Church in Raya Usang has resulted in the growth of congregation members every year, the change in the name of the church from HKBP to HKBPS and in 1963 to GKPS. The missionary school educational institution equivalent to elementary school was also established as a work of the Protestant Christian Church in Raya Usang, although this school no longer exists because an elementary school was established in the presidential instruction era since the independence era.

Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning model can be defined as a series of learning activities that emphasize the scientific process of solving problems. The main question in this study is whether the Problem-Based Learning model has an effect on the social studies learning outcomes of students in grades VIII-6 at MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar. The aim was to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of students in grades VIII-6 at MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar. This research method used a Pre-Experimental Design with a One-Group Pre-Test-Post-Test Design, a research method that uses only one class as an experimental class without a comparison class (control class). This method serves to determine whether there is an improvement in students' history learning outcomes following the application of the Problem-Based Learning model to students in grades VIII-6 at MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar. Based on the analysis results obtained using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test at a significance level of 0.05, the obtained value was 0.120, indicating a normal distribution, as 0.120 ≤ 0.05. This is supported by the results of the normality test, which compares Lhitung< Ltabel. Lhitung is 0.136, and Ltabel is 0.155. Therefore, it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed, with 0.136 < 0.155.Furthermore, the results of the t-test hypothesis test revealed a significant relationship between the independent variable (Problem Based Learning model) and the dependent variable (social studies learning outcomes).This is evident by the calculated t value > t tabel value, or 20.681 > 1.697 at the significance level. Therefore, t is accepted and 0 is rejected. Thus, it is proven that there is a significant influence of the use of the Problem-Based Learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of grade VIII-6 students at MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study examines the role of integrating national defense values ​​among the younger generation in strengthening national character, particularly through an understanding of Indonesia's struggle for independence (1945-1949) in East Sumatra. The research background is based on the phenomenon of weak historical and patriotic awareness among adolescents, which has the potential to reduce social cohesion and commitment to national unity. The main objectives of the study are: (1) to identify the level of knowledge and attitudes of the younger generation towards the struggle for independence in East Sumatra, (2) to evaluate the effectiveness of national defense-based education programs in increasing historical awareness, and (3) to formulate an integrative strategy that can be adopted by educational institutions and the community. The results of the study indicate that only 34.7% of respondents have adequate knowledge about the struggle for independence in East Sumatra, while 41.2% demonstrate low patriotic attitudes. Participation in the national defense program was shown to have a significant positive effect on increasing knowledge (β=0.31, p<0.01) and patriotic attitudes (β=0.27, p<0.01). The regression model explained 48% of the variance in changes in patriotic attitudes (R²=0.48). Additional qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews revealed that the main inhibiting factors were the lack of a local history-based curriculum and inadequate supporting facilities.
