Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between the independent variable, Solid Personality, with its dimensions (control, challenge, commitment), and the dependent variable, job bullying, with its dimensions (belittling, undermining work, verbal abuse). The core research question was: "What is the relationship between Solid Personality and job bullying among a purposive sample at the College of Management and Economics, University of Karbala?" The significance of this research was underscored by the insights obtained from a thorough survey and analysis of the opinions of the research sample, which comprised 185 teaching respondents. This sample included the dean, 2 teaching assistants, and 182 teaching staff members. To collect data, a structured questionnaire was developed, based on a five-point Likert scale. The study utilized both descriptive and analytical statistical methods. Descriptive methods included calculating the arithmetic mean and standard deviation, while analytical methods involved linear regression and correlation coefficients, employing the SPSS software. The most critical conclusions drawn from the study highlighted the significant impact of Solid Personality on job bullying within the organization under investigation. The findings revealed that certain personality traits could potentially reduce instances of job bullying, thereby contributing to a more positive and supportive work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of parents in providing financial education to Generation Z students at UPN Yogyakarta and how this education impacts their financial behavior. Utilizing a phenomenological research approach, the study involved in-depth interviews with ten respondents from UPN Yogyakarta. The research explores the factors that lead these students to recognize the importance of financial education imparted by their parents, along with other psychological and economic factors that underscore the necessity of financial literacy for wise money management. The findings reveal several key insights. Firstly, parents significantly shape their children's financial behaviors, with those who receive early financial education from their parents demonstrating better money management skills. Secondly, students who did not receive financial education from their parents often turn to digital platforms like YouTube and Instagram to gain financial knowledge. Thirdly, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are more likely to seek financial literacy independently to avoid financial pitfalls. Additionally, psychological factors, such as self-awareness and resilience, play a crucial role in shaping financial behavior. Lastly, there is a notable variation in financial literacy among the respondents, influenced by their family backgrounds and the financial education they received. These results underscore the importance of parental involvement in financial education and the need for targeted strategies to enhance financial literacy among students, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds. The study highlights the potential benefits of incorporating financial education into early childhood development to foster prudent financial behaviors.

Abstract

This paper sought to examine the causality nexus of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Economics Growth in Tanzania. Specifically, the research aim to assess the impact of FDI to manufacturing, agricultural and service sectors. Moreover, the study employed time series data from 1993 to 2023. FDI inflow is always considered an important economic growth catalyst in developing economies. Neoclassical growth theories proposed that FDI enhances economic growth by augmenting capital stock and technology. According to the neoclassical models, FDI does not enhance the long-run growth rate but instead is related to the output level. Autoregressive Distributed Lags (ARDL) models was employed to determine the long-run and causal relationship between variables of interest in all three models of the study. The findings of the manufacturing output model suggest that FDI has positive and statistically significance effect to manufacturing sector in both short run and long run. In agriculture and service sector models only short run estimation was captured due to lack of co-integration pattern among variables. The findings indicated a positive and statistical significant unidirectional causality running from FDI to both agricultural and service sectors output. Based on the findings of the study the policy implication is that Tanzania should emphasize FDI-led growth policies to enhance sustainable economic growth to realize the desired economic objectives at the macro level.

Abstract

As the global population continues to grow, waste management has emerged as a critical environmental and public health challenge. In Georgia, inadequate waste management infrastructure exacerbates environmental degradation, necessitating the urgent development of modern waste processing facilities. This study addresses the gap in Georgia's waste management practices by assessing public perception of waste processing plants and evaluating the feasibility of their construction.Using a mixed-method approach, this research involved a survey of 120 respondents across various regions of Georgia, combined with a comprehensive literature review and site visits to existing landfills. The survey results reveal that 92.5% of respondents support the construction of waste processing plants, and 84.2% are willing to use products made from recycled materials. These findings indicate a strong public endorsement for sustainable waste management practices. The study also identifies demographic trends, with younger and more educated individuals showing greater support for waste processing initiatives. The findings suggest that there is a significant opportunity to advance Georgia's waste management system by leveraging public support and implementing modern processing facilities. The practical implications of this study are far-reaching, providing valuable insights for policymakers, city planners, and environmental agencies. The data underscores the need for immediate action to construct waste processing plants, which will not only reduce landfill dependency but also contribute to economic development and environmental sustainability. Future research should focus on the economic feasibility of various waste management methods and the long-term environmental impacts of waste processing facilities.
