Abstract

This article is composed to explore the meaning of higher criticism concerning the inerrancy of the Bible and its impact on the Christian faith. The Bible as the word of God is a core doctrine in the Christian faith that cannot be negotiated. When reading the Bible, readers must submit themselves to the system of biblical understanding. Reading the Bible and subsequently engaging in textual criticism of the Bible is considered an incorrect approach. Criticism of the Bible, whether textual or historical criticism, began to particularly develop during the Enlightenment era. Biblical inerrancy is a statement asserting that the Bible is without error. The relationship between biblical inerrancy and biblical criticism is dialectical in nature. The author employs a descriptive qualitative research method to demonstrate that the Bible possesses the attribute of inerrancy, is a revelation from God, and to conduct exegetical studies from both the Old and New Testaments to provide authentic evidence for the strengthening of the Christian faith.

Abstract

Toxic relationships in dating are a problem often experienced by teenagers, including Christian teenagers. These unhealthy relationships are characterized by emotional manipulation, excessive control, constant conflict, and lack of healthy communication, which ultimately negatively impacts psychological, spiritual, and social well-being. Teens trapped in toxic relationships tend to experience stress, anxiety, and loss of self-confidence. Spiritually, toxic relationships can distance them from Christian values of love, patience, and respect for others, and reduce their involvement in the church community. Therefore, understanding the impact of toxic relationships on Christian teenagers is important to provide solutions in building healthier relationships. This research was conducted through a literature study of various related sources, including developmental psychology, interpersonal relationships from a Christian perspective, and factors that contribute to toxic relationships among adolescents. The results show that guidance based on biblical values, such as love, respect, and healthy communication, plays an important role in shaping more positive relationship patterns. In addition, support from family, church community, and education on healthy relationships are key factors in helping adolescents avoid and overcome the negative impacts of toxic relationships. This study makes a new contribution in understanding the importance of a spiritual-based approach in building harmonious relationships that are in line with Christian teachings. With better education on healthy relationships, it is hoped that Christian adolescents can live a more emotionally, socially and spiritually prosperous life.

The purpose of this research is to examine various collaborative learning strategies that are effectively applied in learning Christian religious education, as well as providing an understanding of the benefits and impact on improving student understanding. The methods used in this research are literature study and observation of the implementation of collaborative learning strategies in several Christian religious education classes. Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar policy, supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, initiated a significant evolution in the educational framework, particularly at the College of Christian Theology. The initiative gives students the autonomy to choose courses, engage in project-based learning, and take part in extracurricular experiences, all aimed at cultivating students' character and spirituality. The implementation of Merdeka Belajar at the College of Christian Theology creates an environment conducive to the development of critical thinking skills, creativity, and an enriched understanding of theology and Christian principles. This study sought to investigate the consequences of this policy on the educational process, students' involvement in external activities, and their role in the formation of students' character and spirituality through a descriptive qualitative methodology based on a literature review. Findings indicate that this policy positively influences character development among students, enhancing their abilities in collaboration, autonomy, creativity, and ethical standards. This research aspires to illuminate the impact of Merdeka Bilajar's policy in the realm of theological education and facilitate more comprehensive student development, integrating intellectual, character, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

Indonesia, recognized as one of the most culturally diverse countries globally, presents an extraordinary array of linguistic, ethnic, cultural, religious and other variations. Nonetheless, there are still multicultural tensions stemming from differences in culture, religion and other sociocultural dimensions, suggesting that the pursuit of multicultural education in Indonesia has not produced optimal and equitable results. Therefore, it is imperative to adopt a multicultural framework that fosters values that can be achieved by learners and a society characterized by tolerance and peace. This research utilizes a qualitative methodology with a focus on a library study, which aims to collect diverse literary sources related to the idea of multicultural education and its role in fostering attitudes of tolerance. By promoting multicultural principles, enhancing inclusive curricula, and providing appropriate guidance from educators, this approach can profoundly enhance students' capacity for tolerance.

This study uses a qualitative approach with an in-depth literature study analysis from various reliable sources related to the topic of pastoral competence and spirituality and its impact on the growth of congregational faith. The purpose of this study is to analyze how pastoral competence and spirituality affect the growth of congregational faith, as well as to provide an understanding of the factors that support the success of pastoral care in the context of the church. The results of this study indicate that both factors have a mutually supportive impact in creating a healthy church environment and building the congregation's faith. Pastors who are competent in teaching and leadership and have a deep spiritual life are able to provide examples that inspire the congregation to grow in faith and actively participate in church services.
